Addie did an AMAZING job, better than most haircuts (and I'm always procrastinating and dreading cuts and especially new stylists because with curly hair it can go south pretty quickly) but the way she layered and trimmed it left me looking like I had more hair than what I walked in with. Gracy is an absolute blessing. This salon is right down the street from me, I decided to submit a request and I was matched with Gracy. I cannot express how great my experiences have been. 1st of all, she absolutely slays every haircut, it's like watching literal magic. 2nd of all, her head messages while washing are amazing. The owner offered me an appt however wanted me to remove a review that the phone number was out of service that I called to book an appt . I was happy to do so when she advised me she was traveling and that's why my call could not go thru. Then she cancelled my appt however I have an email from her offering me the appt and the text asking me to remove the review. Yelp forces you to choose a rating so I did so as the phone said it was out of order. I wasn't trying to hurt her business but now I see her business practices are reviews over customers. This is truly a gem of a salon I'm am so happy I found it! When my prior stylist of over 4 years told me she was moving up north, I was devastated at the thought of finding a new salon. Enter Ashley, the owner of Blonden and my stylist :) she is wonderful and so so easy to talk to or just hang out with while in her chair. It's like going to get your hair done by a friend every time! I typically get alternating full and partial hi lights with cut about every 8-9 weeks. She always makes me leave the salon feeling my best. She is easy to get ahold of; super accommodating for booking appointments and I love that she has a mentoring program for newer stylists to be her assistant and then grow to eventually take their own clients. Oh the best part? She is very reasonably priced. The salon itself is easy to get to and parking is simple with a small lot or ample street parking (that is free!!!!!) There is also a super cute coffee/smoothie shop next door where you can order from the chair and they will bring it to you. I decided I needed a change, and wanted to color my hair. I have a medium/light brown hair, and have darkened it in the past but have never lightened it. I decided that I wanted a full set of highlights... I was researching this to find a good colorist. Having never bleached/lightened my hair in the past, I knew I would be more comfortable with someone who knew what they were doing.... I found Ashley on Yelp, and all the reviews seemed to say she usually dealt with blondes, etc etc. That was all I needed so I made an appointment for the following day. I got there 15 minutes early and she was sitting at the entrance when I walked in the door, waiting for me, so that was easy! I immediately liked her, as she was welcoming and bubbly. I sat in the chair and told her I wanted highlights. She asked me a few questions, trying to read me, and decided that I wanted a more drastic change...which I did. Well! An hour later after washing and rinsing my hair, even though it was wet, I could see how light it was! She turned me away from the mirror to blow dry, and when I spun back...well, I was a dark blonde. I LOVE IT. Holy cr*p. Who would have thought? I KNOW the wrong person would have made my hair different shades of blonde, or do huge chunks of blonde, or be brassy, or orange, or...well, ugly. But no. It's perfect! It's even all over, and for some reason it looks like my hair is supposed to be this color. It took me a while to adjust. I couldn't stop giggling at my reflection, it was so different from what I was used to. I love it. I found my new hairdresser. And I might even go lighter next time.... :D read more
