I'd been going to CoCo Bond 2-3 a year for keratin and tried many operators: Kristen, Cole, Rachael. All were fine, even though they each fit in 1-2 other clients during my $250+ treatment. My last visit, I tried Marcie, who was absolutely dreadful. Not only did she rush and leave my bangs sticking up like Alfalfa, she made a few overly inappropriate and familiar comments that left me uneasy. I didn't complain to the owner, but did share the experience with a friend who cancelled a treatment she had scheduled with Marci for the following week. After that, Marci called my home repeatedly and sought me out on social media, which continued for 2 weeks following my appointment. It would have been fine had a salon manager followed-up ONCE about the service, but I don't like that they shared my personal number with the stylist, who then abused it. In addition to the poor service, my keratin was out in under a month. I only use top of the line Sulfate/Paraben Free free products and never had this issue before. Marci also tried pushing me into coloring my hair that day immediately following my treatment. Anyone who's had keratin knows you have to wait 2 before having permanent color. Coco Bond really declined in customer service when they moved to their new location. It's a beautiful salon, but their services don't add up. With so many comparable, if not better, salons in Red Bank, why bother? read more

I've been to Salon Coco Bond a couple times for haircuts and absolutely love it! They're warm and friendly and the salon has such a great atmosphere. When I called to make my first appointment, they set me up with Kristin. After several haircuts with her, I think Kristin is amazing! She listened to what I wanted and gave me some advice about how to care for my hair. Kristin is so skilled and adept at cutting and styling hair. After years of bad haircuts, it's so nice to put my full confidence in someone like Kristin. I highly recommend her. In terms of pricing, I think Salon Coco Bond is a pretty good deal. For a basic haircut with layers and no-blow dry (I prefer to not have my hair blown-out--too time consuming), I pay about $45. I don't get my hair cut with a master stylist, but even the junior stylists there are so skilled that I don't think it's necessary. I think that's a pretty fair price for a haircut at such a nice salon. I've found Salon Coco Bond to be very up-front in terms of their pricing, too. Each time Kristin suggested a new product or styling option, she made sure to tell me exactly how much it would cost. I'v never felt uncomfortable or misled about their pricing policies. If you ask, they'll tell you. In short: Kristin is a superstar, ask for pricing details, and go get yourself a great haircut! read more

Tired of going to a salon where it seems the staff is more interested in socializing with each other then giving you the attention you deserve? Then Salon Coco Bond is the place for you. Upon entering I was greeted by the friendly receptionist, and as a first time customer I was asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding my hair routine and style. Knowing that my stylist would have this information on my likes and dislikes, and keep a running record of what they do with my hair is very comforting. Once I was done completing the form, I was promptly called back by my stylist, Kristin. After discussing what I wanted (a quick clean-up of my hair with a cut) I was brought back for a wash. (The products they used were amazing, and I could not stop smelling my hair for the whole day!) During my haircut Kristin was nothing but professional, as well as all of the staff during my time spent there. I was asked if I wanted water, coffee, or tea; although I declined, it is a nice touch to show the customers that your time there is appreciated, and demonstrates their commitment to the customer. My haircut is great, and although I did not get any other services, I sure plan on it in the future! I look forward to going back to this salon for all of my hair needs. read more

I started going to Salon Coco Bond last winter. I had moved to the area the year before and was in a panic since it would no longer be feasible for me to go to my hairdresser of 16 years up North. Needless to say I was more than just a little nervous about trying a new stylist. Erin (the owner) put my fears to rest immediately. She listened to what I said, and gave me exactly the hair color and style I wanted. As a matter of fact, I receive a consultation every time I go there, which to me is the sign of a professional stylist. Not only is she an amazing stylist and colorist, but her customer service is top notch. From the time you walk in the door you are made to feel special and very comfortable. The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. Speaking of accommodating, even if she is totally booked, Erin always goes out of her way to schedule an appointment when I need one, even staying late if necessary. The decor is elegant, terrific location, and very good prices. Writing a review is not typical of my behavior but my experience was so exemplary that I would use any platform available to advise others. When I parked I saw two women exit and their hair looked like it was straight from the pages of that magazine i was clutching. I suffer from psoriasis which can make me feel self conscious and diminishes my confidence but I can tell you that is not the same feeling i had upon exiting. Katie did not once focus on my condition or make me feel uncomfortable as I have experienced previously. Instead she focused entirely on transforming my hair and delivering an exceptional customer experience. All the ladies I spoke with were also lovely! What a knowledgable and exceptional group. I've been to salons all over and I can tell you that the difference here is that the ladies appear to be passionate about what they do and that shows in the final product. I've been getting my haircut, straightened and colored by Erin for almost 2 years now. I have been thrilled with how my hair looks! I've had 2 Brazilian blow outs, countless color treatments (almost 40, lots of gray) and cute cuts. She's not afraid to try new styles with me to keep my look fresh but she also listens to me when I tell her I can't have something too complicated for my busy life. In sum, Erin is a fantastic stylist and runs a wonderfully warm, luxurious salon. You feel like you're visiting an old friend when you're there. Even better is that Erin is not the only amazing stylist there -- my sister went to Tracy for the first time last week and has been so happy with how she created a new style for her without pushing her too far with a "new" do. Tracy listened closely and made suggestions that were creative without being beyond what made my sister comfortable. My kids, my sister and I all get our hair done at Salon Coco Bond. Erin has given me the cut, color, texture I've always dreamed of! It is far and away the best salon I have ever patronized (and I have been to many many salons in the area). The owner and her staff are friendly, welcoming, and - most of all - skilled stylists. Beyond incredible salon. The waiting room is bustling; it has amazing products and a very friendly front desk. The stylists are, in fact, stylish. They are also engaging, talented, and truly customer focused. The spa and nail stations are incredibly clean, well appointed and relaxing. Their spa staff is talented and attentive. erin and the entire salon coco bond team are wonderful. never have i felt so comfortable in a salon, and their talent is the best i have found in the area. when a process didnt work on my duaghters hair, erin graciously offered to do a different process, and the results were stunning. as for people who complain about pricing - you cant fault a business because you dont want to pay for great services. the price is what it is. you can choose to go and pay, or dont go, but you cant give a bad rating because you think the price is too high. the results are worth it in my book. read more
