Lucia is a very very talented colorist! I came in with a mess of highlights and retouched roots with so many shades. She corrected my color PERFECTLY. I can't wait for my first haircut with her next week! She is THE BEST COLORIST IN SANTA BARBARA. Loved loved loved. I did a ton of research before choosing Salon Lucia. Thanks to the ladies at Peaches, I was guided in the right direction. Pamela was very good at helping me thru a big hair transition. She was very good at ensuring I was very happy with my hair and gave me loads of options if I wasn't super happy. I loved that she cared so much that I loved it and was so sensitive about me being nervous. I absolutely love it. This is definitely a hidden gem in Santa Barbara. I have been going to Lucia since the day she opened. I think I was her first or second customer. I am amazed at the negative feedback as she has always done a stellar job on my hair. I have recommended several friends to her and they seem very happy with her (and continue to be customers). I send her brides and when they stand before me (I am minister) their hair and make up is gorgeous. I love Lucy's work and will continue to go to her. Yes, she is busy at times but I always make my appointment ahead and I always get in. She is very accommodating! Ever since I started going to Lucy for my highlights and hair color, I have received more compliments on my hair and how the highlights are so natural looking. She even takes the time to hear my hair needs and does a great job everytime. I always feel pretty when I leave Salon Lucia. In fact, I will be going to her for hair and make up for a gala I will be attending in the near future. Called to make an appointment earlier and luckily they had a spot open the same day! I couldn't have been happier with this gem of a salon. (It's pretty hidden but it's right next to Scarlett Begonia). Lucia was so nice and she cut my hair exactly how I wanted. They even offer water and tea or magazines to read during your haircut, which is a nice gesture. It's hard for me to find a good salon because I'm picky, but I think I finally found my go-to place and I'm definitely coming back. read more

I absolutely love this Salon! I have returned time and time again because of their brilliant customer service and wonderful coloring job. I have been coloring my hair for over 15 years, and gone to a number of stylists. My natural hair color makes it tricky to reach the correct shade of blonde without it looking too brassy or ashy. I have NEVER found anyone who has done a better job than Lucy. I recommend this place to all of my friend and family. I have been to this salon about a total of 5-6 times... And all have been pretty positive experiences with the exception of my last visit...I asked the owner who is one of the stylists for a trim and to not layer or texturize my hair..and she did just that..I used to have pretty long and full hair and now it is a unmanageable mess ... Of course it looked fine after I walked out of the salon but after washing it I noticed how thin it is.. I don't understand why any woman would want thin hair and thus asking for their hair to be texturized.. My coworker even made a comment about my hair looking thin!!....I would definitely not recommend this salon because the owner does not listen to the customer plain and simple. I've tried several salons in town (most at a higher price range) and none of them took the time to understand what I wanted like Lucy did. She has great style of her own so she's up on the current trends and which styles would look good for my hair. I love my haircut and am very happy with the price. Salon Lucia is wonderful! I just had my 6th cut and color, and usually see Lucia but Pamela is great as well. My cut, color and highlights are just the way I like them, although Lucia is great at making suggestions for little changes along the way. A few months ago I made the mistake of getting a cut while out of town, hated it, and went straight to Lucia when I got home; she modified it to look great and it's now grown back to perfect. The salon appointments run on time, I don't feel rushed, nor do I spend hours there as I did at my previous salon where they book other clients while my color processes.
