My better half ordered the bean and cheese enchiladas, though there was a little mix-up with the order (they accidentally got meat and cheese instead), but the staff handled it perfectly and made it right. The outdoor setting with views of Payerte Lake was truly beautiful. We had hiked for a few hours and could not find much open and ventured into this place, but it did not disappoint us. Only because I can't do zero! There were 3 of us but our 3rd was a few minutes behind. We were here for a business dinner. They would not seat us so we could order drinks & apps until he arrived. By the time he arrived, they had seated 6 more groups and now there are a whole list of folks ahead of us! Have been eating here since they opened but would never come again if they were the last remaining Marguerita on earth! Sat on the patio and it was an oven. A couple fans would have helped a lot. This place is cash only but they tell you when you come in so it is not a surprise at the end of the meal. The servers don't communicate with each other very well but the food was very good and made up for a lot of other things. Food came out as hot as you usually hear when you eat at a Mexican place! Un town for an art festival, I stopped at this restaurant not knowing what to expect--it's a small town in Idaho, after all. I decided to try the Carnitas burrito, but when they told me all the burritos are wet, I got nervous. My past experiences with wet burritos? Not great. I was skeptical. Then the burrito arrived, and I took my first bite. Let me tell you--I thought I died and went to heaven. This was hands down the tastiest burrito I've ever had. The carnitas were perfect, the sauce was incredible, and everything tasted so fresh. I've been dreaming about that burrito ever since I left. The only downside? The service was subpar. I ordered to go, and the server seemed a bit impatient with me, which was disappointing. However, I'd drive three hours just to eat here again. I haven't tried every burrito place in Idaho, but this one? It's already at the top of my list. If you're even remotely close, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't regret it! read more

What a great Mexican restaurant. It was cold and raining outside so no waterfront dining on their brand new deck. I was seated after a 5 minute wait. The Bar was completely packed with happy customers. They have my highly recommended Skinny Cadillac Margaritas. They are absolutely delicious. In Florida, they call them Top Shelf margaritas but they don't even compare to these here in McCall. Food was mediocre to say the least. Nothing authentic. Carne asada meat in the tacos for the left over ends of the meat fried to a crisp. I ordered a skinny margarita on the rocks with no salt. It's unfortunate that the hostest has to leave such a stain on this restaurant. As a local, it is a favorite. Food is great, service is fast, but the "I AM GOD" attitude is a tragedy! Drove up to McCall for the day and arrived around lunchtime. Called a few places that we'd wanted to try but no one picked up so we ended up here just because we found street parking nearby. We were immediately seated outside and served chips with 2 salsas and bean dip. I liked the green salsa-thumbs up on that! We ordered the 2-item lunch combo with a chicken taco & enchilada and the carne asada. The carne asada came with guacamole, tortillas, rice and beans and it had a tasty char to it. It was very thin so if you're hungry, you should consider ordering something else. The 2-item combo was mediocre at best, the taco shell looked liked it came from a box and fell apart. The views were nice and our server was pleasant despite the other reviews. It's hard to get a real sense of things during this pandemic so I'll give it a 2.5 stars read more

This place is awesome. Great food and margaritas. Can't visit McCall with our visiting this restaurant. Nice staff and great drinks. The staff seem to actually appreciate you coming in. The food and drinks here have been excellent each and every time. I suspect the bad ratings are from their competitors in the area, which they slaughter in every element of quality, service, presentation and overall experience. The other place can't even make you a real margarita. They peddle some pre-made Mad-Dog margarita that'll make you sick the next day. We decided to give this place a shot because it was a lake view but it was horrible. Short version: They don't take pride in their restaurant and they are rude. Long version: First, the hostess at the front was so rude - no friendliness or warmth. It almost felt like we were her inconvenience. She sat us with menus that had food all over them which was kinda gross. We were seated and all the servers were running around - everything was so chaotic. It wasn't super busy so I can only assume it was understaffed. But also, we were a party of 6 that got sat instantly in mid-summer McCall during dinner on a Saturday. That should have been a red flag LOL My 4 year old's pizza was cold in the center and not cooked all the way. Half way through my husband's dinner, he found a long black hair in his flautas. I let the rude hostess on our way out know (already paid - bill was $85 and we still left $15). She literally didn't acknowledge it at all...LOL. So, I repeated it and I think she grabbed her Dad or something? Maybe he is the owner? In a mocking tone, he said that maybe the hair flew into the food from somewhere else because all his cooks were bald like him. LOL!! Again, we had already paid and was just letting him know as a courtesy because it was pretty gross. I really wish I could go back in time and take a photo but we were pretty annoyed by everything and just wanted to leave.
