Just went for a haircut and had a terrific experience. Shelly and Taylor are both sweethearts and really know hair well. I met Krystyna and always admired her beautiful long and full hair until I finally told her and she replied I could have the same long hair via hair extensions. I could not believe it wasn't her real hair. Thrilled that I went ahead and did it. It's not an inexpensive indulgence but the hair may last up to one year. The extensions are taped, nice and flat, people who compliment me never guess it's not all my real hair. I also get my roots touched up by Krystyna without any bleach, nobody has ever been able to give me this shiny sparkly blond root touch up by just lifting my natural color. It's only 20min drive up North from SD downtown, 20min well spend to get this excellent care. There are also a ton of other stores around to run errands and no hassle parking like downtown San Diego. I recently went into the salon for their hydra facial launch event. I've been looking for new options with taking care of my skin and have tried a few different places that offer microdermabrasion and other methods of deep cleaning. My challenge was that my skin was sensitive and I certainly didn't want to stay indoor for weeks (which is a requirement is doing a chemical peel)... we live in Sunny San Diego for a reason! Plus it kinda hurts. Shelly mentioned the hydra facial and what an easy process it is. So I decided to book a mini session with Erin. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what would benefit my skin. In the last couple of years, my birth control caused some brown spots to appear on my face . I have so many great things to say about this salon. The experience was great from start to finish. I have extensions and had been planning a complete transformation with my stylist for the past 2 months. The plan was to go from platinum blonde to a very dark brown. Not an easy task. Two weeks before the big day, my stylist had a serious emergency and could not keep my appointment. My stylist referred me to Shelly and I am so glad that she did. Shelly was gracious enough to communicate with my stylist, squeeze me in for a consult, and keep my original appointment date. She had never done my hair before, but she was able to take me from platinum blonde to a beautiful brunette on the first try. Again, not an easy task. Her experience with and knowledge of hair color and extensions is nothing short of amazing. I would highly recommend her for a cut, color, extensions or all of the above. This review must also include due props for Leigha. She assisted Shelly on my transformation and did a fantastic job with everything. I am writing this review because I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in the lack of knowledge at Salon LG. I was visiting family and went to them to get extensions and color. They completely screwed up my color ... I'm blond and Shelly made me some ugly shade of grey! My extensions were half done and they look horrible! They completely overcharge for half-ass work! They deserve no stars! I am now in the process of finding another salon to fix what she messed up! Do NOT go to Salon LG! On top of their horrible skills. Shelly is beyond rude! Lauren Beverly has been trimming my hair for about 2 years now. For the first time I had a stylist who listened to me since I prefer length. Plus, she is so personable and genuine, and my hair hasn't looked this healthy in a while. Came in for a haircut and to get my extensions cut. The shop is cute and well styled. The two ladies working at the time were super nice and very knowledgable! They gave me an amazing shampoo/conditioner with a scalp massage that was much needed to relax. After a good blow dry, trim of the dead ends, and added layers I was back to beautiful hair! They gave me advice on my extensions and showed me how to blend them with my hair. I left the salon with fresh hair, some new beauty tips, and some fruity smelling dry shampoo!
