Her work is beautiful and more importantly it grows out great I go two or three times a year and feel I really look my best because of her work. She was extremely educated about curly hair and gave me great advice on how to care for it. She dyed the roots of my hair to match my ends, and the color match was immaculate. I've been to this salon twice so far, I've had my hair cut by Aimee in the past (she was fantastic) but she wasn't available for my most recent appointment so I got a cut from Kim this time around. I showed Kim a couple inspiration photos and she gave me the exact cut I was looking for and then styled it perfectly. I love how it turned out! The salon is large and bright and airy and it was busy both times I've been in, which I think is a good sign. They also sell Amika and Davines products. She is patient and a perfectionist, really taking her time and giving me the tiniest foils. We did a refresh for summer and I absolutely love how it turned out. I was on the search for a new stylist as my old one wasn't able to get the color I wanted and another stylist had cut my hair horribly. Sadly, I was not satisfied with my experience here and will not be coming back nor do I recommend it to anyone else. I had an appointment with Jill and was very excited to finally be blonde (post break up and needed a change from brunette)! I had previous highlights so I did not think it would be too difficult to go blonder. After saying she could not achieve my desired hair goal we settled on a new hair goal. However after 3+ hours and $300+ later I still went home looking quite brunette (pic below). After messaging her asking if she did any free remediations because I was not satisfied she said no. I then asked for a discounted price and she finally agreed to me paying the difference in price (quoting that solid blonde takes 4.5+ hours and is $400+ which I find quite absurd and unusually high costing). I appreciate people who enjoy their craft, strive for excellence, and work hard to ensure customer satisfaction. If this were the case, I would've been a loyal customer to Salon Bordeaux and to Jill for many years. However, I was severely disappointed by the lack of customer service and poor business practices to ensure the customer is happy with the end result (of which they are paying hundreds of dollars for). To my ladies looking for reasonably priced hair services with good business practices and employees that genuinely care about the customers happiness, I recommend Bleach & Brawn Salon. Although it is a bit further from me, I now realize a longer drive is a small price to pay for good results and even better customer service. Besides my unsatisfactory hair services, I did enjoy the ambiance of Salon Bordeaux. Sadly the ambiance alone is not worth the money, poor results, or inadequate business practices.
