Updating my review before the year's end! I obviously opted to return after my negative experience over the summer, and ever since that visit, the staff behind the front desk have been nothing but attentive, professional and kind. Alecjia is still the best of the best when it comes to nails, and always goes above and beyond. I have a very physical job, plus I am in the gym multiple times a week, and I have had my nails chip maybe twice in the last year between my bi-weekly appointments. When she has been booked, I've also had the pleasure of having Galina do my nails as well. Both women have their own unique touch to their services, but I've been happy with the outcome each time. Super long overdue review as I've been coming to this salon for a few years now. This salon was previously called Zaza Salon, and now renamed to Salon Bennett. This salon offers many other services, from hair color, cutting, facials, massages, and more. I generally come in for just coloring and for my hair cuts. I love coming to get my hair colored. I've had Christy work on my coloring, and have gotten highlights/balayage. I am guilty of waiting far too long between sessions to get my hair done but every time I come in I feel like a new woman. There's also something about come out of getting your hair colors with no more gray lights, and shiny hair that just feels like an extra sparkle. My most recent time, I visited and was schedule for my hair cut with Izzy. She was a delight, she made me feel right at home. Talking me through my hair thickness and now to style it in a way that it will grow out healthy again. The check out process was super easy as well, we check out at the front and they adjust the type of services you had, and you pay and go about your day. Keep in mind that tipping is strictly cash, and you put it in an envelope fro your stylist. read more

Check pricing My hair is short /pixy. I have to allow my hair to grow for at least 8-12 weeks prior to getting color. 1. Scheduled appt for full highlights. Hair colorist doing my hair had me down for single process - her appt after me cancelled so she still took me 2. Showed picture of hair color I wanted from pictures of myself with that very hair color - golden blond highlights and very light brown lowlights. 3. Did not do full highlights and instead did partial and added a dark base coat. My hairs was dark and very little Notice of the highlights she put in. 4. Went to pay and it was 225.00 which put a knot in my stomach and chest. Have never been charged this much. plus I left a 40.00 tip. - stupid me. Yes... I could have check their website prior. But who would have expected 225.00? After all this was not my first rodeo. 5. Went home and husband did not see any difference. I looked at back of head in mirror and there were huge gaps in color. Missing areas. 6. Called and talked to manager who asked me come back in and allow them to fix it, which I did. 7. I came back in and the hair colorist said that she did not give me a full head of highlights because she didn't have time. I would have assume that they would've charged me differently/ less? 8. This is the worst hair color I have received in my 40 years of having my hair colored. Now having to wait to get hair cut and another 8-12 weeks before I can have this fixed. Julia did an amazing job with my Nano Brows. I had old tatoo'd brows that had faded and she explained how the Nano Brow process would be the best remedy for permanent eyebrows. She is a perfectionist and has a very sweet personality. I highly recommend her. I also love my new brows!! read more

Dimitri was super knowledgeable and did a great job on my hair! Usually stylists give me a hard time because I don't cut my hair often (it had been almost 2 years at the time of my appointment) but Dimitri was perfectly kind and lovely to me about it. I feel he really took my hair concerns and questions into account and gave me a style that is actually manageable for me. I almost never repeat return to hair salons, but I would, and will definitely come back to Zaza. Oh, forgot to add cleanliness measures for COVID. If anyone is concerned about going- don't be. The salon is impeccably clean. There are hand sanitizing stations everywhere along with regular soap and sinks. All of the staff are masked, as are the clients. They do a quick forehead temperature when you come in- it isn't invasive or anything, it's just a scanner- it doesn't touch your skin. read more

I have been a loyal client for years. Since new ownership the salon has definitely gone downhill. I was in last week front desk did not acknowledge me when I walked in. The tall lady at the front was eating at that. The owner is very arrogant and has zero customer service. I had the tall one check me out after my service she was very rude and snotty. The place is absolutely beautiful and the variety of products they have is unlike any other salon I've been. Sadly, my pedicure experience on 03/30/2018 was pretty bad. Each one of my toe nails have a different shape, some are round some square and some even have a diamond shape! But this is nothing compared to the discomfort I experienced when my pedicurist decided to scrub my foot so much I end up looking like this (see the attached picture). It's not the end of the world, but my foot hurts when I wear shoes and it's just something I wish I didn't have to deal with. I am sure that this does not apply to every mani/pedicurist at Zaza but I think it's important to point out that this happened. read more

My best friend recommended Zaza after she received a Brazilian blowout treatment and I decided to try it out. The salon itself is gorgeous and very welcoming with all the products organized as dividers for the different stations. I came in for a haircut, something completely different than what I am used to and Dimitri gave me just that! A short, edgy look that I had never thought I could pull off with my thin hair but he convinced me I can. He went above and beyond with taking me step-by-step in caring for my hair and styling it. Rosi's got you covered with state of the art 2019 intuition to insure that while you're being tended to--your belongings are being valued too. If that doesn't tickle your fancy then check in with Lupe. If you don't already know, she's a sweet soul from head to toe to ensure that if you're not already ecstatic when you arrive, then you shall be while you stay only to be angelic by the time you check out. Haley--the red head. Love that woman. Always killed it booking my appointments and was always so helpful with any info desirable. She's definitely warm hearted and whenever she works I swear when I walk in the salon mid-winter it's as if she like has a secret space-heater by her side at all times or something. It's nuts. The lotion is splendid, the service phenomenal, the cologne unforgettable and the results irreplaceable. And that's just when you show up. What happens beyond the front desk is something only adequate funds can describe. No amount of stars nor no flawlessly-chosen adjective from a linguistic vantage-point can truly convey the service provided. That can only be experienced for a beyond-reasonable expense. Where you sacrifice an expense for an experience, only to realize post check-out that your once-anticipated sacrifice will only and undoubtably remain as the best investment you ever made. I came to Zaza for a color and cut and I couldn't be more delighted with the results! My hair is super fine but curly, and previous processing had left it super damaged and straw-like. I was worried color wouldn't take well, since I had dyed my own hair for years and then gotten it fried at a different salon a few months ago - but Elizabeth handled it perfectly and it turned out even better than I expected! I asked her to color it so I could grow out my natural hair, and the color and highlights she did turned out beautiful. Geraldine cut and styled my hair - and she was so personable, kind, and helpful; I've never had a stylist actually listen to me so well before. She was patient with me when I wasn't sure exactly how much I wanted cut, walked me through the products and techniques she used, and managed to get a surprising amount of volume into my thin hair! I booked a Groupon single color service which is $33. The girl did ok job. I'm not complaining her service but she added $10 on her service I think it's pretty tricky. Then they asked me to blow dry myself Which I think it's pretty funny. Then I asked if they can blow dry for me. This point partial my fault coz I assumed it's cost $30-40. Of course again tricky they charged me $60 for that. And they didn't tell me it's cash tips only when I booked the appointment. At the end, I was told to go to Bank of America withdraw some money. And one of the reception girl( a little bit fluffy )told me "go get the cash and it happens all the time!" I was kind of shocked that no reviewers say anything about it. I'm not complaining. Wow, it's been a while since I last Yelped - I guess I've been such a brokeass lately I really haven't gone anywhere or done anything worth talking about. But yesterday I decided to treat my poor wretched hands (cracked and drying from excessive Purell use to deter the swine flu) to a "nice" manicure. I needed to really take care of my nails AND hands so I popped on over Zaza for my first visit. Used to pass by this place all the time on my way home from work and it looked super nice from the outside. I checked out their web site and discovered their prices were a bit on the high side, especially since I'm used to paying $30 for a mani/pedi. They do offer a PLETHORA (yes, I just used the word plethora, got a problem?) of services including threading, spray tan, and new chocolate or wine "treatments". I called around 5:30 and got a 6:30 appointment (bonus for booking me so late!). I got there early so the extremely cheerful and sweet receptionist showed to where I could wait and get something to drink. Not only did they have a proper water cooler but they also provided cranberry juice and an automatic coffee machine that provided coffee, cafe latte, cappucino, and espresso. By the time I left I was so wired on cafe latte I could hardly sleep. They even had real mugs for the coffe, not just paper cups. My nail tech was Lana, a kind and knowledgable Ukranian woman. She did an EXCELLENT job and spoke to me about what she was doing while she did it. She was telling me about why she used a certain top coat, what I should do to keep them looking fresh, and gave me some tips on how to take better care of my cuticles (I told you my hands were wretched). She was thorough and clean. I should mention that they provide you with a complimentary manicure kit (nail file, buffer, cuticle pusher, and nail brush). They said next time I come back I should bring it with me - how hygenic! The salon itself is very nice. They told me that this place is meant to be like a downtown "city" salon, but in the suburbs. That would explain the high prices...but overall it's a good value. I did notice that haircuts were $55, which is $10 more than I pay at my hair salon (see my review for O Salon). Regardless, this is a really nice place. There was a group that came in as I was finishing up and I noticed that they were being served wine so Zaza's must be able to accomodate private parties and alcohol. Good thing to know. They sell Dermalogica products as wel as a line of all natural hair care items from Italy. Up fron they also have substantial section of accessories and jewelry at decent prices. read more

I'm very impressed with ZaZa so far! I've only been there twice, but both times were great! I was chillin on a Sunday morning when I realized I desperately needed to get a haircut, and would like to get highlights after several years of being one color. I happened upon ZaZa after doing Internet searches for a Salon that's open on Sundays. On their website, I'd found a coupon for 20% off for 1st time customers. I was thrilled! Not only were they open on Sunday, but I got a NICE discount. Both visits I was greeted immediately upon entering. I was offered something to drink, and asked to sit in a nice little waiting area. My first impression was great! The store itself is very clean and comfortable and up to date. Autumn was my colorist, she's very young but seems to really know what she's doing. You know how people either know what they're doing or they don't - and Autumn does. She was very versed on all things color. I totally appreciated her knowledge and suggestions. My first cut - I don't recall the lady's name. The cut came out really nice - but WAY shorter than what I'd asked for. I don't think cutting hair came natural for her, she seemed to really have to work at it. Ultimately, the cut came out great - but she's not the stylist I'll go back to. I prefer an air of confidence. My 2nd cut - I ended up with Viktoria. She did a fabulous job. Cutting hair DOES seem to come natural to her. She was fast and very good. This place is nice, but NOT stuffy. That's my one annoyance with Salons is that some of them can seem pretentious. This place is very nice, but without the pretentiousness. I'm very happy so far. They offer you coupons to take to share with family/friends. If someone you refer goes with the 20% coupon, you will also get a discount next time you go. They sell quality products but don't PUSH them on you. They also have a full service nail salon, waxing services, massages, etc... but i haven't used that stuff. I've certainly browsed through the OPI nail polishes to buy, though :) Overall I would totally recommend this place! read more

I used to enjoy coming here, but I think things have gotten worse. Today I came in for an express pedicure and the customer service upfront is horrible!! They don't offer you a drink or take your coat. Or start the water for your pedicure. No smiles. When I went back for my pedicure the music was too loud!! I couldn't relax. I only come to Galina because I like seeing her and I think she does a good job. I drive 15 miles. I used to live closer. Galina doesn't need to change, as it's the need that management needs to be more involved in customer service and training for the front desk and greeting your customers. read more
