My niece and I had setup appointments months ago for this salon to have our hair styled for our nephews wedding. Life Savors! My daughter was spending the summer in Northern Wisconsin and the water was doing a real number on her hair. She had become extremely self conscious about it, as it was stringy, brittle and falling out. The ladies at Salon Fifty Four were Amazing!! They took her in, let her tell them what she was struggling with and got to work getting her hair back in order. Without the slightest hint of judgement. I went in and got my haircut on July 1. I made an appointment to get a balayage color done on July 10, July 24 which was also my birthday I called in because the balayage color did not provide enough blonde. I was not happy with it they said I can come back after scheduling an appointment and get more blonde put in for a price actually a discounted price because I was not happy with the color I called yesterday. The first person that answered couldn't help me so she put someone else on the line who is very snotty, and basically said they weren't going to fix my hair while I was going to pay this was terrible customer service I do not recommend this company or salon to anyone at all. Was recommend this Salon while visiting from out of state. The decor was super cute inside and felt high end but with a more relaxed atmosphere. I and my wedding party came to Salon Fifty Four on 6/15/24 - the morning of my wedding. I thought the breakfast option in the morning was really cool. Sadly, the results were not what we had hoped. For makeup, one of my sister's had to have it redone 3 times and she still left with one of her eye's with an orange ring around it. My other sister's makeup was pretty bad - It was not blended at all and there was a clear demarcation of where her makeup ended and her skin started (we had to completely redo it at our hotel). Also, my makeup had an orange-ish splotch on the right side and I had to ask someone to help with that and again - it was clear my makeup was not blended (maybe it's the lighting in the place?). The hair - this was the most disappointing - It didn't last very long at all - By the time I got from the hair salon to the hotel - I had to have someone redo my curls, my niece's curls, and my sisters. The hair style felt securely in place so that was good but my curls fell out quickly. There was nothing placed or sprayed to hold any of the curls. The pricing was high so I expected much more. I did a trial and did not realize it was not free (that was my mistake). I would not recommend nor use their services again. read more

eyelash extensions, horrible job. Don't recommend if you want your eyelashes to look decent. I live in LA and I needed a refill, instead of the lash tech telling me that she did not have the thickness, length and high volume eyelashes ( mind you it doesn't matter which product of brand it is)I had on she just doubled up her lashes to make them some what thick like my prior lashes and she didn't have the length so I got short clumped up shitty lashes because instead of letting me know this info beforehand or anything she just decided to try to make it work .. you can't glue extra lashes together to make the thickness now it makes my lashes look clumpy as hell and they are way shorter than the ones I had. The eyelashes glue made my eyes burn and water for an hour after she was done I kept telling her there were Spaces she couldn't fix it. I asked her if I can come another day to try to fix them she said she was booked and could not accommodate it. Honestly wouldn't even bother letting her fix them because it is a horrible job. read more

I paid for a haircut and color...she did not color my hair, she used a toner yet charged me the same price as if she dyed it! Just got my haircut fixed at Salon Fifty Four. I went from the worst haircut (from a different salon in a much larger city) to the best haircut I've ever had. Tang gave me an amazing fade. Rossemary is also incredibly talented. I am more picky about haircuts then anything. Try these stylists if you can book an appointment! Not from the area so I was trying o find a salon that would best fit me. After looking at many reviews Salon 54 seemed to be my best option. I called early in the day and was able to get an appointment with Celena (I might be spelling her name wrong). First walking in I was greeted by a young lady very sweet. I met a my stylist. I had a VERY warm blonde. My roots were almost orange! I told Celena I wanted to keep my blonde but dark roots almost like a rooted shadowed blonde. We went over the color swatches and together we chose how dark we wanted to go with the roots (im very particular on staying on the blonde side). She did a color on my root and bayalage on my hair. She achieved exactly what I wanted. I'm very pleased with her work. read more

I love this place! The location downtown is wonderful in a historic building with exposed brick that makes the experience feel more urban. The stylist team is skilled. I have worked with a few different people and always received great results. They keep up to date on trends with training and the newest styles which makes it stand out in the Green Bay market. My most recent experience with Dorey was most unsatisfactory. While she has done a good job with my cut and always listened to and asked questions about how my style was working for me, her casual disregard for my safety and comfort on my last visit was unacceptable. At the shampoo chair, she grabbed a cape that was apparently just out of the dryer. The snaps around the neckline were so hot they burned my skin. When I complained, she changed the cape without apology and did not check to see if the hot snaps had caused any injury. Next, as she was rinsing my hair, water came pouring down my back. Both she and her fellow stylist said it was because I did not sit close enough to the sink, apparently my fault. Again no apology. When she proceeded to finish rinsing my hair, it was with very hot water. After I complained, she adjusted the temperature without apology. I will not be back. read more

Went once. Asked for a balayage and cut. She used a technique that was quite strange and different from all the other balayages I've gotten, but each artist is their own. It turned out awful and patchy, she offered me to come in the next week to fix it for free (after paying $200+). She attempted to fix it, nothing changed. Uneven haircut as well. I went home and cut it myself. I understand all hair can be different, but for the price and hype this salon has, very disappointed. I never went back and I never will. read more

Got my hair done a few months ago. For a cut and dye job, it cost me roughly $250.00, not including tip. It was an odd experience. My consultation went great, and I was excited about my appointment. The day I got there, the entire atmosphere was different. My stylist was very negative, short, and frankly rude. I felt like I was dealing with a completely different person. I felt a little duped as if the consult was a ruse and this was the true nature of the salon. I asked to discuss what I wanted to ensure I got the results I wanted and was treated like my opinion didn't matter. I felt extremely uncomfortable in the total of about 7 hours I was there. I stuck my nose in my phone and felt like crying because I felt so unwelcome. Ultimately, my hair did not come out as I wanted. Or even close. The haircut was ok, but nothing I couldn't have paid about $200 less for and gotten the same thing. The color was horrible, and not like anything I had asked for. I dyed it a few days after I left because I just couldn't come to terms. Money down the drain. Super disappointed and saddened I had to go through this and pay to do it. read more

I went to Salon Fifty-four with long hair that was super healthy. I asked them to do a beach wave perm with olaplex to help my hair stay healthy (olaplex strengthens and helps maintain healthy hair). First off, they said no to the olaplex because they said it didn't pay because I had healthy hair already; I believed them because I figured they must know what they are doing. That was my first mistake. After she rinsed out the perm solution from my hair, and I saw myself in the mirror I realized how fried and gross my hair looked. I was sent home with instructions to use a diffuser to blow-dry my hair. What they failed to instruct me on was that you aren't supposed to wash your hair for 48 hours after getting a perm. Because they failed to inform me of this, I washed my hair when I got home to try styling it to see if I could make it look any better and it was a disaster. To top it all off, the shirt that I wore to the salon is now ruined because the stylist got the perm solution all over my shirt and it took the color out wherever the solution touched. Now I am going to go get a haircut tomorrow to try to cut off my horribly damaged ends. This was by far the worst salon experience I have ever had and I would recommend that nobody else ever get a perm here. read more
