went here back in december for a full foil. the foils turned out chunky and tiger stripeish. My boyfriend was upset that it looked nothing like the picture I gave her as a model. Have sinced paid $300+ to get my hair to the blonde level I wanted. not only were the foils poorly placed, but I was brassy all-over! Color correction is a bitch! They were all super nice; I even met with the owner. Jennifer, who did my hair, was also very nice, but I'm just not sure that she had enough experience with foiling. My new stylist at Aqua balayaged, bleached my roots and toned and blow dried my hair all in the time that my foils were still being done at Oasis. Jennifer apologized for having to constantly mix more bleach. I said it was alright, but inside, I was panicking. I remember paying $180 with tip, and was just bummed for a super long time afterwards. I also didn't feel comfortable telling them I was unhappy because everyone said it looked gorgeous. It wasn't until I went to a new stylist in Salem that the stylists understood where I was coming from. will not be returning. read more

Pretty good little place! I was in a bind and wanted a lift pre-Christmas (i.e.: I had childcare on Christmas Eve and desperately wanted my hair done). I called so many different places that were closed in the area and found salon oasis. I was having breakfast with friends in the morning and they were able to take me at 10:30am. The girl who I had was great. Hairdressers are always up for great conversation and it seemed their regulars knew them quite well and loved them with the conversations everyone was having around me. It took 2 hours which was a vast improvement on the last time I went to another salon and it took 3 for a partial. I was impressed by her quick hand and LOVE MY COLOR. I only wanted a little lift with my partial and it's a bit blonder than I go in the winter but I adore it. It's tucked in a tiny plaza across from a gas station near the start of route one. An awkward place on the way towards the topsfield fair grounds. If you live nearby it's definitely worth looking into. Oh, and decor was a bit odd from what I remember. But the people and the end result were worth every minute. read more

On a trip to the Danvers area to help my son apartment hunt and I ran across excellent reviews for the Oasis Salon. Not knowing anyone locally to get a referral, I was a little skeptical but I decided to go in and ask questions to see what feeling I got from the staff. Wow, the second I walked in or within a minute all staff made eye contact with me, said hi and welcome. I asked a couple of questions and they decided that the best person to answer my questions was Stephanie. I can appreciate when someone tells me the truth and not just what new any to hear. Stephanie did just that, she asked questions to better understand what I wanted and why I wanted the result I wanted. Stephanie is compassionate about what she does. She knew I was from out of town and that she may never see me again. She could have seen this as a make what you can while you can moment. Stephanie did everything but that. Stephanie took the time to give me tips on getting and keeping my hair healthy. she was so caring and understanding about my self conscious situation. I WILL definitely plan my trips back to visit my son around my hair services to work with Stephanie again. She was wonderful and did an exceptional job !!!! Lauren is amazing. Bubbly, friendly, and super talented. Everyone in the salon is very friendly, and I've never had a bad experience.

I made an appointment for a cut/blow-dry. and was booked with Lauren. When I went in I explained what I was looking for (and the look I wanted to avoid) and I have to say it was the best cut I've had in my life! It's just perfect! Lauren and the receptionist is very friendly as is everyone in the salon. The price for a cut/blow-dry is affordable ($35) and I look forward to going for other services in the future. This is long overdue! I moved here in November 2012 and went to another prominent Salon at the North Shore Mall because everyone told me they were the best. I get my hair trimmed about every 8 weeks and every time I went into the salon my stylist would cut me down and tell me I looked old or worn out. I decided I had enough and found Salon Oasis and Allie in 2014!! This place rocks. Everyone is so friendly, always have a smile on their faces, and really make you feel like you are gorgeous! Allie rocks whether she is doing color or a haircut and I wouldn't go anywhere else! This review is way overdue! Kelsey has gotten me more compliments on my purple colored locks than any hair stylist ever has. Coming from Miami, I was nervous trusting my hair to someone new. I met a girl with a gorgeous color job at a restaurant and she referred me to Kelsey. Kelsey welcomed me in to the salon like old friends and immediately put me at ease. I knew it was a match made in heaven, right away. She worked efficiently and meticulously to get my hair where it needed to be. I went to Salon Oasis over the summer as I was looking for a salon that was more affordable and closer to home. My stylist was very sweet, but also inexperienced. I explained to my stylish that I wanted to lighten up my hair for summer. I showed her a picture from my wedding for reference which was when my hair was my natural dirty blonde color with a full foil of blonde highlights. At the time of the visit, my hair was light at the bottom, but dark with my natural color at my roots and underneath. I explained that I wanted my hair to be uniform (meaning my natural color,) with blonde highlights. My stylist asked for advice from one of her colleagues, and her colleague recommended that we do a root color, which I have never done by the way. The colleague even told me that the root might not match the bottom portion of my hair, but that they would add in low lights if need be. Granted, that should have been a red flag, but I assumed because they were hair stylists and the salon had good reviews that they knew what they were talking about. So, needless to say when my color was done processing I was shocked when it was a brassy, orange color throughout my root area. The worst part is, when I told my stylish and her colleagues that I thought it was brassy they looked at me like I was crazy and said that I was confusing my original color peaking through with brassiness. Finally my stylist said "OK I can see where you're coming from." One of the colleagues even had me check outside with her in a different light and she said "Well I mean you went from really dark to really light so theres going to be a little brassiness." (I didnt ask to go from dirty blonde to platinum blonde!) At that point, I was like OK, maybe it's just me and its not that bad. My stylist was really nice and apologetic and said that if I wasn't happy when I got home that I could come back and she would fix it. I think I called when they opened the next day and she took me right away. The point of the visit was to get rid of some of the brassiness and tone down my hair, so her and another colleague decided that low lights would be the answer. They said I was going to love it. Well, after the low lights finished processing, some of the brassiness was gone but my hair was even more blonde! When they asked if I liked it I told them it was better so that I could get out of there as quickly as possible. I knew I was not going back there if they offered to fix my hair again, so I lied. It is now November and I am still going through color correction. Maybe this salon is OK with the basics, but I would definitely be weary if you are looking to get a color done. read more

I cannot say enough about this Salon! I have been going for over a year. At 1st I had my daughter get a keratin treatment that lasted 6 months....Money well spent!!!! All I can say is thank you to Stephanie for giving my daughter extra confidence in feeling and looking great without frizzy hair. That was the start of a trusting relationship with Stephanie and honestly the rest of the staff. Recently had a situation where I had my other daughter get her ends dyed purple somewhere else...Big mistake not coming here but I didn't think to go just for purple ends. My bad! Needless to say after my daughter and I were crying over the results....Stephanie to the rescue! She literally saved my daughter's hair and brought back a sense of calm for a kid who thought she was going to have her hair all cut off when it's down to her waste.
