Staff literally didn't do anything other than applying some mask and steam, then tapped my shoulders as a massage that is commonly given with such packages. For Los Altos, the prices are super reasonable and every person I have booked with has done a stellar job. Yolanda is the best. Don't steal her! She always is super funny and distracting too so the time flies. They also have many options for facials and even custom ones. I go monthly for a brow wax and they even have an electromagnetic thing (yes, very scientific) to help decrease the redness. You always feel calm here even when they are ripping off your hair! Jenn is amazing! I have been seeing a dermatologist for acne for years. They always tell me to use benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin to kill the bacteria. After a while, my skin adjusts and the acne comes back. One day I decided to get a facial as a treat, because it seemed like a fun thing to do. After Jenn worked with my face, she said I had dry skin and just needed some moisturizer. It's been one week since then, I've put on moisturizing sunscreen every day, and my acne has gotten a lot better! I'm amazed that in four years of seeing me, the dermatologists never told me about my dry skin that Jenn found in an hour. Worth every penny. read more

My facial treatment was good. Except she went to deep on one of the extractions on my cheek. At least One full year later...I still have a open pore because of this mistake from a "professional". I've gone to the St .Regis spa for facials ever since this experience and they've said there nothing that can really be done. I am 24 years old with a noticeable tiny black whole on my cheek because I went to this place. I now have to live with it . Also when I brought it up, The women said that I was okay with it..? I had my very first facial today and had no idea what to expect or what to ask for. I was a bit nervous, so I was grateful for Alyssa. She greeted me warmly and instructed me to sit, relax and enjoy the ambiance. She answered all my noob questions and was super friendly. She recommended a peel and products best for my oily skin and tested the peel before applying it all over. She was great at balancing describing what she was doing, chatting vs. being quiet, and letting me relax and take in all the smells. Closing my eyes and taking in the smells was a mindfulness practice I enjoyed. Nothing was painful, and my skin feels great! I have had quite a few facials in my day and I fully recommend Alyssa. Alyssa explains everything she is doing and what she is using while she is applying any products during the facial. She is thorough and wants you to be as relaxed as you can while getting a wonderful facial. I felt it was very reasonably priced, even with a peel added on to the custom facial. The business is very cute, easy to locate, and easy to find parking. Yesterday I brought in my sister for a facial and she brought up that her esthetician Ariel asked her what ethnicity was and exclaimed "that's so cool you can speak English without much of an accent"... we were born and raised here. And in Los Altos?? Come on. And she did one extraction when there are plenty that could be done. I had Ellie this time and she was great, but the esthetician I had the previous time also didn't do any extractions and did not use the steam machine either. I've been getting peeling done (on and off) for almost 7 years now. Every time my skin gets better, I stop taking care of it, go out too much in the sun and mess it up again. One of my resolutions for this year is to not do exactly that. I started coming to Kally last year but this year I started being regular. She really takes her time to understand your skin and your concerns, she is very gentle when it comes to extractions which hasn't always been the case for me at bloom, and she really focuses on making the best masks for your skin concerns! I've gotten a sheet mask before and was disappointed for the price of the facial, so seeing her do all the mixings really reassured me that I love Bloom as a place! Her pressure on her upper body massage as the mask sits is AMAZING! she's overall just so relaxing and wants to curate the best experience for you. Went in for a brow wax. My appointment was with Birdie. She has such an excellent eye for brows. I've been getting mine threaded for a while now but it will be well worth the drive to keep seeing her. Never been happier with the shape! Birdie has a very relaxing and professional demeanour, which makes being able to relax and trust her so easy. I love going to Bloom in downtown Los Altos. I get the full facial wax with eye brow tinting and it is amazing! Ever since my double-lung transplant I've started growing facial hair because of the anti-rejection meds I take but with the full facial wax it leaves my face so smooth and exfoliated. I had never gotten my eyebrows tinted before so I was a little nervous because I thought it would be too dramatic and dark but it wasn't! It's very natural looking and the dye they use is all natural and vegan. If you decide to go to Bloom be sure to ask for Thi, she's amazing! read more

Sad to be writing this because I wanted to love this place like most people but my experience was VERY lame. The stars are really for the products; Zero stars for the service. Here's the story: I was the last person to be seen on the day. Everybody had left the office but my esthetician and the receptionist. The esthetician tried to be sweet and all, but she was very heavy-handed. She managed to get product inside my closed eyes during my facial (the movements were so jerky, her hands would pull my lids open) but that was ok... she had some eye wash handy and we were able to carry on with the process. However, what really was the last straw for me was how she chose to handle the steam machine situation. What happened was: the steam machine didn't want to turn on. For those of us who get facials fairly often, we understand how important that machine is. It's usually the first thing they get going on your face so your pores open up. Well, the machine didn't want to turn on. The esthetician then walks outside in an attempt to replace it for another one from a different room--I stay in the room while both her and the receptionist try to make that happen. The esthetician comes back in with a machine (which I assumed was a new one), never attempts to turn it on, and carries on with her process. She "wanted me to have a good time and relax." Deep inside I was wondering when the heck that machine would go on. Well, she spreads the masks on my face and what not, and then, without warning, moves on to extractions. I froze because aside from it being painful as hell--I was paying to get a facial, with steam and all. I asked how come we were doing extractions without having done ANY steam, and to my surprise, SHE TRIED TO PLAY ME by saying "it was on, very low..." She even had the guts to say these exact words: "I hope you're not feeling like you're not getting what you paid for." Woman, I WAS IN THAT ROOM AS WELL. She never turned the steam on, and way to make it awkward uh! I asked her not to do any extractions at all because I would hate to have scars over some lame service I got at this awful place. Long story short, I paid $95 + tip (yes, I didn't speak up) to have her hands carve into my skull in an awful massage, ZERO extractions, and product in my eyes. Never coming back, and telling everyone I know not to set foot there until they train their people properly. read more

I am not someone who typically get treatments for my skin, but I had a special occasion coming up that called for it to get a little more attention than normal. I made an appointment here with Jinah based on feedback from friends. When I came in, the receptionist greeted me and informed me that my esthetician would be ready in a moment. I looked around the seating area at some of the products they carried, and the receptionist was able to answer some of the questions I had. When I went in for the facial, the ambiance of the room was very calming. There were water and nuts, and I was offered the option to change into shorts and robe. I declined the kind offer. The service that I chose was the Microderm Facial to renew my skin, based on Jinah's recommendation. The process was gentle, yet I could feel the smoothing on my skin as it was happening. I could feel how much just the treatment alone had improved the look and feel of it as soon as it was over. As a side benefit, the entire facial was very relaxing for me after a long week; I think I may have dozed off at one point! I came back once more just a few weeks later for a Men's No Fuss facial because I was really happy with the way my skin felt and the reactions I received about how much better it looked! I would highly recommend Jinah if you decide to give the place a try! read more
