Marilyn is worth every penny! Not only is she incredibly sweet, but she really takes her time to make sure you are getting exactly what you hoped for. She gives amazing shampoos (she'll even spritz your face with rose water, or do essential oil eye pads for you while you lay there) and when she's done updos/fancy styles for me they have turned out SO dreamy. I've always found it challenging to find stylists who can do natural looking blonde highlights and manage my extremely thick hair, but Marilyn is excellent at both. Ashley has been doing my hair for a few years, never disappoints me. Super love her and how amazing she makes my hair blonde. Now the salon was super nice when I first went there. Loved the simple and clean atmosphere. The plants made it pop. I came in recently and a couple months again, it's completely different the music isn't the best it's in a completely different language, which I'm not against but definitely not what you would want to listen to. The ceiling is half gone which seems dangerous and not really appropriate for a salon. Definitely would recommend having AC with these hot summer days. Also the decorations are all odd and seem like just a bunch of random stuff. Definitely wish is was the way it was before. Simple, clean and more of a modern look. I'm in love with this girl and her hair artistry!! She does my highlights and roots and I'm super picky because I have a LOT of gray that's hard to cover and blend. She figured out a way to color it where it's not as noticeable when my roots are growing out. She also cuts my boyfriends hair now (he's super picky too) and he loves her. This review is LONG overdue, but my appreciation for Marilyn is just as strong as when she fit me in for a very last minute appointment! I came to Marilyn in May 2018 at the beginning of my bachelorette weekend looking for a haircut. I had toyed with the idea of dying or highlighting my hair for years, but after a terrible dye job when I was younger, I'd stayed away from color ever since. Since it was a big weekend for me, though, I decided that maybe I was ready for some highlights. Not only did Marilyn not turn me down immediately since that wasn't part of my appointment (and because she had other appointments lined up), she fit me in and actually HEARD my request for subtle, sun kissed highlights! I didn't want a drastic change before the wedding, and what she did for me was PERFECT! I still looked like me but with just a bit more depth and dimension to my hair. It looked great then and on my wedding day (added to the updo). Beyond the hair, though, Marilyn made me feel so special. She didn't have to at all, but she let me know that she was going to figure out a way to do everything I wanted done with my hair with next to no time. It kicked off my weekend perfectly. The coloring process was amazing she went above and beyond what I had requested to help correct my transition from black to blonde. I have never been happier with my color which was really great since she did it a week before my wedding.
