I've been getting my hair done by Tamera for many years now and I love her! She has rescued me from all the things young girls do to their hair; bleaching it at home, letting their friends cut it, etc. She is the absolute best! One time I couldn't get onto Tamera's books and had Elisha cut my hair. She is also amazing! My hair was so damaged and gross, and now it feels healthy and I can run my fingers through it without grimacing. I've also had spray tans done by multiple girls and if i could remember their names, i would list them. They've always made me feel super comfortable which is hard to do when you're standing naked in front of a stranger while they paint your body with bronzer, lol. I had my hair cut here once and enjoyed it. But when I tried to book my bridal hair and makeup for myself and bridesmaids I waited for 2 weeks for a response and call back because only 1 person can book those appointments, and was told it should be no problem to get booked (it was 3 months out from the wedding). Then I started to call to get the times confirmed and was told the salon is book for the day. It would have been nice to at a minimum get a phone call to let a customer know if you cannot get them in. If booking for events, make sure you call regularly and maybe they can get you in. read more

I can't say enough good things about this salon but more specifically about Ashley Burden. I've been seeing her since 2006 and have never looked back! One of the best referrals ever given to me by another devotee, Ashley has been seeing several of us for years. We're like groupies! Why? Because she's THAT good! Unfortunately, after being a loyal and dedicated fan for 6 years, I moved away and have yet to find someone who can match her calibur, style and eye for fabulous! She's SO great that I still make an effort to schedule an appointment with her any time I'm in Seattle! Every time I come back, I remember how fortunate I was to have her do my hair. I trust her instinct and skill so much that I let her have complete free rein when I see her. She can cut, color and style my hair any which way her heart desires! I know, most people would freak giving someone that much freedom, but Ashley never fails to impress and do me up right! I remember one visit, I was ready to chop all my hair off to donate it to Locks of Love. Ashley was more than happy to oblige and after she styled me up, she was SO confident in my new do, she gave me a bunch of business cards b/c she knew her work was going to be a show stopper. I love the girl, but I thought "Dang, my hair does look awesome but confident much?!" Lone behold, I got asked by 10 people, half of which I didn't know, who did my hair. I passed out about 12 business cards in 1 day! It took me years to convince 2 of my best friends to see her but now, they know the magic of Ashley and they are now regulars. Anyone I've referred has never been disappointed and they also become regulars. Ashley works in the awesomely 'new' chic Salon Ish which was taken over a few years ago by Katelyn Corrado. It's located in main Puyallup which is not considered a very trendy spot, but the girls here have style and know how to glam you up! Before I moved, I previously saw Katelyn a few times for eyelash extensions and she was always amazing too! Great energy, fun, detailed, gentle but more importantly, precise and also great at her job! She's renovated the whole place into a great spa and salon where beautification is the main goal and all the services you might be looking for are in one spot. Prices for the spa are comparable to the area and hair stylists is dependent on the stylist and specific hair services provided. Ashley, of course, is a steal of a deal considering what she does! She never gives the same person the same color or cut-- she always customizes and tailors everything to fit your needs and is always up on the latest trends and changes in hair so you're always with the times! Parking is street and usually very easy to find right out front but ever-so-often you may need to walk a couple of blocks. If I could, I would DEFINITELY transport this place to San Diego. Regardless, I will always see Ashley whenever I visit and I know this place is a rocking spot for the ladies to get fabulous! read more

Customer service is horrible! Used on line system to book appointment, required me to provide my credit card info. The next day I received an email confirming the appt but needed me to call so they could charge my card $100 to reserve the spot. I called the next day: they had no knowledge of my request, it wasn't in the computer, the front desk person was confused on why I was calling. She said I could schedule but I kept saying I had an appointment. Around and around we went. After too much time, I "cancelled" the appt and told her how unbelievably poor I felt the service was. She said she'd have a manager call me and asked for my contact info. At which time I got really frustrated as obviously they had all my details because AGAIN they contacted me back after receiving the appointment booking. Stay away. It's not worth the hassle. read more

I had an appointment set for about 2 weeks and I get a call from the stylist today at 3 pm (5pm appt.) because she needed to set my appointment back an hour, really- an hour? I couldn't do that because I work nights and was going to work after the appointment. I wouldn't be so pissed, but I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks and this has happened before with a different inexperienced stylist. I guess I will go back to SALON 7, where the atmosphere is fun and they have reliable stylists. It's okay that I have to go to Seattle, at least I'll be happy with the service and stylists. Now I'm being offered to call another salon and see if they have an availability. I am extremely disappointed as a single mother, it's not always easy or cheap to find a baby sitter! Stylist Susie cut & colored my hair after I showed her pictures of the outcome I was intisapating. Im extremely dissapointed to end-up with " jet black" hair after specifying that i didnt want black hair. Susie's response was I think it's beautiful, are you sure your just not used to it? I came across this salon because of their boss babes Friday Instagram posts from another business I follow. Ive been going to a different hair dresser for years and she did a horrible cut and balayage last year and I was horrified to wear my hair down and I had to take Christmas card pictures with that horrible hair.. yikes. I decided to get a facial here to test it out before I trusted anyone with my hair. When I was there for my facial (which was amazing by the way), I asked the front desk how could I fix my hair. They brought a stylist out from the back and she sat me in her chair and walked me through everything I needed to do to fix it. I made an appointment with Alicia and now I love my hair! I've been back for a couple cuts and I also get my lashes done by Kaitlyn P and I get sooo many compliments at work about them! This salon is killer! Next up, dermaplaning and a spray tan! Ps, I drive from Renton to Puyallup just for this salon! And they try their hardest to schedule my appointment so I don't have to fight 167 during high traffic hours! read more

Enjoyed this salon. My daughter got a good haircut and highlight and I got a good haircut. I went with people mentioned on here but I don't live in Wa. I was only visiting for a month so I don't remember the two ladies names that we saw. However from what I could tell you can't go wrong with whomever you choose. Just know you can't get in here quickly unless they have a cancellation but they are good about calling you back with cancellations. I gave four stars bc one hairdresser wouldn't schedule me while I stood 3 feet from her at the desk needing one but was instructed she only does them by email. So I requested one by email but by the time she got back w me on her availability and I got back with her confirming it -the same appointments she spoke of were no longer available but it would have been had she taken me when I stood there waiting at the desk. So I never got to go back for the balayage that I wanted before leaving town to return to the south. read more

More props for Ashley (Allen) from Ish. I have been going to her for about 7 years now and she is the ONLY person I completely trust to give me what I want in terms of hair. She's great at haircuts of all lengths, but unlike so many hair stylists, she does NOT shy away/scorn short haired women. In fact, she encourages and welcomes short haircuts. And man, is she good at them! For all my highschool years, I was either given an old man crew cut or an old woman "poof" when I asked for short hair, or in most cases just shunned or asked : "You really want that? But your long hair is soooo beautiful!" When I first came to Ashley, I told her I wanted a cut like P!nk circa 1999, and she was extremely happy to oblige. She cuts my hair fantastically and she's really fun. For super short cuts, I usually pay $30. She's VERY reasonable. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Remember to tip well. read more

This was my first time to this salon. I made an appointment for a mini eyelash fill to repair the bad lash extensions job I had done last night at Lamour Design... Walked in and I loved the setting and atmosphere of salon/spa. The receptionist was really nice. Told her I was early for my appointment and I don't mind waiting. She sat me in the spa area and gave me a questionnaire to fill out about what I wanted out of the eyelash appointment. Michelle, who I was scheduled with, came and talked to me to let me know she did have a client before me. I told her about my experience from the other place. She read and went over my questionnaire and informed me she usually likes to have her first time clients schedule a longer appointment so she can have enough time to examine and see what she will need to fix. Her client didn't show up and she brought me back early. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything she was seeing and what should have been done. She didn't rush and worked her magic for the short time she was given. She explained tips and tricks to keep my lashes to last longer. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and I have found my go to aesthetician for my lashes. read more

I've always received the absolute BEST service at this salon...whether it's for my eyelash extensions or getting my hair done. No complaints here. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I love that they send text messages out before your appointments. Only once was there an error on their part regarding the scheduling, but they were able to correct it in no time when I called. Wonderful customer service. I received my first ever spray tan here today. Due to a little mixup, my tan gal didn't realize I was there for my appointment and ended up starting quite late. When she realized what had happened she fully took care of me. She was warm and professional and did a fantastic job. So impressed with this place! My bridal party and I got our hair and makeup done here and everything went so smooth. Everyone's hair and makeup looked stunning, and each girls individuality really shown through the hair and makeup. We were able to drink champagne while we were there, and all the staff is very fun and welcoming. I personally had Ashley (for hair) and Sheila (makeup), and they both did outstanding jobs. I actually was kind of worried after my trial because I didn't LOVE my hair or makeup, but I knew trials are a lot different than the real day, so I wasn't worried. Hair and makeup ended up looking way better than expected! They really do know what they're doing. The owner (Caitlyn I believe) is extremely upbeat and friendly, and she even stepped in to help with makeup to make sure we stayed on schedule. Last tidbit- my friend/day of helper got a blowout down the street from Salon Ish (because salon Ish was booked up already) and it turned out horrible. She was trying not to cry, but was so disappointed. Ashley came to the rescue and fit her into the schedule right before me and made her hair look amazing. So upset with my recent eyelash extensions. This was my first time getting them done and I had just gotten my hair done at Salon Ish, so I decided to get them done here. The experience was eh.. I filled out some paperwork, that I do believe wasn't even glanced at by the gal doing my extensions. She asked if they were for a special occasion or just every day wear. They were just everyday wear- so she asked if I wanted more "dramatic" or more "natural..." so I went with natural. I didn't get to see what any of the lashes looked like before hand, and received no explanation about what was about to be done to my lashes. I guess I trusted her too much to do a more "natural" look.. the end result was the thickest, curliest, longest lashes. So far from any natural lashes I have ever seen. I couldn't believe my.. eyes. I was like "they're quite long..." and she said that if I didn't like the length I could get them done shorter the next time when I return for a fill. I walked out feeling robbed and a bit like snuffaluffagus. After 2 days I wanted to rip them off. I called to make an appointment to get them removed because they were far too long and I didn't like them. They can't get me in until a week from today! WHAT. I want them off ASAP. I have to get them taken off by the same person who put them on because the gal said on the phone "because it's her work, ya know?" Um. I get it, but I don't have time to wait a week for removal. So now I am getting them removed Monday by another salon whom understands my frustration... Thank goodness and never again, at least at Salon Ish. read more
