I am used to my appointments being 15-20 minutes long because they pride themselves on quick service. My boyfriend and I share a car and we had to go pick up his kids from school before my appointment and then I told them to just wait in the car because my appointment would only be 15 minutes. Easy peasy. Kids wouldn't get antsy or fight and we'd be home by 4:30 (my appointment was at 4). The morning of my appointment I got a call that my waxer was out for the day so I would be with someone else. Which is totally fine with me! Until it wasn't. I got to my appointment right on time, then was told I had to wait a few minutes. Which is fine because I usually have to wait about 3-5 minutes. 10 minutes goes by and my waxer finally came out to take me to the back. I've never seen her before at this location so I assumed she was newer, but I know they train well so I wasn't worried. Finally she starts my wax and it's all going well and she's chatting with me and making me feel comfortable, she is pulling my skin taught so it doesn't hurt and it's going really well! Then she kept going over the same spot, over and over again. Which I know is because she wanted to get all the hairs out, but I felt it getting later and later and I knew my boyfriend and his kids were waiting in the car and I just knew that they were getting antsy. Anyways, she did a great job, but I checked my phone at the end and it was 4:50!!! 4:50?! 40 minutes to do a Brazilian. I'm fine with having a new person, but I would've love to know she was going to take that long for my appointment! That was ridiculous!! And no one even seemed to apologize about it. When I finally was at checkout, I didn't even want to schedule again because 1. I didn't know if I'd want to come back to this location, even though it's the closest to my house and 2. I was now in a rush because my appointment was 35 minutes over what I thought it would be. We had someplace to be and now we were really late for it. I'm really disappointed in my service this past experience. Warn your customers if it's a newer waxer and if they take longer so they can plan better. You are in customer service after all! I won't be back at this location. Be better Mill Plain EWC.

My wife has been going there for about a year and…read morehad a terrible experience a week ago and was too distraught to post the review so I asked her to calmly explain what happened. She arrived and was instructed to sign in. She filled out her name and started to answer other questions such as email and birthdate. It was not an IPad and the keyboard was different than she was used to. She got frustrated trying to backspace and correct spelling. Knowing that she had used the salon just three weeks prior she didn't feel they needed all that info to be repeated so she gave up and sat down. A man she had never seen before approached her with the tablet and pointed out nicely that the info was not completed. She stated that the salon had the info from her appointment three weeks ago and she didn't need to repeat all the information again. He stated that she did indeed need to fill it all out. She stated that it wasn't necessary as it was in their system. He said she HAD to fill it out. She was frustrated with his attitude and stated that she could just use another salon. He became angry and told her to "please leave". She was taken aback and stated that she had an appointment. He restated that she was to "please leave. Just leave please! Go! Leave please." Her hair stylist started to approach her so she told her she was being kicked out. She asked why and my wife told her she didn't fill out the information. At this point the the man is continuing to point and repeat in a raised voice. "Please leave! Please leave." The number of times he stated "leave please" was shocking. She turned to go and stated that he was rude and she left the salon. This all happened in front of the hair stylists and all the clients. She was stunned and couldn't believe she had just been kicked out of the hair salon by a man she'd never seen before. She was also shocked that her hair stylist did not contact her to reschedule (though she would not have done that anyway) or to check on her after being yelled at and disrespected. Apparently there was no concern for well being following such a publicly escalated incident
