I went in to get my color touched up and highlights and she did a wonderful job because it was a hot mess before with my roots grown out and I had not gotten a cut in awhile. Christy at Hair Concepts Salon is great! I've gotten my hair cut by her a few times now, and she always does a great job working from my reference photos. One thing I especially appreciate is that she walks me through what she's doing during the process. For example, I usually like to cut 6-8" off at a time, and she always checks in right before and after the initial big chop to make sure we're aligned on the final length. A lot of hairstylists I've had will ask you once at the beginning what you want but then never check back in with you once they've started cutting, so it can be hard to speak up midway through if you're not sure what they're planning to do. But I really appreciate Christy's communication! She's also super friendly and easy to talk to! She's very sweet to chat with while I'm in the chair, and I always feel comfortable asking questions or getting her opinion on things. For the straight perm that Christy does, it is not too harsh on the hair. What I also really appreciate is that Christy also shares that we can do roots touch up only as well--to save on time and money. Love getting haircuts from Christy! I only cut my hair ~1-2 times a year, so it's fun to get a nice haircut. Booking an appointment is always super convenient and I can usually get a same-day appointment on Fridays when I work from home. She first does a broad cut to shorten the hair, then gives a thorough hair wash and blow dry, before cutting further and adding the styling. She finishes off by giving a choice of curling or straightening your hair for the day. I think the price is very reasonable for her good work, $60 + an additional tip for a women's haircut.
