At this place however, Jason took about 15 minutes for the undercut alone, he put a lot of effort into it. I also got my hair coloured and they discussed in much detail with me what colour would receive which result. The place is super new and it's a very open and modern atmosphere and I really liked it. However you should be prepared to pay more than at other places, my haircut (cut, colour, style for short hair) was about $160 plus tip. That being said, you definitely get what you pay for.

I believe Adriana is the one of the lead hair stylists and store owner. She did balayage on me and "cleaned up" my hair cut. After we discussed my preferences, we agreed it would be best for her to simply trim some frayed hair rather than give me a full hair cut. In terms of colour, she did deliver on the "cool ashy blonde" I asked for. I would have preferred for the colour to be lighter, but she did caution me my naturally dark hair may not lift as much (which was the case). When we were almost done and she was styling my hair, she noticed some yellow/unsightly tones at the back of my head that weren't entirely toned. Despite already toning, washing and drying my hair, she stopped to re-tone that section. I thought that was very honest of her to do that. It shows her integrity and care to attention for her work. Overall, satisfied and happy I tried out the salon!

I live in NY so I have a U.S. bank and wasn't able to pay the $20 deposit because I don't have e-Transfer, but I emailed the salon and they said it was no problem and not to worry about it. I was able to use my Visa credit card (they also take Mastercard) to pay. If you do pay the deposit, $20 is deducted from your total. The hair washing station is really relaxing, with lie-flat chairs so your neck doesn't hurt and sparkling lights on the ceiling. I'm so happy with my cut ($80 CAD before tip) and I think I got a great value for the level of service. I highly recommend Sam and this salon, his technique was so meticulous and I love my cut.

Our appointment was for 11 am but at 1030, Amanda text us that Bella was stuck on a GO Bus and wouldn't be able to start until 1130. Normally that's not a big issue, but I was dealing with really tight timelines because of nap times and attention spans, so I couldn't just burn 30 more minutes than expected. I explained this to Amanda, and she said if I could get there soon, she would cut my daughter's hair. The salon opens at 11, but Amanda started with us at 1045. The level of customer service was unreal. Friendly, accommodating, apologetic and I got what I came there for - a sophisticated haircut for my daughter that wasn't just a "who cares you're a kid" cut. The salon is beautiful inside, the sparkling lights about the hair washing station was a nice touch. I was lucky to get an appointment in the same week, I was monitoring the website looking for openings since I was desperate after the long lockdown. When I arrived, I had to text a number and someone came to get me from inside the salon. They were great about physical distancing and covid safety measures with clear dividers between each salon chair and hair washing stations. Droudy was excellent, she was gentle and patient and was able to understand exactly what I wanted even with my less than optimal descriptions. I told her I cut my hair myself and she said she would be able to fix it and clean it all up for me. She also took her time to explain what exactly she was going to do by showing me the back of my hair and explaining what would look best. The whole experience was very therapeutic and exactly what I needed. Even after she blow dried my hair, I asked her to cut the front pieces a bit shorter and she was happy to accommodate. She also asked me if I was ok with all the products she was using which is something no other hair stylist has ever asked before - small touch but I really appreciated it. I will 100% be returning to Civello to see Droudy for all my future hair appointments!!
