Megan is a curly girls dream! I was absolutely lost when it came to my step daughters very curly hair. I tried a few techniques but nothing seemed to work and she isn't with us often so there's not much consistency with her hair care. Megan was so patient and kind. What a great salon! And what a fabulous stylist! I have been struggling with my curly hair for years using keratin, blow outs, and flatirons with not so great results. Luckily I found Megan. She cut my hair dry, (explaining that my hair had previously been cut for straight hair) and then taught me the steps for making my curls work for me. She did an amazing job. This was my first deva cut experience and I have NOTHING but good things to say. Megan did a fantastic job on my hair, I went in, showed her a picture and she made it happen. She took me from a bob to a pixie cut, something I've never done, and it looks amazing. She is super knowledgeable, patient, and an artist with the scissors! Nicole is not only a talented stylist but a lovely person! Nicole and her team prepared me and my bridal party for my recent wedding and they did an amazing job! Everyone loved their hair whether it was an updo, a blowout, or curls for the flower girl! The In Style 33 team is amazing and made my bridal party look fantastic for the big day! Everyone's hair stayed styled for the duration of the wedding and continued to look fabulous for the entire night. In addition to bring a skilled stylist, Nicole is absolutely the sweetest and kindest person I encountered in the wedding process. She has a big heart and really helped me get through the preparation process. I was completely stressed out the morning of my wedding and Nicole was very understanding and helpful. She put my mind at ease and gave me an absolutely exquisite updo despite my indecisiveness about how to wear my hair. I was in Newport in Sept. to attend a wedding. The Hotel Viking called the salon for me late Friday afternoon, they gave me a last minute appointment for Sat. am. I am so happy I choose to go to this salon and meet Berta. She suggested my hair needed a little shaping, too flat in the back, she was right and I was pleased to have her suggestion, I knew it wasn't quite right having had a haircut in NJ 2 weeks before. She was delightful, friendly and did a super job. The trim and the style looked terrific and I found the price to be very reasonable, of course I am used to NJ prices. I would definitely return to this salon and Berta, I highly recommend both. She also told me to go see her husband at Liberty Donuts, which we did on our way home, very good breakfast sandwich, he too was very nice to us. read more

Short version: Talented, knowledgeable and personable stylists. Cozy atmosphere. You walk out the door looking like you slept with a hanger in your mouth because you are so elated with the outcome. Long version: I just moved to the area and was in need of a highlight and cut. Despite my apprehension and fears of a going to a new salon, I trusted the few glowing reviews I read on Yelp. I was honestly a little nervous that although the reviews were wonderful, there weren't that many. I decided to give the five star rated salon a try and I could not have been happier with the outcome. My stylist, Megan, did an absolutely phenomenal job highlighting and cutting my hair. She intently listened to my descriptions and requests. She also acknowledged my concerns I had about my "first time at a new salon" nerves and made me feel completely at ease. She described her styling plan explicitly as to reiterate my requests and make sure we were on the same page. Megan was meticulous and thorough with my hair, while maintaining easygoing conversation that made you feel right at home. When finished, it was EXACTLY what I wanted.
