I went into Salon 5 a little worried about my hair. I had been to another salon about six months earlier asking for a highlights, and they sent me on way with an orange brassy mess. It was hard for me to trust again. Ana the hairstylist at Salon 5 reassured me, that she would be able to fix my brassy orange hair. Not only did she fix my hair but she also transform my hair in to something that I've never had. My hair is Beautiful. She listen to everything I said that I wanted. She went above and beyond my expectations. She also added a little pop of color, I wanted purple and it was so beautiful the way she did it. She called that the peekaboo and now ever time I do my hair, I look at it and I just stare. I amazed at how Awesome it looks. If you want your hair change and you want it done in a professional awesome unique way go to Ana. She is now my hairdresser for life! Went to Salon5 for the first time today. I called at 1pm and was able to get in for a 130pm appointment. Kudos to the salon for being and to get me in so quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when I came into the salon, the atmosphere is nice and serene. And the music was good too.. no commercials.. and nice variety. When I came in my stylist (Carmen) sat me down and discussed what I wanted done. I only had a few Pinterest pictures that I wanted to aim towards but knew wouldn't be exactly right for my hair (I have mid length, super curly, frizzy hair and the girls in the pictures had long, thick, straight hair. Carmen was amazing, she pegged exactly what I wanted out of my visit to the salon. I will be returning to the salon for sure. read more

I have had the worst experience with hair salons in the past. I have been looking to have a balayage done to my hair for 2 years but the last place made me completely blonde. I googled a salon in my area that does balayage and Salon 5 popped up. Price was super decent as well $125. I made my appointment with Ana online and boy has she been heaven sent. Ana was right on time for the appointment, I showed her a picture of what I wanted online and she executed it. My appointment was from 1:30-5:30pm and I was out of the salon by 3:00pm. Ana gave me just the right amount of conversation... I'm usually running around with my head cut off for my family and work so when I get to have "me time" it's nice to just chill and relax and not have my ear chewed off... what really impressed me is that the price was listed online $125..and when came time to paying the amount requested was $125. Usually salons want to buckle and dime you and charge for everything... she dyed, used toner, washed, blew dried and styled... I'm super impressed with this place and Ana was the best... I will definitely be back and already started giving out her number on request from friends... Go see Ana guys. read more

Salon 5 is great! I was very impressed, it is trendy, clean, modern, and it's an AVEDA Salon! My stylist "SONIA" is amazing!! She is experienced and knows what she's doing. I am very picky, and many stylists cut hair how they want it to look and don't really listen to what the customer wants. She takes her time and makes sure to cut your hair EXACTLY how you want it. She understands and makes your haircut feel worth it. She actually texturizes, puts products in your hair, and gives you styling advice. It is hard nowadays to find someone that can cut and color. I usually have to go to one person to cut my hair then drive across town to get my hair color. Sonia does it all! And the best part, Salon 5 is literally 3 minutes from my house. Location is perfect! Sonia is very friendly and extremely easy to talk to. I am getting my hair colored in a month and I am super excited! My hair is black and it's hard to get it to the right color. She explained the process and she keeps a file of what she does, so she knows exactly what colors to use for the next time. She is educated about color and has had a lot of training. I wish I could give 10 stars! Jessica is absolutely amazing. She was able to fix the awful mess my hair was in. I went to another shop last weekend, and my hair looked nothing like I wanted. I left the salon in tears, and had to hide my hair in a bun all week. My fiancé was referred to Jessica by his co-worker and was able to get me an appointment right away. Jessica performed a miracle! Really bummed about my hair. Paid nearly $500.00 for color that faded after a week even after buying and using the expensive salon brand shampoo and conditioner (maybe they get paid when they sell it?) not to mention it is over processed and breaks like straw. It looked good when I left salon of course she had it all done up. Im so sad my long hair will need to be cut off now and re dyed. She was very kind to me and the place is nice and I know they do good work. This was just a miss for them. Edit- It was very nice of them to see my comment and offer a free conditioning treatment. Jessye is up on the current styles, uses products that don't harm you or the environment and is skilled at suggesting what she can do for you and how the style will look. I absolutely love Salon 5, I have had two successful visits. My first trip was Balayage with Sonia, she did a wonderful job with the color, listened to what I wanted, and completely delivered! I tried a bit of a new style on my long hair, and Sonia showed me first what it would look like, and reassured me that it would look great... And it did! Unlike so many scissor happy stylists who want to cut off the damage, this hair stylist effectively styled my locks while keeping the length I wanted. During my second trip I had the Zerran Smoothing Treatment done. I have gotten Brazilian Blowouts in the past, and loved the result; however, I do not love the damage that the laundry list of harsh, unpronouncable chemicals cause to my hair and my body. The staff at Salon 5 were very knowledgeable about vegan products and natural alternatives. Sonia suggested that I try the Zerran products, a vegan smoothing system... I am completely satisfied with the turn out, my hair looks great, and for my hair type- it saves me at least a half an hour getting ready, EVERY DAY, lol, heaven! The pricing at this salon is moderate, cheaper than what I am used to, and easy on my wallet compared to Bay Area prices. I got one of the best haircuts I have ever had, today, at the Salon 5. I decided to call after researching hair salons in Fairfield on Yelp. I am so glad that I did. My stylist, Fabby, did a fabulous job. My fine, mid-length, layered haircut is so precise and has a beautiful shape. Fabby delivered a wash, cut and blow out with high end technique for the bargain price of $40 (not including tip). I am definitely going back. The salon itself is very clean, small and comfortable, with a pleasant, natural-modern decor (way superior to other salons in the area). They offer many Bumble and Bumble, Aveda, and make up products to shop if you are so inclined. One more thing (I promise that I am not on the payroll) - M-W nights they have a bubbly special - for $40 you get ad deep conditioning treatment, wash, blow out and sparkling wine! I haven't gone but am thinking to treat the special ladies in my life to this service - which would give me an excuse to treat myself too! read more

What luck that I found this little gem in Fairfield, CA! Booked an appointment for hair/makeup via online on their website...a plus for me...Patti did an amazing job with my makeup as well as my daughter - simple but classic application - fast and efficient and competent. Ana did our hair and she was fantastic - shampoo and blow dry then style - both of us received nothing but compliments. Prices were very reasonable and their customer service exceptional. Only giving a one star since the woman who handled my hair was sweet but the quality of work that was produced was horrible. I was looking to get a balayage and showed the woman a clear picture of what I wanted. When she cut my hair and styled it, she curled my naturally straight hair so I did not see the difference in lengths that are definitely not layered correctly. Once I showered and had my natural hair I saw how uneven and choppy my cut was. I had to go to a different salon to get is repaired and pay once again. The new stylist I went to told me how bad a coloring job the original stylist had did. At the new salon, the stylist even showed her manager and they contemplated how the thought process of the cut color even occurred. I called into Salon 5 and expressed my concerns to the manager who said "Well, what would you like me to do about it?? Is there something I can send you?" which doesn't correct the issue of a bad hair job. I even told the manager I spent $180 for the original cut and color and had to spend the same amount on getting it fixed. The woman who cut my hair was really nice but her quality of work just was not in this universe. I would advise that if you go to this salon make sure you know a name of stylist and do not go blindly in because you may leave feeling how I did! read more

Salon 5 is fresh, clean and a great little salon. Fabi is seriously amazing! I am pretty convinced it is short for FABULOUS!!! I was super hesitant about cutting my hair, as my previous experiences have been awful. After reading reviews, I jumped in my car and drove over before I lost my nerve. Fabi was able to get me in after only waiting for a few minutes for her to wrap up her clients hair. She really took the time to listen to what I was looking for, and she was super sweet. She gave me an amazing cut. She took her time and really took me from blah to fabulous. She took in consideration to what I liked, and didn't just chop. I absolutely love Sonia's work, she just simply knows what she is doing. The only downside is that I live extremely far from her salon. My sister got her hair done and it looked so beautiful that I wanted it to look like hers lol. Therefore Sonia transformed my highlights into balayage highlights. Salon 5 has been my hair salon for the past 3 Years. I have very fine hair and have always been challenged with finding a hairdresser that knows my hair better than I do. I have my hair highlighted and toned every 6-7 weeks and ALWAYS get numerous compliments almost every time I am with friends and family... I have never experienced this before. I can finally say "I love my hair." As I watch the other stylists in the salon perform their skill on their clients... I love this place! I needed my hair colored, so after driving by and noticing this new salon I decided to give it a chance. I called and they fit in me in the next day. I was impressed by the fact they use Aveda hair coloring products. Aveda as it was expalined to me, is specifically designed for each individual person and is the most natural hair color out there, not to mention it smells actually so good. I was greeted by Sonia, who happened to be my colorist. She was very sweet and informative. I had no idea what i really wanted, but she guided me through and was very patient in explaining everything. Needless to say, the results were amazing. Not only did she do a fantastic job on my color, but the cut and style was great. I will definitely come to Salon 5 again, as well as tell others about it. Where to start?!!! I honestly don't think there are any words that I can formulate to describe how beyond this world this place is. I've been glued to Patti at the hip since I was in high school. She has been the only stylist I've gone back to time and time again. Why do you ask? Because first and foremost she is one awesome (thats not even the beginning) human being and second she works magic! From cutting, coloring, and styling my hair I don't think I can trust anyone else as much as I trust Patti with making me look gorgeous. The entire Salon 5 staff is always warm and welcoming every time I visit. If you are having a stressed out day, these gals will always put a smile on your face. This was my first visit and Jessica did my service. I have to say she was not afraid to get into my hair and the cut. I had several hair challenges which she addressed and explained to me as she worked through the process which allowed me to understand what was happening with my hair, why she cut it the way she did, and how I could style it myself. It has been about a week since the service and I find I am liking the cut better every day. She had some suggestions for color which I plan to have done on my next visit. I got a balayage about a year ago and it was the first color treatment I had done to my hair and I asked her to go easy. I didn't really notice a difference after it was done.... I went to Salon 5 last week for the first time. I made an appointment with Fabiola. She was able to see me the same day. I was welcomed by all employees and was offered some Aveda Ice tea or water to drink. The Aveda tea is really good. (Psst...they sell it at Salon 5!) I was early so I browsed around the salon. I was amazed they had wonderful high end beauty products at reasonable prices for sale in the salon. Fabiola called me back at my appointment time. We decided to do my touch up, even out my high lights with warm tones and cut my hair. I have difficult hair to color. I'm about 50% gray. My hair has always been a challenge. My hair is straight, delicate and very thin. We discussed my color options based on the type of hair I have and my skin tone. We warmed up the color, kept the same style but reshaped it a tiny bit and and gave my hair a trim. I was really pleased with the color, cut and style.I loved the products Fabiola used. She is very knowledgeable. My advise: Please give this Salon a try. I was driving over an hour out of town once a month to have my hair done. Now I drive only 10 minutes for the same if not better results plus the cost is considerable less. During my appointment, I observed that all employees really enjoyed what they were doing and were very friendly and attentive to their clients wants and needs. I had a very relaxing afternoon with the wonderful staff at Salon 5. I re-book in 4 weeks and look forward to my next visit. read more

I saw good yelp reviews and a very reasonably priced bridal package, and signed up for a hair and makeup trial for my wedding. I went into the salon and asked to have an appointment with the bridal consultant, and was told she would call me. I had to go back in 5 days later to talk to the bridal consultant, this should have been a sign to me not to go here. However, I met the consultant, Carmen, and was told she would meet with me for a hair trial. When the time I arrived, I showed up for my appointment and the salon was not even open. I waited several minutes and then the store was opened by the owner and the owner did not know how to use the scheduling software. The woman who was working behind the desk came rushing in and told me Carmen was running late. 20 minutes later, the owner introduced herself and said she could not get in touch with Carmen and told me I should go somewhere else. Mind you- this is a month before my wedding, not much time to find someone else. Very unprofessional, very inconvenient. Will not go back and will warn others against. read more
