There are 5 reasons why I keep going back to this salon: 1) The amazing and talented staff, including Bria herself. 2) Bria is innovative, creative, and has the ability to work with people of all ages. 3) The salon is properly managed and clean. Bria typically runs on time. 4) All staff members are friendly and personable. They treat you the same whether you are dressed up for a night out or in a pair of sweatpants on a rainy afternoon. 5) They are professionals and act accordingly. Today I walked in with my 3 kids, the oldest who is 8. Bria did a phenomenal job cutting and blowing out both of my girls hair. My oldest has very curly hair which is not easy to work with. When the children started acting like children and running around as they do, Bria and her staff were able to help redirect them and chatted with them too. Beautiful salon with a very friendly staff! Unfortunately, they are only receiving 2 stars because of the amount of time I had to wait. Had an appointment at 3:00pm and arrived at 2:55pm. Was told to wait a bit up front while Lexi gets ready, so I grabbed a magazine and relaxed a bit. Unfortunately, 3pm came, and there was nothing. 3:05pm, still nothing. It wasn't until 3:10pm that Jennifer up front decided it was time to go in the back to let Lexi know she had a client here. I just assumed Lexi had another client who's time ran a bit over, but that wasn't the case. Ultimately, I was seated at 3:20pm. I have no complaints about Lexi's work, (she amazing and I left very satisfied), however, just wished that premium service matched the 'premium' atmosphere of the salon. I traveled long distances and made it to my appointment on time, I just was hoping that that was respected. read more

I called for a gift card yesterday. I spoke with Jeanine who was so pleasant. I bought highlights and a blow out for my daughter from Bria as a Christmas gift. I paid over the phone and she said she would mail me the gift card and add in a few goodies for my daughter from the show. I came home from work today and my husband said someone personally delivered the gift card to my house and I opened it and it was perfect. I cannot wait for my daughter to have the same great experience in the salon as I did just for obtaining the gift card! read more

One word for this salon: Tacky Came in while visiting my daughter in Greenlawn. Hair color and cut were just 'low class' looking--and not done well or with precision. Had to have it redone by my guy in Florida. Very choppy. Even he said it was difficult to correct. I'm not one to complain while I am there (but I should be), although I wouldn't want them to touch me after that fiasco to risk looking potentially worse.. Seriously would not recommend. read more

I had been unhappy with my hair dresser for quite some time and didn't have the guts to leave her. Finally one day with extreme impulse I called the salon. Immediately they put me in touch with one of the master stylists. Bria was so welcoming . I explained the story that I had already had previous highlights and that they were grown out. She told me to come down to see if she could fix my hair. She told me she would not touch it unless she thought she could and was brutally honest. She went though my hair and said that the highlights I had already were pretty and she would blend them into a "color melt" to make the highlights look more natural and not choppy and uneven like they previously were. I asked her if she could put some more highlights and she was honest in saying she didn't want to touch my hair until maybe July. I am happy with the customer service, the friendliness, and above all the honesty! I will def be visiting in the near future for nails with Lexi, and def highlights with Bria in the summer! I had a deep conditioning by Stella(so sweet) and a trim and blowout by Ashely, who was incredible! She listened to exactly what I wanted and made it to life. Have had some absolute horror shows happen to my head. I went to salon notre down the road (before I discovered this salon) and they absolutely destroyed my head in every sense of the word. It has been a long year of trying to bring it back to life and Salon Martone has helped me greatly every step of the way. Saw this salon on yelp. Went in, very turned off. Not classy at all. If you're a kid a want clown work.. I walked out.

My experience at Salon Martone was horrible. I went in for a haircut and showed the stylist exactly how I wanted it. After she finished, I went home and saw how choppy she cut my hair. I called the salon and they told me to come back in for another cut. I had to drive 20 minutes for her to fix my hair and I was still unsatisfied. I called them a second time and they told me to send them pictures of my hair- and so I did and they accused me of lying! They said this is not my hair and they would never do such a job like that. The lady on the phone continued to accuse me of lying and said the picture shows strands of purple in your hair, and I do not have purple when I walked in initially. All bogus lies they were making up about me. THEN, they told me to come in AGAIN to prove to them this is how she cut my hair. I did not let her touch my hair for the third time and at the end, the owner had a heinous tone and told us to leave the salon. Horrible customer service. Picture does justice... read more

So my daughter and I flew out from California to spend some time in New York for New Years together, I love the show and I decided to try the salon. I called on Dec. 28th for an appointment for my daughter's Brazilian blow out/ hair cut and hair cut for me. They fit us in with Stella on December 31st. We went in and were treated so well by Stella and staff. While I was getting my hair cut Bria came in and then Lexi. They were so friendly and welcoming! This salon is run well. It's clean and blinged out but what stands out the most is how everyone is down to earth, friendly and warm. The work they do is top notch. Loved my hair cut and my daughter's Brazilian blow out was top of the line. Stella asked about how we dry and style our hair and what we were hoping to have done. She gave pointers on how to care for our hair and made sure were knew not to use any shampoo with sulfates in it. We even received a welcome bag with goodies from Salon Martone. It was nice to see how these ladies all work their tails off, even on New Years Eve, to take care of their customers. I live in SoCal where some salons treat you like Julia Roberta in Pretty Woman when she walks into the fancy store. That didn't happen here! I will try to come back as often as I can. read more

So I was beyond excited when I found this nail salon, they have great pictures of their work on Instagram and I wanted to give them a try. i made my appointment, came in, the ladies were all so nice and i felt really welcomed. I told the girl doing my nails that i wanted a regular uv gel manicure with a little design on one finger, the usual i get at my other nail salon. she did my nails, my design, nails looked good... when i went to pay, my bill came up to $93.... like whaaaat?! they are very over priced, at my regular nail salon i pay $40 for the same exact thing and my nails last about 3 weeks... 3 days later, my gel was peeling off, i was terrified to go back and get it fixed because i thought id be charged since it so expensive. unfortunately i will not be going back to do their over priced services. The girl Christina who did my hair was nice at first but when I called to say the color changed in one week the receptionist told me to come in . When I came back in Christina had an attitude and basically blamed me and my hair texture for why she couldn't get the color right . She tried three times and was getting frustrated . She had such negative energy and was in a very bad mood. Taking it out on me . I was so uncomfortable However one of the daughters came by me and looked at my hair . She was very very nice . Had my first visit to Salon Martone a few weeks ago, after stalking their Instagram for quite some time. I trusted Bria with coloring my hair (my first time, ever) with very little guidance, except "I want to look as blonde as I used to be without anyone knowing I dyed it." She asked a few questions, and then confidently set to work. She was extremely knowledgable and sweet the entire time. This is a family business, and I had the pleasure of meeting her sister, mother, and grandmother, who are all equal parts kind and hilarious. The salon is beautiful and comfortable. Took my 13 year old son to get his hair cut last week. He has thick, wavy hair that might be a bit difficult to cut, but he received the worst haircut of his life. The stylist spent over an hour and I had to ask her 3 times to cut it shorter and to buzz the back and sides even though she wanted to cut it. That would have been fine, but she didn't know how to shape or cut it close to the head as boys like. The top was left way to long and it looks like he has Frankenstein head. So AWFUL. On top of it all the music they were blasting was full of profanities - so inappropriate. The space is over the top and very typical Long Island hair salon - ugly. Would not recommend read more
