I visited Salon Da Spa in the Jennersville Center, West Grove PA for the first time. When I made the appointment, I was not told that I would be booked with a junior stylist, nor was I asked if that was acceptable. I also did not think to ask, which I regret--especially given that this is an expensive, high-end salon. From the start, I had concerns. During the shampoo, water was sprayed into my ear. The stylist did not have a tool cart and instead removed clips and unholstered scissors directly from a drawer, which felt unprofessional. When I showed her a reference photo, she appeared confused. At that point, I should have left. As the cut began, it became clear she was very inexperienced. To avoid further issues, I asked her to simply trim the hair straight across and remove about an inch. Even this basic trim took an unusually long time. When she finished, she called another stylist over to check her work, which confirmed my concerns. At checkout, I was charged $55. When I questioned the price for a student-level stylist, I was told she was a "junior stylist." I paid the bill, left a tip, and left feeling extremely disappointed with both the experience and the lack of transparency. read more

If I'm going to pay $50 for something, I'd like to walk away feeling good about. This is especially the case if that thing I am paying for is attached to the top of my head. Last night I asked my stylist for something different as the cut that I had been getting previously was becoming too much daily maintenance. I have been seeing this stylist for years, since I was a child, so I assumed that after explaining what I had in mind that my stylist would reasonably be able to take care of the rest. I asked for a pretty standard middle part and an all-around cleanup. What I ended up receiving was far below what I would expect from a salon that charges $50 for 30 minutes of their time. My haircut, while it does not look awful from the front, upon closer inspection it looks as if it was done by someone who certainly did not have over ten years of professional experience. There is no feathering, no layering, no care. In the picture I attached you can see that the stylist basically left me looking like a mushroom. Everyone in this Salon is very kind, the decor and ambiance are great, but if you don't provide a great service then what is the point. I could have gone to Supercuts down the road and gotten the same cut for half the price. I am extremely disappointed and frankly will not be bringing my business back here. If you need your haircut, you could probably do better somewhere else. Edit: I forgot to mention that their website is not functional in the slightest either. Mistakes happen but instead of showing the least bit of understanding I was told if I wanted to reschedule I would need to pay over $150.00. No thanks. I'll take this opportunity to try new places. I have been going here for several years now and though I have tried other places I come back to Rosci. I have been to several stylists and love them all. I wish they hadn't moved away from Aveda products but I still like them and would highly recommend. I've gotten my hair colored and highlighted and haven't been disappointed. Make sure you ask to have them put on something so the dye doesn't leave a lot of marks. read more

I have waited before posting my review and be advised this is my experience and my own opinion. I had been going to the same stylist at this salon for over a year. I had standing appointments of every three weeks. My nephew was getting married and six weeks before the wedding I called to request an appointment for immediately prior to the wedding. This time was outside my normal schedule. My stylist could not accommodate me nor could the other stylist that I had used in the past. I called another salon nearby and they accommodated me. In addition, my hair was becoming not manageable and when I requested something be done to tame the split ends and the like, I was informed it was because I was pulling my hair back in a ponytail. Nothing such as a deep conditioner or other solutions was offered. IMHO, these two issues were an invitation to leave the salon and so I did. And, to think I tipped twenty percent. read more

Save your money! I have been a long time client of this salon, and will not be returning. The owner has let the salon become filthy. Clearly, she is more concerned with making a profit and has begun using cheap product lines. Bottom line, this salon is low class. Don't be fooled by the high prices. read more
