I started using Salon Britton when my previous colorist/hairstylist was closed due to Covid. My previous colorist/hairstylist was excellent, so the bar was set very high as far as my personal expectations. Like with my previous hairstylist, I was very clear with my communication concerning the color and the cut that I wanted, i.e. layers, color shade, highlights, ease of style. I personally believe that being vague with your hairstylist is a recipe for disaster. The owner was attentive and asked a multitude of questions. I am unfamiliar with the hair coloring jargon (levels and such) but place my trust in the expertise of the trained professional. I have returned twice which speaks volumes. She has consistently utilized the initial algorithm of color components for my hair and it has turned out lovely each time. The salon is clean and I truly enjoyed the massage chairs. It added a spa like feel to the experience. I confess that I would typically doze off when left in a reclined chair; but a massage was beyond my expectation and a very pleasant surprise. Even though I am older, I have very long hair. I take care of it and it is healthy. I have not experienced any change in texture or health due to coloring it. Tonya has done all of my family's hair over the years and we love her and her new, beautiful salon space. She has done beautiful balayage highlights for me in the past and is very detailed when cutting my hair to make sure it is all even and perfect. We drive from Bryant to see her because once you find someone who does a great job, it's hard to risk compromising quality for a more convenient location to us. My college son who is SUPER picky about his longer hair won't go anywhere else, even though he lives in Jonesboro now. The owner helped me love my hair again. I had gone years without getting any kind of styled cut, just a cheap mens' buzz at a local barber and more than half the time would do it myself. My wife recommended I stop in and visit (she wasn't subtle about it) so I relented and gave her a try. She not only cut my hair well but we had many good laughs too. If you want your hair done right this is the place to go. It is not a salon that you go in & they throw bleach on your hair and send you on your way. Tonya took her time and went through every section of my hair, the pattern was beautiful. My whole experience here from the music, the customer service, treating my toddler like she was one of their own, massage chairs, and great products. My hair was so damaged and after 2 sessions my hair is already back healthy. I have been to a lot of salons and so far this is the best one. You get what you pay for. read more
