They always offer beverages ("Would you like lemon in your water?") The nail staff is amazing - charming and fun and easy to talk with, and so, so good. My nails always look beautiful (toes and fingers) and I have such a lovely time. Melissa, Carly, and Elizabeth, especially. It's a wonderful experience. Heated neck wraps are immediately offered, they always check with you on water temperature for pedicure tubs (which also have lovely soothing lights that change color). The massage chairs are almost as good as an actual masseuse (although for a real massage...oh, yes, this is the place!) They have both OPI and essi, and always the latest colors. The manager was helpful and encouraged me to return to the same stylist so she could learn from the situation. Although I was uncomfortable with that, I agreed as long as there was guidance. At the redo appointment, I again showed the inspiration photo and reiterated my concerns. Unfortunately, I left with hair that was pinkish/reddish/yellow and extremely dry -- again, not aligned with what I requested. The manager did ask if I was happy with it, but with the stylist present, I felt uncomfortable speaking up and said very little. The situation felt awkward and difficult to address in the moment. While the redo was comped, I was charged approximately $150 for a root retouch. Within just a few days, my silver growth was already visible. At this point, I am over $500 into the experience and have left each appointment feeling embarrassed rather than confident. I've decided to move on and find another salon, but I was truly disappointed by how far the final results were from what was clearly communicated.

I still remember my first cut with her- I walked in with incredibly damaged curly hair and tears in my eyes. I was sooooo fed up! Her first words,"it's ok, but do you trust me? We can fix this... This is what needs to happen...". She couldn't have been more right. She cut the damaged stuff and left me with the cutest, curly Felicity cut ever! We went from that to a trendy Fem faux hawk and now a longer bobbed Sharon Stone curly cut styled just for me. This woman gets my curls and cuts or razors just for them. Bring a pic and she will comply- Shannon has strong control of her shears. But don't be shocked, she also knows her face shapes and hair types- she will honestly tell you if it will work or if that style fits your busy schedule (speaking from experience). Well I have went to Michaels and had a stylist straighten my hair two times with success. I was…read morevery happy. Well the girl I had for the straighteners was no longer at the salon. I had another more experienced stylist for the straightening. It was confusing from the get go. They were talking about not having the instructions for the product they were gonna use. Anyway I have never been in such an awful situation at any salon. The stylist insisted that she had the right product. I knew it was not what was used. To make a long story short. When the stylist went to dry my hair , I was turned around so I was unable to see the back. Here I spent 90.00 including tip to get home and after waiting 3 days I washed my hair and it has all the strong waves , it did not take at all. She had only let the solution on 3 min after applying it. I was very upset cuz you can't just get it done again and my hair looked awful and I had to save to pay for that. She was way more expensive than the other stylist since she was there 6 years. Her cut seemed good. I had went to Beauty School years ago in Miami Florida so I know the process was wrong and I tried to tell Michael this solution needs to stay in my hair way longer to straighten it. He tried to tell her to leave it on longer when the Blonde stylist in the far right corner yelled just leave it on overriding Michael. Her chair is back in the far right . After she yelled that out she was talking softly to her client and she and the client laughed together! What an awful experience it all was. I ended up calling Michael 4 days after i washed and saw my hair all with my deep waves in the back still that I cannot control in the Summer at all. He said he could give a conditioner since it was very damaged. I told him I have a great conditioner at home. So I hung up and tried to call back my stylist hoping I could get some money back since my hair was not straightened at all. Here Mike answered and I told him who I was and I wanted to take to my stylist . He ended up extremely angry and just said I offered you a condition treatment so I just hung up. If I ever in any profession, as in a stylist , I would have offered a little money back. 30 .00 or so and I would have felt respected and understood tgat my hair was gonna even be harder to work with . So I'm sad I really liked Michael and was so thankful for their pricing and he was always gracious.
