It wasn't well-painted, some of the nails showed, and it chipped easily. I liked the location and how clean it was, so I gave it another try. (Can't say I minded the free glass of wine, either!) When I declined, her face went straight from smiling to frowning, and she pointed to the colors, and grumpily said to choose a color, then ditched me. I was not impressed with her fakey fakiness. I am a paying customer, so don't be rude if I don't let you upsell me. UCK! The pedicurist was better that time, but it still didn't last as long as at other places. I had them use dirty tools, try to overcharge and haggle with me for prices, and make me wait over 45 min for a pre-booked appointment. I also have specific things I look for in a nail salon that I want to outline here before going in. ***Edit***I typed the questions before I went and then filled the answers in the next day after my appointment. - so first off will this location be clean, maintain sterile standards/ abide by safety regulations? The majority of the service was done very much up to par. The only thing is they do not pour acrylic powder into a separate dish which is not ideal as any soft/absorbing surfaces/products should be discarded after a single use per state regulations. - Will they haggle prices? (They are running specials right now that do not have a "no-combination" disclaimer.) I honestly did not have the courage to ask them to use both but they did not add the "10% off all services" on my bill even though they have a huge banner out front. This makes me think they won't give you a discount if you don't ask even if they should. With the discount my acrylic fill with shellac was 40$ without tip. - Am I going to be sitting around waiting for my appointment that was booked more than 24 hrs in advance? I got there at 11:38 for an 11:45 appointment and they sat me immediately. They did leave me sitting for about 5-7 minutes however they started my service at my appointment time. After prepping my nails a bit the tech got up and left me there for at least 10 minutes before a different tech came and did my service. - Is the actual service pleasant, pain free, and generally enjoyable? The nail tech did a great job. She took her time and was very meticulously about the shape, borders, and symmetry which was really nice. She was also pretty fast which is a bonus. She checked in with me serval times during the appointment as well to make sure I liked my nails. This is really nice for someone who may not be as comfortable voicing their concerns. She also very professionally and graciously fixed a couple little things I voiced. - Is the overall product of my nail visibly appealing and what I wanted? The nails are awesome. They had a huge selection of colors I haven't been able to find at several salons and I'll definitely go back to try some others.

My usual nail salon didn't open till later in the day so I decided to go to bijou nail lounge. When…read morewe walked in, it didn't seem very busy, one of the workers.(owners?) was doing someone's nails and asked us what service we wanted. We chose mani pedi for both of us. It seems that some of the workers don't understand English as I had let the woman assisting us know that my mother had to go to the bathroom. The nail tech kept insisting that we follow her, but everything was fine. The nail tech started working on my mother's nails first. By the time they got to me, the water that my feet were soaking in was cold. Another worker came and helped by starting my pedicure. He was a bit rough with the leg massage and really it was quite annoying as he did one leg twice. The hot towels for my legs cooled off rather quickly. the hot towels for my hands for the manicure stayed warm for a while. They tried to upsell for eyebrow waxing, which is sort of funny because my eyebrows are thinning, and they did not need waxing. The lady assisting us said that she just wanted to offer services that would make people feel good about themselves. After my mother was finished it took an additional 40 minutes until I was through. I guess they didn't have enough people working that day that I have to wait. I do like that The salon does not have any stairs as my mother is 90 years old and stairs are always a safety issue for her. Overall, I was satisfied with the services and I may decide to start coming to this salon. ****UPDATE**** 8 hours later 5 nails have completely chipped polish, can't believe it. And I didn't do any housework, or used cleaning chemicals or anything that nails should have chipped. Sitting watching TV and hanging out with my dogs should not cause polish to chip off. The polish on the toes is still on.

This is very wrong, I pay good money and leave a generous tip because when I see someone goes above and beyond to make sure I love my nails I will come back and bring people with me. That's who I am. But not everyone in this nail salon believe in their own capabilities and talent that they resort to taking someone else's customer. The other nail tech should WORK HARDER to be known for their work to gain more customers and not take Diu's customers that she builds relationship with and take care of. I hope the Spa owner reads this, please address this. You're gonna lose customers if this toxicity keeps happening.
