This review is for the restaurant and not the boat rentals. The view is really nice. You're by the marina and you see all these boats. The service was bad though. We probably waited about 20 mins before a server came to us. We even went to the bar to inquire if we order there. It doesn't seem like a busy afternoon. There were a few empty tables. When the server finally came she was nice. But she forgets a lot of stuff. We had to remind her about silverware, our drinks, condiments. The food was ok. We ordered the fish tacos and club sandwich. You're definitely paying for the location here. We ordered at the counter, the food was brought out and that was the last we saw of any service. Salmon burger tasted like salmon on bread, no other flavors aside from black pepper. It was fine. If you're new or visiting McCall, MILE HIGH MARINA IS THE PLACE TO GO. Best on-the-lake eating/drinking/people watching experience in McCall BY FAR! Not only is it a happening spot, but the food is great, drinks are cold and plentiful, and it just has a great, casual, easy-going vibe that you don't want to miss. Food: The food is typical grill food, which makes it great for a hot summer's day. The burger is tasty and served on a ciabatta bun. I really like the Asian salad with grilled chicken. While I'd take a pass on the chips and salsa, the artichoke dip is pretty good! Drinks: The house margarita is great. This last year they got a license to have a full bar so order away! Everything is good. They have a delicious drink (can't remember the name) that combines lemonade and 44 North vodka... order it! It's amazing. Also, if you like milkshakes, venture inside and order a shake! They're thick and HUGE and delicious! Atmosphere: You can't beat it. The music is great. The people watching as everyone comes in off the lake and goes out to the docks is worth it alone. You see all types here! There are rating cards at each table for you to rate the loading and unloading of boats. That can get really fun and people really get into it. Service: It's an order-at-the bar set-up, so don't expect anyone to stop by your table (unless you're re-ordering drinks that is!). While the service may not be super-quick, that's not what this place is all about. If you venture out and utilize the actual marina services, those folks are stellar. Also, the owners are always there, helping guests, taking orders, even bussing tables. Now THAT'S service. Happy Hour Offerings: Daily specials & happy hour times. Reserved a 12 passenger pontoon boat a month in advance. We were called on the morning of our reservation as we were leaving the house to be told that there was no boat for us. That there was a glitch in the system and double booked the boat. So we decided to go down to the marina and ask if there was anything they could do for us. We were told that they would allow us to take out a 8 passender ski boat for the same price as the 12 passenger...hmmmm..not very accommodating. We had 2 dogs, 2 ice chest, 8 people on a 8 passenger ski boat....Not very relaxing. We talked them down on the price by about $20 and decided to go out for 1/2 day. What the heck!! As we were eating lunch (waiting for 1/2 day to start), they call and let us know they have an 8 passenger pontoon boat instead. We decide we would go ahead and take this boat..more room, more relaxing but still about the same price as the original boat. We thought maybe if we talked to them at the marina they might come down on the cost since this is not what we wanted in the first place. Then they call back 15 minutes later to tell us, oh sorry, it's not available any more!!! At this point we just say forget it. Why give our money to an establishment who doesn't want to keep customers happy. We totally get glitches in the system but they were not very good at customer service at all. We later found out that you can rent boats from another business...we will be going there next time!! :) read more

I live next-door to this place so needless to say I'm a frequent flyer. I was extremely disappointed to see three cooks all of whom do not know how to properly wear a mask over their nose and mouth. I was extremely disappointed to see the main cook, who was wearing gloves, pop food into his mouth on several occasions, pulling his mask down each time but not ever changing his gloves. Another man who appeared to be in some sort of leadership position did not seem to know what A mask is. Unfortunately I observed all this while waiting to pay my bill after I had eaten. This is just not a bad food safety Covid review, this is just bad food safety in general . If there is a Covid outbreak in McCall you can certainly count on it starting at this marina. read more

A pet friendly outdoor grill right on the lake with great views. It's a little busy with the marina activity, with lots of folks renting boats and jet skis, with the traffic going right thru the grill area. There's an outdoor bar where you can order a number of beers on tap and in the bottle. Service was friendly. We didn't eat but it looked good. This place is ok if you're looking for a place to chill, drink and maybe listen to some live music. Limited menu and ok food. If you're looking for a place to eat, there are much better places in town. I think the booze and the view are the draw here. Pretty good lake view right off the boat ramp. It gets crowded and you may find yourself fighting for seats or just plain out of luck at times. Great experience 2 lunches in a row at Mile High. It's counter ordering and they bring the food to your table overlooking the marina. They have probably the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. We tried salads, BLT, hot dogs, lettuce wraps. Good mixed drinks and bar as well. Frankly this is some of the best food I've had served on a paper plate. I can't say enough about Mile High. We rented a pontoon boat for the day and ate at the grill for lunch. Food: OUTSTANDING! My fish tacos were pure heaven. Best ever ever ever ever.... They don't have chicken strips for kids so we ordered a BBQ chicken breast with chips & it got gobbled up!!! My son had a hotdog that he seemed to love...there was nothing left (he isn't a big eater) and the sandwich was also a big hit!!! Drinks: yummy! We ordered a couple specialty cocktails that were perfect on a sunny afternoon. I also noticed a good selection of beers avail. The young girls at the dock were hard working, friendly, parked our boat, found our girls some sand toys to play with, nonstop smiles & attention...even to my curious 4 ur old daughter who asks a lot of questions! Dealt with "one of the owners" and she was incredibly rude, condescending, and vague with their policies. When I attempted to clarify and ask questions she actually segued in to telling me and my family she couldn't accommodate a jet ski rental. She simply turned the business down, and the only person being treated poorly and with disrespect was me the customer. I don't know if we caught her on the wrong day, but unfortunately for me first impressions are EVERYTHING. I would never want to give my business to an establishment that could clearly care less if they acquire it. Thumbs down, ZERO STARS, and thank goodness this was before I handed over any money. I suppose their success must be based on sheer luck and location because the whole interaction with the OWNER was deplorable. read more

I use to work down the street from Rubios #1 back in the 80s. For those not familiar, Rubios introduced the fish taco wayyyy back then. The mile high "marina" bar had a problem with me wearing a swimsuit on the Fourth of July. This wasn't a very revealing swimsuit and I was one of many people wearing swimsuits.
