Most massages are 60 minutes minimum. I don't have that kind of time. They have. 30 minutes minimum massages and they're amazing!

My usual nail salon didn't open till later in the day so I decided to go to bijou nail lounge. When we walked in, it didn't seem very busy, one of the workers.(owners?) was doing someone's nails and asked us what service we wanted. We chose mani pedi for both of us. It seems that some of the workers don't understand English as I had let the woman assisting us know that my mother had to go to the bathroom. The nail tech kept insisting that we follow her, but everything was fine. The nail tech started working on my mother's nails first. By the time they got to me, the water that my feet were soaking in was cold. Another worker came and helped by starting my pedicure. He was a bit rough with the leg massage and really it was quite annoying as he did one leg twice. The hot towels for my legs cooled off rather quickly. the hot towels for my hands for the manicure stayed warm for a while. They tried to upsell for eyebrow waxing, which is sort of funny because my eyebrows are thinning, and they did not need waxing. The lady assisting us said that she just wanted to offer services that would make people feel good about themselves. After my mother was finished it took an additional 40 minutes until I was through. I guess they didn't have enough people working that day that I have to wait. I do like that The salon does not have any stairs as my mother is 90 years old and stairs are always a safety issue for her. Overall, I was satisfied with the services and I may decide to start coming to this salon. ****UPDATE**** 8 hours later 5 nails have completely chipped polish, can't believe it. And I didn't do any housework, or used cleaning chemicals or anything that nails should have chipped. Sitting watching TV and hanging out with my dogs should not cause polish to chip off. The polish on the toes is still on. read more

I like having her do my nails because she listens and likes my ideas too. The color for this set came out super pretty and fun. And I feel like a fairytale character with this. Broke up with my boyfriend and went to treat myself to nails because, sad girl vibes. Winnie did my hands and Helen did my pedicure. Helen spent every bit of an hour on my feet, and it was the best pedicure I've ever had. She massaged my feet and legs for way longer than she probably had to or wanted to because it was a Saturday and close to closing time. she was wonderful. Winnie did the prettiest set on my tiny nubbins, a true artist that one. i do hair and normally by now my nails would've been lifting. not only have I worked all week but I floated the river and ended up having so scoot across rocks / bang my hands up. not a single nail broke and hardly any wear was done to them. I took 5 of us to this salon after Christmas as a treat to my daughters, the pedis were great, and the staff was kind. Then they did our nails. 2 fills 2 full sets. 1 child's. After almost spending $700, everyone of our nails were garbage after 1week!! Breaking, lifting. It's horrible. The guy that did mine used a weird thing for the fills, not the powder and liquid normally used. It is so upsetting after spending so much money, the nails are horrible. I'm not left speechless often but this one did it! I previously had my nails filled here and they did a really good job so when I needed a new set I decided to come back. When I arrived I asked the nail tech if he could perform my request and he said yes. We then sit down and he starts taking my old nails off and his technique for taking them off was using a nail tip to get under my acrylic to flick them off, one of my nails were pretty tough and stabbed into my skin on accident, he then switched to using the grinder and I pulled my hand away a few times cause it was burning from my nails being thin and over filed. He then proceeds to place the tips, two of the tips were stuck together so as he was trying to separate them and dropped them on the floor. HE PROCEEDS TO PICK IT UP AND GLUE IT TO MY NAIL. I went to beauty school so I know once something drops on the floor you do not pick it up. I should have called it there and just request to remove them but I didn't cause I was already invested in getting my nails done today. He then trims one of my nails and then starts to add acrylic to the I trimmed tips. I asked if he was going to trim them and he said after, I've never had that done before but he seemed pretty confident with his technique. After he trims them he starts to shape them, I requested him to make that narrow and square, after shaping he asks me how they look. They were quite crooked so I showed him and he went back to filing and only filed the side that was not what I was pointing out, making them even more crooked. I pointed it out again and he tells me he's never had any problems before and has never had so many issues. At this point I felt like I was getting gaslighted trying to get them the way I requested. He then tells me it's not done yet and proceeds to the next part of the service. He kept filing, I don't know how I even have any skin left on my fingers and don't even get me started on the hearts. I was so over it I didn't have the energy to tell him they didn't look good since he was already telling me he's never had so many issues. read more

The whole time we were there, the employees were arguing with each other or had attitudes toward one another, even though they were trying to smile with us. It created a really uncomfortable atmosphere. The pedicure was awful -- they hurt my toes taking off my previous polish, the massage was basically nonexistent, and the entire service felt rushed and sloppy. Nothing was done thoroughly. My manicure was just as bad. I have thin nails and clearly expressed my concerns, but the tech was extremely rough anyway. When I asked for a specific nail shape that I always get, she told me "no" and even blamed my broken nails on the shape -- which made no sense because I've never had an issue anywhere else. She ended up doing her own thing anyway. The end result was super botched and uneven. For the price and time spent, this was beyond disappointing. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I don't even know where to start. This evening (Tuesday 6/9) I called in an appointment for a UV Gel fill - the woman on the phone said no problem and agreed to my requested time. When I came in the tech brought me over to his area - friendly and courteous at first, he offered to get me something to drink. He filed my nails down and when he began the fill process he pulled out a jar of powder, clearly not UV Gel. I figured it was an honest mistake so I mentioned to him that what was on my nails was UV Gel. Then asked if he had UV Gel, to which he responded no. Never in 20+ years of getting my nails done have I heard a salon say they do not carry UV Gel. I also do not know why the woman on the phone who took my call to even agree to a service they do not even offer. He told me the powder was the same thing as gel (it's not) to which I politely said it is not the same thing. He then tried to leverage the fact that it was the same color as what I had before. I responded that the color is insignificant UV Gel cures better to the nail and that I have had powder before with horrible nail breaking experiences. In any case, we weren't changing our opinions on how we felt about our preferred choice of nail fill however as a customer I don't think the matter was handled properly. My nails were already filed down so I had to stick out the rest of the appointment. I bit my tongue the rest of the service - aside from that initial avoidable disappointment I was left with a manicure that had one thumb nail drastically cut shorter than another, bloody cut cuticle, and overfilled pinky finger that now looks like my finger is crooked. At the end he asked if I liked my nails, the only positive thing I could point out was the color, which I had chosen. He made another comment about how the powder was the same as the UV gel and as I walked up to the counter I showed him a picture of a prior service I received (the reason I only tried powder 2-3x) is because each time a nail would pop off after a day or two. After I showed him the picture he proceeded to say the fill was $50. The service I received was not worth $50 especially after the comments made throughout the hour I was there. He told me that you wouldn't drive the same car in New Jersey that you would in Texas insinuating that the way nails are done in Jersey are different than in Texas... Pretty sure that's NOT the case. Update 1: Came home and saw he charged me $5 for shape... my nail shape never changed not sure why I was charged for this Update 2: One of my nails has already broke. (Video attached) This is exactly why the powder is not worth it or worth $45. UV gel is more expensive than powder I always pay the higher price so I do not have to deal with my nails breaking. I got my nails done Tuesday evening - today is Friday afternoon. This is ridiculous. read more

Received the worst pedicure today. The tech immediately painted my nails without cleaning the nail after removing the bag of paraffin wax which I know the polish will come right off in a few days. I guess I didn't pick my color quick enough. Came to this establishment to have dip and toe nail polish done. After choosing my first color I had asked if we could check to make sure I liked it being that some colors don't look the same once applied. After checking the color on a fake nail it was obvious it was translucent. I then chose a different color and was told that it would be translucent after one dip and polish check. I did not want to ask if we could apply a second and third coat to the fake nail to get the true color being that the nail tech was already irritated. The tech then told me that all the colors (5) that I chose would be translucent. I then asked if she could help me find one that wasn't translucent and she told me I would just have to choose. She then got up and grabbed another nail tech to finish working on me. By this point I received push back for the nail shape I wanted and the color I needed. The second nail tech rechecked two of the colors I originally wanted, one in a whitish fake nail and the other on a clear fake nail. I absolutely loved the color on the fake clear nail and asked if this specific color would look the same on me. The nail tech said yes and proceeded to continue with the color in my pinky nail. As I first believed , it did not loo the same. Looked a little see through. The nail tech then went to someone else and I was met with a lady who proceeded to tell me that they did not have the color I wanted and that i would have to finish my nails somewhere else. Thankfully the only nail completed was my pinky nail. Im not quite sure why majority of the men and women who work in this industry treat their costumers this way. I honestly do not understand how they stay in business. Is there something going on behind the scenes that we aren't aware of? Possibly that we keep quite and allow it? We stand for being mistreated and up charged for everything including to shape our nails. Curious but exactly how would they leave our nails if we didn't ask for a certain shape? Would they not shape them at all and leave them looking like blobs? When did this become a charge? Now Nail shops are charging to remove dip and or solar materials. I wouldn't mind paying if they at least did a decent job that you didn't have to fight for with constant push back. Unbelievable. How hard is it to put a little effort into helping your customer figure out a color? I left ... what a horrible experience. For the amount we pay and all the extra fees added in by the end of any nail visit you'd think they would be a little kinder. What an outrage. If you don't like your job I suggest find another one. It isn't Right to be unkind to people who pay a large sum for a service. Okay. Rant over. read more

If I could give it a zero star I would. Last time I was here I might have given it a 2.5- 3 star MAX. But... I'm still sitting in the parking lot and I'm baffled. I'm easy to please and I've never left a negative review before... sooo it's actually amazing that I'm this frustrated with my service here today. (I went from splurge and treat myself mode to get the bare minimum and get out!!) Decided to skip the new/full set of glitter powder dipped nails and opted for only a basic pedi w gel because I have the Marine Corps Ball tomorrow. Regret from the second I sat down. She tried to put silver glitter over red gel instead of a red glitter gel. Sooo I asked that she skip the glitter (but luckily the gal working next to her told her there was a glitter red on another shelf) So at least the color was corrected. She Nipped me several times when cleaning the cuticles and had to put antiseptic on it and cotton to stop the bleed. Even nipped me a few times after that... she Hurried through the rest of the pedi and left paraffin chunks ALL OVER my feet and toes. Like... was I being PUNKED?? Do people come back here regularly? I even made an appt and all. OH YAH........ I gave her $80 for the $65 treatment and I stood at the front desk waiting... she kept the change and walked away and never came back. I was going to be GENEROUS by giving her anything at all and my plan was $10. Seriously ladies and gents, I will NOT come back. This is one of the industries that I wish a complain resulted in a refund, but we all know better. I will NOT be rallying the girls for a trip to get our nails done here. Everrrrrrrr. First of all, the nail color samples are a mess, impossible to look at, dirty, AND are not true to the colors they appear on nails. There's nothing wrong with just having a wall with every color option to look at? Second, I came in ahead of time explaining who I was coming in with and when we walked in they were so confused and not prepared. They were less than friendly to my young children. The day after I had my nails done, I already needed a fill. They don't go all the way to the cuticle. One of my nails is peeling already and it's been 4 days. I told the tech what I wanted and I guess he didn't like what I wanted and kept trying to get me the change what I wanted to do. I wanted coffin shape and I've got square. Routine use of a dremel on natural nails? No thanks! I actually didn't know this was even a thing until visiting this establishment. Eight weeks after having this grinding tool used during a routine pedicure, my big toenails still bear the ridges and deep grooves where the tool was used. The nail on my right foot is so thin that it split and sheared off and in spots actually flexes. I'm attaching a photo so you can see that even after eight weeks of growth and under a coat of polish, I have a groove where the man went around the base if my toenail. I know nails grow, but having a nail that thin is actually uncomfortable in closed toe shoes. I won't be back. read more

Paid more than $100 for these nails. Not even 24 hours later the paint is literally pealing off the tips. This is now the second time this has happened. Last time I went on vacation the day after I got them done and had to peel all the nail polish off and paint them myself. My boyfriend and I also got a drink while there. I got a strawberry daiquiri and he got a pina colada. When they brought it to us they were not frozen at all and it looked like they just gave us the same thing ,pina colada with a splash of something red, In a very small styrofoam cup. I went to this nail salon for a basic pedicure and manicure this morning and the lady who did them both was terrible. During my pedicure she cut my toe and totally disregarded it like it was nothing then proceeded to pour the chemical mixtures over the wound like it wasn't there. Then did the worst paint job I've ever seen it's all over my toes and nails. Then when she cut my finger nails she cut them jagged and also painted my nails half done. I'm very skeptic when it comes to nail places. I only have one favorite but it's by my house. When I'm in New Braunfels I gave this new place a shot and I think it's great. It's a very clean, friendly and open spaced spa. They offer a lot of services but today I just went for a pedicure. I ordered the green tea option and the massage portion is just phenomenal. Very relaxing and the massage chairs are very clean and al controls worked for me. The outcome was great but definitely make sure they understand what you want, my tech didnt know what matte top coat was even though they had it. The spa option was only $45 which wasn't bad at all! This is for a pedicure. Three stars for the amazing foot scrub, but this is hands down the worst polish job I've ever had. Not all of the nails were fully covered, so it looked chipped before I ever left the chair. At least one nail was left jagged and not all of the pink polish was removed. By the time I looked closely at my feet, the technician was nowhere to be found, so I wasn't able to ask for it to be fixed. If you're looking for callus removal, this place is fantastic. If you care what the polish looks like, save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

I have been going here since 11/2021 when I moved to New Braunfels. I loved that they did good work and never waited. I do understand that when I went on 12/17/22 that it was insanely busy due to Christmas, but this was crazy. I was at the salon for 3 hours. That was not even the worst part. I got the pedicure from Tom first and he dug so badly into my big toes claiming I had ingrown toenails. One of my toes was bleeding so badly and hurting. I can barely walk on this foot still now 12/20/22 and its infected. I am cleaning my toenail 4 times a day with hydrogen peroxide. Then we go to do my nails and it is still Tom. At this point he is rushing me to pick a color, I pick, and he won't listen to me. I wanted red glitter, and he kept saying okay yeah here and it was pink or gold but never red so finally I just said please do my nails red. He is rushing and not paying attention to my nails and hurts my pinky finger so badly with the drill that he had to put super glue to get it to stop bleeding. Now that doesn't hurt too bad anymore, but it looks just awful. I had to keep saying I need my nails short; I have three young kids. He asks if I want my cuticles cut and I say no because what would he do to my hand? Chop them all up. Then he just does it anyways...so we go to checkout and all these upcharges...nail shape, cut down, blah blah. I paid over $100 (thanks to my stamp card...was $135) to have my toe hurt and infected and a jacked-up pinky finger. I had to then come home and file my nails how they should have been done. I will no longer come here for my nails. I hope someone will make this right. read more
