LOVE* Salon 121! I have been getting my hair cut with Kristy since i was just a little girl, and now at 20 years old i'm still having her style, cut, and color my hair! Honestly, I would say that roughly 15 years is a milestone -- I am super picky when it comes to hair because I take a lot of pride in how it looks and I always want the latest look. I don't have time for mistakes... Needless to say, Kristy is always on top of it. I go there to see KENYA KIM. I ADORE her! I've been going to her since 2001 and REFUSE to have my hair cut or colored by others. She is the BEST! Beatriz at Salon 121 is a magician with hair. I recently went to her for a Brazilian blow out at the suggestion of a friend. My hair is very curly with lots of frizz, didn't know what to expect. My hair looks absolutely amazing, no frizz, no fly-aways, little styling time. I wake up in the morning looking fabulous! All my friends love it and say it makes me look 20 years younger (I'm 49). The one thing that makes Beatriz a superstar in her profession is that she truly enjoys what she does. After loosing my wonderful hairdresser of 20+ years, she referred me to Sylvia at Salon 121. I couldn't be more pleased. Even though I am 69 years old, Sylvia has brought my hair to a style that's soft and carefree and flattering to my person and age...and a cut I myself can manage, no easy fete. I constantly receive compliments on my hair and inquiries of who does it for me. The negative review I just read about this Salon was a surprise. I have been going to Kenya Kim at Salon 121 for about 7 years - first traveling from Fremont, and now from San Mateo. She is wonderful! I have been going to Kenya to have my hair cut and styled for over 11 years ever since she came to Los Altos. Every cut has been great! She also does a great job on color/highlights. I have recommend Kenya to others and they too have been pleased with cut and color/highlights. She also cuts my children's hair. Kristy has cut my hair for many years now and it has always been a pleasure going into this salon. I keep going back because of the great service I recieve while I am at the salon. I had my hair colored by Lisa Dahl. I was reluctant to have my hair colored for the first time but I needed to look sharp for my job interview. She set me at ease with her relaxed approach and natural looking hair color. She gave me a consultation and even made sure the color would make my skin look better. She assured me that mens hair color is done so it fades out naturally. I was amazed that it covered my gray and faded out naturally over time. read more

Great Hair by Lisa! I had a bad experience when I had highlights at a salon which will remain unnamed. I was so fortunate to ask a friend who did her hair and she referred me to Lisa Dahl. It wasn't until I got there that I found out she specialized in color correction and also does this method called the Toni and Guy haircutting method. Wow I didn't expect all that. Lisa Dahl has been doing my color and haircuts for several years. Before I found Lisa, I thought dry, lifeless hair was part of coloring your hair, but since Lisa started taking care of my hair, I have healthy looking hair and the color is always right! Very nice salon. If you are in need for a "perfect" haircut then I would recommend Kenya Kim. She is one of the few hair stylists I have met so far who really understand how to cut hair. She uses techniques I have not experienced with other hair stylists. Highly recommended. read more
