First off, I absolutely can't stand trying to find a hair stylist. I haven't had anyone I even like or trust since moving back to AZ over 20 years ago. That is, until now. Jordan is absolutely AMAZING! I had to break down and find a stylist before our youngest daughter's wedding this year. So - I asked my other daughter who she used, because her hair was absolutely beautiful after she had it done. Jordan was absolutely in tune to my fear of being "stereotyped" as an elderly woman (yeah, right - elderly at 65?!) and given the traditional old lady style(s). She did absolute wonders with my hair! I had a okay experience, it was neither amazing nor horrible. Just in the middle. Very small salon I felt like I was packed in like a Sardine. I asked for a root touch up due to some Grey's I had and wanted to make myself feel better by getting them done. My stylist said that she didn't even notice it until I said something, but that's not the point. I asked for a root touch up but didn't get it. The biggest thing that didn't make me feel great was that usually you cut hair before you dye it. It costs more for the dye depending on how much hair you have and how much you are going to use. I wanted to go shorter with my hair and my hair was pretty long when I walked it probably almost to my lower back that's how long my hair was. She started doing my highlights before even cutting it? So you wasted all that dye just to cut it all off and charge me? So how does that make sense? All in all I was content for the price I paid and the results I got. 3/5 read more

If you visit the salon, make SURE you ask for Kelley Fishel! She is absolutely the BEST stylist I've ever had! I have been to her several times, for all over color and cuts, and I always leave feeling like my hair could win a contest! I have difficult hair too; it's wavy and super thick but somehow she works her magic and makes it look amazing! She is also very sweet and easy to talk to. She made me feel welcome and comfortable from the first day I walked in. Kelley ROCKS and I'm definitely a life long client for sure!!! Rochelle, the shop owner, however has some issues with being professional. She talks down to her stylists and made me feel uncomfortable when she's spoken to Kelley. She really has no idea how to run a successful business and from what I've read here, has no business being a stylist either! Oh well. Absolute perfection!!!! Nobody in this world does a better job than Nicole. It's like she knows what's in your head about what you want. I'm not sure how she has fixed the disaster of what I did to my hair when the salons were all closed and I panicked and chopped at it. Normally a person would have to do their time and suffer, she made my hair look like I never attempted my own cut. She is a master. The worse experience I have ever had at a hair salon. I waited almost a month for an appointment for a Deva cut appointment. Then I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time before I was even seen. ( nobody apologized for this wait) Then I was informed ( not very politely either) that I was supposed to have come in with my hair curly as possible. Nobody gave me this important information when I made my "Deva cut" appointment! Then (Nicole) told me she didn't think my hair was curly enough! I think I know my own hair. The only reason I sought out a place that does this special cut is because my niece had this cut and her hair not as curly as mine. She absolutely loved the cut. Unfortunately she lives in another city, so I couldn't not go to her salon. I was prepared to pay in excess of $100 and be there for over 1 hour. I went to Salon Blissful based off the great yelp reviews when I was temporarily living in Mesa. I got a fantastic haircut by Ashlan. I normally am not hard to please and just ask for a natural looking all over color and cut with layers. Ashlan gave me the best haircut I possibly have ever had. I want to go back to Mesa just for the cut. My hair does not naturally dry straight, it has some curl but not a lot and often looks frizzy unless I straighten it. Ashlan cut my hair in a way that looks great no matter what I do to it, straightened or natural. The color was great too! Today I tried Salon Blissful because my normal stylist was not answering her phone and didn't get back to me until 430pm when I had called at 1030am. I got in right at 11 even though there were still a few more openings throughout the afternoon. This salon has only been open just over a year, so they are still building their customer base (so get in now!) The Royal Poochie was sold to another owner just 2 weeks ago so they are now seperate entities. They only use Paul Mitchell brand shampoos and colors which is great! It is very spacious and cute. Definitely easy to find right off power and university...its nice to finally have a cute salon out East Mesa that isn't overpriced or under quality. I had Kacie! She was great! Easy to talk to (about hair and life in general) and explain what I wanted! I love my hair..she even gave me a few inexpensive tips to keep it healthier! Definitely see her and tell her Sharon H sent u (that would def be helpful!) Anyways, overall experience there was superb and I will definitely be coming back as a regular! I had an amazing stylist in California, but too bad I couldn't bring her with me to Arizona. I found Salon Blissful online. I checked out a few other places but this salon stood out to me. Everyone was very nice and professional. The girl who did my hair was super sweet. I could definitely have her as a friend, but never again will she touch my hair. I wanted her to touch up my color, but the girl ended up putting red 'shots' in it. She didn't know how to blow dry my hair. She actually made it frizzy and then followed by putting frizz serum in it. She said that it would make my hair shiny. I knew damn well it didn't, but I was embarrassed for her so I didn't say anything. Then she flat ironed my hair, but not well enough because I ended up finishing it while she rung me up. The lighting in the salon was so poor that she took me outside to look at my hair..... The end result.... My hair looked like it was on it's period. Pricing wasn't bad, but the quality of the work sucked. What that girl didn't know is that I'm a student at the Paul Mitchell Hair School. I get my haircut by Lindsay Schuman! I moved 45 miles away just a few months after I first started going to her. And 5 years later I still make that drive every 5 weeks! She's wonderful. We've darkened my hair, lightened my hair, shortened, bleached it and now going silver. I'm letting my grays grow in but Lindsay is doing these magical lowlights so you can barely see the transition. This is a long overdue review for Alex and Salon Blissful. The salon is a great environment to come to be taken care of with friendly staff throughout and a good vibe inside. A really nice extra is their call a day before to confirm your appointment...such a nice touch! They do it all - I'm low maintenance with just a cut (and naturally blonde hair) but I've seen it all from Beverly Hills to the OC. It's an xtremely good value for their services. Book early, they are always busy!...Alex is my go to stylist and she never disappoints! She's got the eye of someone much more seasoned..she listens intently and creates a beautiful, contemporary cut time after time that grows out beautifully - the mark of a good cut. I looked at the website and the stylist bios and decided on Lindsay because it said she could give a perfect blonde. I was incredibly impressed with the salon and Lindsay was amazing! This is the first salon I have tried since my move to Phoenix. Based on the great reviews I figured I would give it a shot. It was easy to get an appointment, I called on Tuesday and they were able to get me in Saturday. The girl who cut my hair was nice, she didn't talk much which surprises me coming from a hair stylist, ha ha. The cut was ok, not the best I've had. Great staff, they definitely do a great job and my girlfriend couldn't be happier with her new hair. I'm a little disappointed that it took 5-6 hours for what should have been 2-3 hours of work but these ladies are paid hourly. In the end we are very satisfied! Went to this salon because it was highly rated. After 3 1/2 hours I came out looking almost the same as I went in for almost $300! My highlights looked like they belonged in 1999. During my haircut they had the front door open and it was windy. The stylist continued to cut my hair even though it was flying all over the place and she was getting hair everywhere. The other stylist said leave the door open it feels nice. HELLO! You are not the one sitting in the wind! I contacted the salon as the charge on my credit card was not correct. The email I got from management says I selected a % tip. I did not giving the stylist almost $70 bucks as a tip! Are you serious?!?!?!?! Management said if I was not happy with the highlight I should have said something the same day. Well since the true color doesn't show up until a few days later I though I'll give it a few days. Went to this salon based on all the great yelp reviews. I came in with a lopsided haircut and was hoping to have it fixed. Unfortunately I walked out with a variation of the same lopsided haircut. It looked great after a nice blow, but it's still uneven and I'm just going to have it cut off as this was the third attempt to even out a bad cut.
