Stay away from this place!! I would have given them a minus star if I could. I made an appointment for my granddaughter and when we arrived for our appointment we were told that the person that was supposed to take care of her was not in. The lady said that he must have gotten his weekend messed up because he was on tour. She proceeded to say that no one was able to take care of us and we could come back tomorrow. Needless to say, I was highly upset. I drove all the way there for nothing and the kicker was I gave my phone number when I made the appointment! He could have called and rescheduled the appointment! Zero actually. I was first time client. Needed trim I wear basically pixie cut. When I called for appt I said needed new salon. Owner turned me over to Milo her husband. He cut my hair with clippers and I have bald spots all over especially around ears and the highlights are dark brown. Got my refund 103. They kept 20. Please please make sure you don't get the owners husband. I've never been more disappointed in haircut also I've bought several wigs $$$$ had to return over and over till found one that's ok basically. I feel saloon 2 2 should pay me for this as well. I had my 1st experience at Salon 22 today and boy am I happy!! I wasn't sure what colors I wanted so I put it in Richelle's able hands! I am so glad I did. I was offered different types of tea. I lover the decor and the vibe of the salon. Their prices are very reasonable. There was no hard sell on product and I LOVE that. Everyone was very friendly and it felt like I was a long time customer even though it was my 1st visit. I am going to try out some of their other treatments. I will be back soon! The price was reasonable $130 assuming the tech wasn't that experienced? The consultation was a mess, I explained and showed the stock picture and walked out with a light brown ombre. (took 4 hours) and then I went back to get it fixed to look more like the picture and spent another 5 hours in the salon just to have it be two different colors and added blonde highlights. My cousin loves this salon, so I took her advise. That was my mistake! I have course thick curly/wavy hair. The day of my hair cut my hair looked at mess. So I just got up, brushed my hair and walked out the door to the salon because I knew they were going to make it better. I was sat in the chair, my stylist brushed my hair and started cutting. They cut for about 5 minutes, before they asked if I wanted a wash. The wash experience was awkward, but not terrible. They just seemed really uncomfortable washing my hair. I was just assuming they were new and perhaps not comfortable yet washing peoples hair yet. After the wash I was sat back in the chair where my hair was dried. NO PRODUCT OR HEAT PROTECTION was used on my hair. Keep in mind, I have very thick course curly/wavy hair. I was absolutely mortified at this point. Then the stylist began cutting my hair for a second time. They were using a fine tooth comb to attempt to get the knots out of my hair. It wasn't working, so they just started cutting the knots out of my hair. Honestly, if some type of products were used, I probably wouldn't have had knots in my hair. The stylist wasn't really measuring. They were just going at it with the scissors. They also skipped cutting my hair all around my face so now my hair is longer in the front compared to the rest of my hair by at least 2 inches. It is very blunt and obvious. I also asked for my undercut to be cut as well. Somehow my undercut is almost to my crown of my head. My undercut somehow grew about 3.5 inches taller. This is something I did not asked for. My stylist also left me in the chair 3 times to fix the music which kept going out. Keep in mind, I was the only customer in the building. For some reason the other stylist or owner couldn't be bothered with that task. Every time the music when out, my stylist was getting more pissed. So I'm not sure if my haircut was the result of anger or if that was just their preferred technique. At this point, I was still ok with the salon fixing my hair. It's super cute and very close to my house. Plus my cousin swears by this place, she just absolutely loves it. This is the scary part in my opinion, a few days later I called the salon and I just said I got a bad haircut, can you please help me fix it. My stylist personally called me back, I panicked and hung up. I was really hoping any other employee at this salon, like the owner, would of called me. At this point, this stylist call me an additional two more times from different phone numbers. Back to back! After the way I saw them act when the music turned off, I did not want to deal with them, screaming at me over the phone. Honestly, I got scared. On the upside, my haircut was $35. It should only take a few years to grow out my uncut, so it's not at the crown of my head. read more

I used to like this place until the last time MY HUSBAND went up there for a haircut THAT I PAID FOR. The girl who normally does his hair which I never had an issue with before clearly displayed favoritism. Why is he coming back LATE to pick ME UP from work to tell me that CLARISSA or claire (I know I probably butchered the spelling) straight up was flirting with him. What normally takes 25 minutes for a haircut why is it that this woman decides to take an hour WHEN HES WATCHING HIS DAUGHTER. Came to this place on 1/16/23 and upon arrival, I probably should've turned around because there was a lot of tension and arguing between Richelle and another hairdresser right in front of many customers. I asked her to not take off a lot of length off my 13-year-old hair. Only a half an inch she ended up taking off 3 inches and he was in tears, not wanting to go to school and embarrassed about the horrible haircut. she gave him. She was so rough with her mannerism and kept asking him what was wrong in a bullying manner that he was afraid to tell her he hated his hair cut . He also did not want a shampoo and I asked her not to shampoo his hair, but she insisted instead of just sprayed it down with a spray bottle she does not listen to what her clients needs. Are. She just gives them what she thinks they should have. She insisted she make an appointment for me and told me how I needed to do my hair when I wasn't even the client. I have two grandsons and wanted to get them hair cuts. Their ages are 1 and 2. I called them because they are local. Spoke to a nice young lady on Friday, November 4, 2022. I chose them for location and that service kids. I explained that my oldest grandson had a cut before but the youngest didn't. She said no problem I did ask could I come close to closing time for this reason. We get there, Erin took us and seemed nervous but did her best. A male stylist came over and suggested he sit on my lap and that seem to be better. My grandson was a little fussy at first then calmed down and then got irritated, and started crying. After Erin got to cut his pretty much down some. I did my best to help with calming him down and he didn't do that bad. Then this lady came from in back, not sure if she was the owner and said, your going to have to keep him from crying we have other clients. I explained I told them their age and asked to come at the end of day. So I was pissed off at how she came at us. She kept coming out waiting to say something and when he got restless, this was her opportunity. I asked Erin how much she charge she said 12.00 I gave her twenty and walked away. Then the owner I guess said she didn't know I gave this information before we came. Well sometimes ask before you open your big mouth. But her dog walking around barking at people was ok. Then told us we didn't have to pay. I pay for my services, I told Erin she can't tell me not to pay you, you did cut my grandson hair, but it was not finished. Not Erin's fault. Bought the mani/pedi deal on Livingsocial and it was a great deal. My mom and I both scheduled to do ours at the same time. Although they only have one pedicure chair, we were both spoiled by our hosts. The owner is very personable. The vibe in the shop is very hip. Young and old will enjoy being pampered. It is a bit small inside but really fun to look at all the neat decorations the owner has put up. You can really tell she works hard to make her salon unique and clean. If I could give no stars, I would. (I am not the first person this salon has disrespected either. Go on Facebook and read the reveiews from other customers. The salons comment to those reviews are snotty also. The salon is horrible with customer service.) Anyways, I visit many different Salons around cities and states to make review videos on YouTube. I usually get Groupon deals. So, I purchased 2 groupons, one for shampoo/cut/partial highlights/style and the other just shampoo and cut. I ALWAYS read the fine print on things I am about to purchase. The salon is open mon-Sunday. I was excited because this was a new place for me to visit and I was taking my mom for mom and me time. (Mom works Mon-Friday 12-9pm. So only weekends work for her.) I called to make an appointment at Salon 22. I then called and the phone was passed to a lady named RICHELLE. (Guess she does the Groupon people) i explained my mothers work schedule to her. So this Richelle from Salon 22 told me she "doesn't accept the Groupon on weekends because they don't make enough money through Groupon for weekends. They rather have walk ins". Listen, if you don't want to work with Groupon people, why even put out promotions on Groupon in the first place? No matter what, it's very unacceptable to act the way she acted. She was very rude and had an horrible attitude. She huffed and puffed and finally said she'll just do it for us, but after I said thank you and I appreciate it, she hung up. She did not say thank you or anything. I did not feel comfortable with her doing my mothers and my hair because of what she said and how she acted. She could easily make us wait hours like other have. She could easily mess up our hair. She could easily be extremely rude to us, like others experienced there. Her customer service was horrible and unacceptable. I did not go and I contacted Groupon, they gave me a refund and said it was unacceptable. I also made a YouTube review about it. Give excellent customer service to everyone, no exceptions. If you're angry, or don't want to do something but have to, hide those expressions from the customers. They are paying you. I have never had a problem with this salon! The salon itself is so so stylish and the stylists are welcoming, which gives the ultimate experience. Many times ill walk into a salon and the stylists stare with no words but not here, they greet you and offer coffee etc. Ive gotten my hair colored, cut, and had extensions put into my hair and i have no complaints whatsoever! This is a laid back, creative salon. They offer pedis/manis while your hair processes which is nice. I dye my hair a lot and my stylist was still able to achieve what i asked for, which was all over color and blue peekaboos. I read some of the other comments but, my experience was that they were upfront with the pricing and it was really reasonable. There was a young boy in there who screamed all through his haircut but the stylist handled it well and the parents seemed happy. I will be recommending this place to others. read more

While I completely stand by my original review that Salon 22 was OK but not great and the salon itself kind of dirty, but understandably so, as they were very understaffed that day, I have chosen to remove my review at the request of Rochelle from the salon. My review was what I felt was an accurate picture of my experience at the salon. Rochelle and her staff, of course, disagree and felt that my review was mean and ridiculous. Rochelle did say "come in with me and I'll do something with your hair." I won't be going in, because I'm afraid of what that "something" might be after the hostile message she left on my machine. Clearly customer service is not her forte, but that's cool. I still think it is a good salon for guys' haircuts. I obviously won't be going back, but wish the salon staff the best. read more

I went there for a no chip manicure and regular pedicure. I didn't like it. They didn't even file my nails the same size. They didn't give me the French tips like I wanted. And it took two hours to do a manicure and pedicure. My no- Chip manicure only lasted five days. I will not go back to this place! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Not only was the owner over booked but she did the direct opposite of what I asked her to do. I showed her various pictures of what I wanted but she ended up doing what she wanted. Was very rude as well, acted like I was in her way most of the time I was there. Now my hair is poorly colored and can not be fixed till it grows out due to the damage done. So BEYOND EMBARRASSED to show my hair in public. Needs more organization and needs to stop OVER BOOKING. While I was there she had 5 other clients and I was there for over 3 hours. She had very high prices for someone who does such a poor job. I came across this salon through a living social deal for a mani/pedi. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that there had been a mistake and that they did not have me on the schedule. Obviously I was not happy and requested that they compensate me for the wasted time and gas. They agreed to upgrade me to a no chip mani for the same price. When I arrived for my second appointment I was again told that the girl that was supposed to do my nails was running late and was not going to be able to make it into the salon. After explaining that this is the SECOND time this had happened they found a girl to do my nails...almost 45 min after my initial appointment time! The girl who did my nails was sweet but very slow. Over an hour for a mani/pedi is ridiculous especially since they did not do a good job filing. Not a spa pedicure ! Against my better judgement I decided to get my daughters haircut there. Thinking maybe the are not great in the nail department.Big mistake !! It looked nothing like the picture and we needed to take her to a different salon to have it fixed. If I could give this place a zero stars I would! I took my son here today for their holiday five dollar kids cuts. First off the lady told me it would be 15 to 20 minute wait and it was more like 30. Then the lady that helped us was horrible! She was that older stylist in the salon and was very rude to my son. As soon as he got in her chair she told him that they don't cut hair for kids that are crybabies. Of course that got them off on the wrong! And when I told her I wanted his hair cut with scissors and nit clippers she gave me an attitude and rolled her eyes. If you don't know how to work with children in a nice way, don't advertise children's haircuts! I should of know this place was bad when i had to wait a week and 1/2 to make a mani/pedi appt they called 3 times to confirm my appt. They have the most uncomfortable chair for a pedi!! The girl was inexpericenced and took 1 1/2 hours to complete pedi. The manicure was even worse!! To top it off I got a parking ticket for $50 i was over the 2 hour limit!! Never again will I go here. I bought a Groupon and went here for lash extensions. My initial experience was not good: when I arrived Noone greeted me, offered me a deink, etc. I sat and was finally greeted and told by another rep that my appointment would not start on time and that I needed to wait 30 min. I was flabbergasted. I left and went to ATM. When I returned, ROCHELLE, my tech was irritated that she had to wait for me. I should have taken this as a sign of things to come. When I scheduled my fill in appointment, I was told that fillings were free. I returned today and stood there waiting as i overheard Rochelle telling a walk-in that she'd take him after she finished her client and then she'd take me. I stood there speechless. She turned and told me that I had to wait 20 min. before my appointment would begin. I informed her that she needed to call and inform her clients if she was running behind. She said that she'd just arrived at work and had no clue that she'd have all these people. Here's the icing on the cake... when my appointment ended, she told me that I needed to pay $35. I reminded her that she told me that it'd be free. She stated that she told me only within 5 days and had no time to talk to me because she was busy with other clients. I had a living social.com deal and it was the best shampoo I have ever had. She did wonderful on my hair and everyone was so sweet.
