I love the concept of Salon Lofts! I can't speak to all of their stylists, but my experience with Christina has been amazing! My husband actually started seeing Christina to get his hair cut a little over 6 months ago. She gave him a wonderful haircut and she was also very nice. Since she did such a great job with his hair, I decided she was the perfect person to go to in order to take my long hair to a short pixie! She listened to all of my concerns and questions and helped my work with my hair rather than against it. She taught me things I never knew about my hair--that it's fine, but not thin, and that I gave two cowlicks that can make certain styles (like bangs) extra tricky. She had to close for about 2 months due to restrictions put in place by the governor, but she opened back up with all kinds of cleanliness procedures in place, so you can feel totally safe going to her. She recently opened her own business known as Ritual! I am super excited that it is in Vienna as I can completely skip out of that 66 traffic! The location is awesome. I am from Maryland so that drive can be lengthy! However, it is completely worth it. Leighanne is a stylist who I can trust with literally any color I dare to try! I am a dark brunette but Leighanne was able to let me experience the different tones of being blonde! All while keeping my hair as healthy as possible. As you know, going from dark to light can fry your hair. But Leighanne made sure to tell me the products I can use to help not only keep the color from becoming brassy but also how to keep my hair healthy. I was able to purchase all these products from amazon or my local beauty store! She is someone I can trust with my hair. It's very hard to find a stylist that understands what you want but also can help educate you on the hair dying process. I don't know much about hair but find that Leighanne has educated me in the process over the last couple years. What she does for her customers is a complete art. I show her pictures from Pinterest and she literally makes it come to real life with her own flair! She caters the whole look to my features. I love it and appreciate the extra time she takes to truly make me happy. She is very honest and upfront with how long it can take to get a desired look. TLDR: Terrible customer service. Avoid Brittany Jenrette at all costs! I went to Brittany Jenrette for a balayage. What I got instead was my entire hair dyed except the roots. The only part of my hair that was still my original color was about 2 inches of roots, with a stark line all the way around my head where the uniform lighter color started, so that it looked like I had gotten my whole head dyed a couple months ago and let it grow out. Brittany assured me that the dyed parts would fade back to my original color a bit after a few washes (which didn't make sense to me , because how can it fade to darker?? but she's the "balayage expert", so I took her word for it). After following Brittany's directions for hair care for a couple weeks, and it became clear that my hair was not going to magically fix itself I reached out to Brittany via email (the only way to contact her) and told her I wasn't happy with my dye job, and asked what we could do to fix it. She never responded. I waited a week, and sent a follow up email. It's been about a month since the 2nd email, and still no response. Accidents happen, we're all human. How you handle those situations makes all the difference. Brittany failed in this aspect entirely. That she didn't even respond is the worst. read more

I've gone to The Colour Loft (super easy as it's right near the entrance as well...just to the right) She is so awesome with both color and cut. My hair is super hard to cut as it's a combo of curly and straight depending on the day. She helped me find a cut that is flattering and easy to keep up! She also worked magic with the color. Melanie Renée was wonderful! I came in for a Rejuvenating (anti-aging) facial and loved every minute of it. Melanie's loft was private and fully enclosed unlike the hair salon lofts. Her room was really modern, stylish, and calming with nice decor. She learned about my skin regimen and consulted me on which facial she recommended along with additional treatments which she did not pressure me to get. I went with the radio frequency microcurrents as well as oxygen treatment, all of which felt amazing. The radio frequency microcurrent felt like a hot stone massage. The oxygen therapy with the "cloud" mask felt heavenly. I loved the facial and felt super relaxed and rejuvenated. The décolletage massage and treatment were also wonderful. The price for the entire experience, along with an October special, was very reasonable for the value! I highly recommend Melanie - she is very personable, friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about skincare and anti aging techniques.
