I came here with my mom and sister over Christmas to have a girl's days by getting a pedicure. Everyone at the place was so nice and we were offered wine as soon as we sat down. The water felt great and the whole ambiance was so relaxing. I picked out a pretty ruby red polish that had red sparkles. Ruby slipper vibes! The girl who did my pedicure was very good and thorough. Started going here when Lisa first moved away from Studio 21 and into the little Salon Bliss in the strip mall. After expanding to an outer building, things were awful. First, one of the girls cut my hair at an angle which is not what I wanted. Second, the other stylists I went to in order to fix it were not better. Between over bleaching my hair and sending me home with wet hair because she was overbooked, I would not recommend this place. Overly priced salon that has too many stylist and services jam packed into its facility. I simply needed a touch up from my prior color and no cut. The stylist said she'd have to do highlights throughout my hair. She did the highlights first, then color then toner. I've never spent three hours for such a process as my hair is shoulder length. At the end she turned the chair around so I could see the results and they were extremely lighter than I wanted. I specifically said I wanted my roots to remain dark and even showed her a pic of what I wanted which was extremely similar to what I had. She said she did my hair "a little lighter because we're coming into summer and we can go darker in the fall." Ummmm I don't care what season it is, I specifically said I wanted to keep my hair dark as it was and I was not listened to nor consulted about it prior to her coloring my hair. Although the color was executed nicely, it was not what I asked for nor was I consulted about having it go a different way. I have been having my hair done for many many years. I have several chemical services done and I don't mind paying for these services and understand that they can be expensive. I also believe you get what you pay for. APPARENTLY that is not the case at SALON BLISS. I went in with the intention of having my roots touched up, partial foils and have my bangs trimmed. The stylist, Tori, recommended we should do full foils, which I agreed to. I paid $100 for highlights. I was also charged another fee for "cold process" and then another approximately $55 for "cut and style." I don't know why trimming my bangs was considered a cut, or why light blow drying because it's cold outside is considered styling, but in the end, it was a week before Christmas, I went to Salon Bliss because I could not get in with my usual stylist and my hair looked horrible. I waited almost a week before I called because I was angry and needed a cooling off period. I called and spoke to a manager. The problems were 1) I had dark roots, which should have I've never had the week following a hair appointment, 2) I did not have a cut and style. The manager argued that it was "outgrowth" and that for sure my hair was trimmed, and they could go back and look at videos because it's all on tape. I don't care, look at all the tape you want, my hair was NOT TRIMMED. NEITHER WAS I EVER INFORMED THAT I WAS BEING RECORDED. Her answer was to offer me a $50 salon credit. I DECLINED SINCE I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. IT IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO NOT USE THIS SALON. SERVICE WAS BAD, CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS WORSE. I've had some nice haircuts at Salon Bliss, but I've also had quite a few mediocre cuts relative to the price point. The first time I visited Salon Bliss, the front desk staff condescendingly informed me that the Salon didn't allow tips on a credit card. If that's the salon policy, no big deal, but tell your customers at the time the appointment is booked so that they can come prepared -- then the front desk staff won't risk smudging their mascara with all of that mean girl eye rolling. The complete lack of customer service and friendliness at the front desk has plagued every visit (10+) since my first, and I'd prefer to send my hard-earned income on a salon that puts the customer first. read more

Do not waste your money. They are always very "busy" so the master stylist could not see me at first. I was passed to a regular stilist. Not only did she not get my color right, but when I told her it does not look right, she blamed my hair. She had to do it again, prompted by the master stylist, and the color ended up being ok, but she kept snagging and pulling hairs from my head, hit me with the hair brush multiple times, disregarded my request to face the mirror, kept pulling with a bad hairbrush even though it hurt. I spent 5 hours in there instead of 3 as they promised. I go home, put on my white headphones, go about my day, take headphones off and they are colored with hair dye because it was not removed properly. I call them to tell them because at that point I was upset.. after talking to multiple people over the course of a few days and the better of 3 hours of phone calls, them promising they will do something for it( even though I did not ask for anything, they kept saying "let's see what we can do"), they did nothing. No discount, just a major waste of my time. I have decided to go there again, to the master stylist this time, because I believe in second chances. Experience was great, enjoyed myself, had a great massage from a really nice lady named Alma I believe, Dawn did her thing, it looked great in their mirror. I come home, see something strange, get closer and I can clearly see the grown roots since they did my hair last time AND THE WHITE HAIRS they promised to cover. I got very disappointed. Ok, mistakes happen, I call, explain what happened, and I ask if they could fix it or refund the amount I paid. They get back in touch after I called a second time, and they say they decided to refund me PART of the money because they feel like they cannot make me happy. So instead of just fixing that they messed up, they decided to "part ways" because they cannot make me happy. I am a very nice person, gave them the chance to fix it, and their disrespect said no, whatever, go somewhere else. I do feel sorry, I wanted to make this my go to salon, everyone seems so lovely, and yes, mistakes happen, but like this? And then, instead of saying "let's fix it" so they can see with their own eyes that it was wrong they decided to say "bye". After months of social distancing, I needed a hair cut. I wanted to go to a locally owned business and Salon Bliss was able to fit me in the same day that I called. Everyone had a mask on and they checked my temperature at the door. I really loved the shampoo station, with its reclining chair. My stylist gave me a great scalp massage. I usually get my hair cut at Hair Cuttery, so I wasn't expecting to have my hair styled while being blown dry. A curling iron was involved and a LOT of hairspray. I wish that I'd been consulted on that because it was a hot day and I had errands to run. By the time I caught on to what was happening I didn't feel comfortable asking the stylist to stop, she was a very nice lady. Regardless my hair turned out fine. I was very happy to have my dead ends removed and feel a little more human in the strange world we're currently in. It's crazy to me that this salon prides itself on treating its customers the way that they should be treated. My kids and I booked an appointment for my wife to get her hair styled, colored, etc. for her birthday. It was what she wanted to do most, so we made sure to make it happen. The resulting appointment was a complete disaster, and it sent my wife back home in tears due to not only the lack of respect for her time, but the unprofessional nature of the stylist and the woeful job that was done with her hair. Uneven coloring throughout her hair? Check Damage done due to overheating of her hair? Check Brassiness in her hair instead of blonde? You betcha Personal life drama interfering with the stylist's work? Absolutely Inability to correct the issues caused by an unprofessional/inexperienced stylist? Yep And the kicker, a complete and utter avoidance by management (Judy as manager, Lisa as the owner - who by her own staff's admission is very rarely present) to address the issue, and lies from the staff on their behalf - 10000% Now, the good news is that my wife's regular stylist is going to fix all of these issues over the course of 3-4 hours at the rate of $100/hour due to all of the damage caused by Salon "Missed". The bad news is that we now get to pay $100/hour for a re-do of an appointment after spending $300+ at this place only to get treated like trash both in the product delivered and the lack of professionalism and customer service. Judging by other reviews of this place, our experience seems more like the norm than the exception, and knowing how important (and personal) my wife's hair is to her, I can only imagine many other women feel the same way about theirs and I hope that our experience can persuade them to go to another stylist instead of this tragic excuse for a salon. read more

Asked for golden blonde highlights and as you can tell by the photos - the hair looks white-blonde with hot brassy roots that were done in a very random fashion. This was done by a senior stylist that's been at Salon Bliss for many many years. I called and left a message that I was very unhappy with my hair, it took 12 days for someone to call me back. Meanwhile, I went to another salon, where they blended, toned and corrected the best they could for now. CostCutters would've done a better job that Salon Bliss did! Recently went in for an express pedicure and was still waiting for the nail technician 20 minutes later. Apparently the person was doing a blowout. Never had this happen before and I'm really disappointed in the service. When I went to leave I was going to tell the front desk that I couldn't wait any longer and there was nobody at the front desk. If a patron is required to Be there at a certain time for a service I think the person providing the service should be no later than five minutes. Not sure I'm going to return. read more

In short: I first had a bad experience with Salon Bliss, but Maggie the stylist singlehandedly turned it around. Long version: The first time I went to Salon Bliss, my stylist (not Maggie) didn't see my hair before it was washed so she didn't know what my natural hair looked like (BIG no-no). I got a very rushed cut that resulted in choppy, uneven, and sloppy-looking layers. I was not happy, but I was terrified to call back and ask them to fix it. I am so glad I called back and got an appointment to get it fixed with Maggie. Maggie was AMAZING. I am honored to share a name with her. She was patient and worked so carefully and meticulously on my hair to get it just how I liked it. She listened to exactly what I wanted and checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was happy. I felt valued and like more than just a means to make money (which is how I felt the first time). Maggie skillfully cut and styled my thick, long, wavy hair. I have a lot of hair which takes a lot of time to cut, but Maggie never seemed rushed. She was amazing! read more

Where do I begin? I came here with a clear image and picture of proof of what I wanted my hair to be. Came in for the consultation and everything. Hair stylist and I were both on the same page as to what kind of balayage and look I wanted. Promised me the color and said "yeah no worries about that!" Well that all came to an end. I walked out of the salon crying because my hard worked on virgin hair, became destroyed. The "blend" and color were nothing of what I had asked for. The stylist blames my dark hair suddenly for it not lifting? And that the level 7 color still looks cute when I was expecting a light ashy blonde... Clearly not understanding that I'm upset. I truly have never been so upset and hurt about my hair. Especially when it came to my virgin hair. I came home and asked my boyfriend to take pictures in natural lighting and it was a nightmare I never thought would happen to me.. I'm torn with what rating to give because the experience was great. The people at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful and it's a wonderful and fancy (treat yo self kind of way) environment. However...I came in for a wax and I'm not super satisfied with the results...It was my first wax so I did a lot of research beforehand on what to expect.... The friendly lady (I won't name names because I'd hate for her to get in trouble..) didn't test the temperature of the wax on my skin beforehand, which I heard from other people is a big no-no. It was a little warm but not too much so I didn't bother complaining. However, once I was finished, she left some of the wax on my skin! It was super uncomfortable especially as I had to run errands right after. It was a sloppy job, and she didn't even get all the hair she was supposed to. It's a very clean and nice place, just the waxing job was sloppy and left me feeling uncomfortable. I can't decide if I'll go back...it was $35 +tip for most of the hair to be removed...I don't know if that's worth it. read more

I got a shellac manicure on Thursday, November 30 before vacation. It started to chip 5 days later and on Wednesday, December 6 I called because two of my nails were completely peeled of their polish. Since I'm on vacation and couldn't come back in right away, they told me they couldn't do anything for me since the next day makes 7 days since I had the manicure. It was a lot of money to spend on something that peeled off. (More than $90 dollars) It's not like I'm going to fly home from my vacation early to have them fix it. Nothing else was offered. I am furious. I've had long gel overlay nails for years. I had to get them cut down in record time for a new job. I called around the morning of to find a salon with an available appointment to accommodate me asap that day. Bliss first said they could not, then said they could. DO NOT GO THERE FOR THE USUAL NAIL TECH SERVICES! The second I sat down and they said they didn't use a dremel to remove the old gel, I should have known the mess this was going to be. The time factor apparently forgotten., i.e. second day on new job and I could NOT be late?! The girl was a manicurist, but hair was her trade. SHE doesn't do fills! By they time my gel was soaked off and scraped down my nails were paper thin and butchered. Then she went to put the clear polish on BEFORE reapplying the gel powder! Obviously there was a miscommunication at the time of the phone call! Time was running out! So I said I could maybe come back for a REAL tech to finish this properly the next day, (she said they had a couple qualified techs that could do it), but I was seriously concerned my nails would be damaged and broken by then. One of the salon ladies said the gel polish would harden and that would not happen. Well?? I am writing this early the next day, as I have 3 broken and seriously chipped nails, and one I had warned the manicurist had a split down the center and had for years? is now split! My nails look like crap, and they were beautiful when I got there! I just needed a GEL FILL and a trim. I think the worst was the icing on the cake. NO OFFER was made to discount the mess they made and I was charged full price. I tipped the girl because it wasn't her fault the work order was totally screwed up. I lost $60.00, and its going to cost me another $60.00 to get these put right, if not more because now it will be considered a NEW SET. I've been out of work for many weeks due to illness. (NOT COVID!) I really could not afford to have my nails redone for the job but I had to. NOW at $120.00 out, I'm already out far more than I intended to spend BEFORE my first paycheck! Bottom line??? Be sure you are CLEAR in what you NEED and EXPECT when experimenting with new companies, especially personal services. It will take months to get back what I lost in my nails in just 2 hours. The money and time lost is inexcusable. As a business owner I would have taken responsibility and not charged me AT ALL until he brought me back in to fix what they broke. They completely disrespected and in my opinion discriminated against my spouse, got the requested color completely wrong, left nearly HALF AN INCH of uncolored roots and I ended up having to fix both the cut and the color at home. So basically we wasted about $200 to learn that this place has garbage service, then another $30 to fix their mistakes. When we tried working with management to resolve the issue their response was to come spend more to get "closer"to what was wanted and to blame old hair dye on how the color turned out. Found an article where they didn't bother paying one of their employees their last paycheck so if they can't even play nice in house I shouldn't have expected them to play nice with customers either. I explained that I was sorry for the late notice, but was having car trouble. Her response was "Fine, but so you know, we require 24 hour notice for cancellation". This was my first time at this salon and it will definitely be my last! I went in to get a balayage...keep in mind my hair is dark brown and I told the stylist (Lizett) I wanted different tones of Browns. I showed her some pics I had and she said she was able to do it. As soon as she was done styling my hair she took some pics with my phone to show me how it looked...and I liked it. The next day when I washed my hair and it dried it looked orange in some parts. Even a couple of people told me it looked orange and to go back to whoever had done my hair to get it toned. So I contacted Lizett on messenger told her my hair looked orange and I asked her what she could do to fix it. She told me that she thought I wanted warmer tones... Warner tones not orange! She proceeded to try to charge me an extra $15 after keep in mind I paid $160 total! I called the salon to complain about this whole situation and they said they were going to talk to the manager and talk to Lizett to fit me in to get my hair fixed...this was Monday early morning...it is now Wednesday and still no call back. I called them today and now the manager was busy and they said they would call me back today and still no call back! I can't believe they're willing to loose a customer over a toner!
