Best experience EVER! I'll start off by saying Chera is beyond amazing and so so caring. She wants to make sure you love your hair which most other people won't take the time to really perfect your hair. I'm probably one of the pickiest people when it comes to things like my hair. I always find a reason to complain or not like how my hair is cut or styled but trust me when I say I have zero complaints at all. She took the time to make sure my hair looked great, and knew good suggestions on what to do. Although what I got this time wasn't exactly what I wanted, it's understandable that photos are only used for inspiration, not for 100% replication. $300 for these highlights here, plus $50 for a haircut. I had purchased a Groupon for haircut with Kassie, called to make appointment, she asked about hair length, so I let her know my hair is medium length, and I don't need to take so much, i just need a little layers- so she said based on the texture of hair( not really 100% certain what that means) it would be 15-20$ extra charge. Made appointment, it is walking distance to my place so it was great for me. When I showed up for appointment Kassie was sweet, and informed me it will be 20$ ( i doesn't have a lot of hair or anything complicated, just slightly wavy hair), but she did a great job with cut. She shampooed my hair and did great job with cut so no complaints about that. However, it will be nice if they insert fine print somewhere in Groupon to let buyers know , considering everyone's financial situation is different; the haircut was 35$ on Groupon +20$ additional charge and 10$ tip so total of 65$ for haircut is not in everyone's budget. read more

I paid over $200 for a keratin treatment and it was frizzier after the treatment than it was before I went in. I went back to have it redone a few weeks later and it looked even worse. The stylist/ owner (Chera) never apologized or refunded me, even after I sent her pictures showing her that the service and product didn't "take"; I ended up having to pay an additional $190 (including tip) at another salon to have it fixed. The haircut was fine, but I could never recommend this salon or stylist based on my experience. 6/8/2020 UPDATE: Chera texted me this evening, but not to apologize or explain anything- she demanded I remove my review then became angry when I said that I stand by every word I wrote. Seldom do I write reviews but this I had to share with others to ensure it doesn't happen to you! I should have read the negative reviews of this salon, and Chera in particular. Chera messed up my hair, she did not do what I asked her or paid full price for, and when I asked her if she could please fix it she refused and said to look for someone else. In her bio, it states her desires are to make others feel good about their hair however, her actions do not reflect that at all as she ruined my hair and refused to fix it. I was shocked at how poorly and apathetic she treated me especially since I had been a regular for some time! Additionally, every time I had an appointment with her she always increased her pricing. I couldn't believe she told me if I was unsatisfied to go elsewhere. So incredibly rude and unprofessional. She ruined my hair. I would not trust her for hair nor would I ever give my business to someone like her again. Truly saddens me. Apparently, I am not the only person who has encountered similar issues. I know groupon takes a large portion of the profits, so I was hoping to pay her (as a small business), directly. Well, my appointment was set for tomorrow, and when she messaged me to confirm, I wanted to be transparent. I reminded her of our conversation and agreement about the groupon deal. The deal happened to be offered at a lower price than it initially was, so I let her know I screen shotted it, and planned to bring cash. I tried to discuss with her and she didn't seem to understand or remember our initial conversation. She then said it's an extra $90-$120 depending on the weight and length of your hair? When I explained (again) and let her know I could just get the groupon if she would prefer, she told me that maybe she isn't the right hair person for me?! I hardly ever get my hair cut bc it is so fine and thin, and grows exceptionally slow. It's why I don't have a go-to hair girl... But I also don't understand why you have a deal on groupon if it's an extra $120 to perform the exact services listed on groupon? I should have read the negative reviews of this salon, and Chera in particular, prior to purchasing a Groupon. ( as well as the other 'not recommended' reviews that she tried to post to her own Yelp account- read them!) I purchased a Groupon for partial highlights, and had to call 3 times and leave messages asking for an appointment before 'Chera' even called me back. When she finally calls me back, the VERY first thing she says is "there is going to be an extra $80- $100 charge for the partial highlights". HUH???? I told Chera I had already purchased the Groupon for the partial highlights, so all I am booking an appointment for is what I have already purchased on Groupon. She then tells me "there is an extra charge for extra long or thick hair", and I told her repeatedly I have neither. I have thin, blond, shoulder length hair and have never been charged an upcharge from any other salon for having 'long or thick hair'. She quoted me an extra $80-$100 SIGHT UNSEEN, and when I *dared* question that, she then tells me to plan on the $100. When I once again state that is ridiculous, that partial highlights don't cost $160 (the $60 I paid for the Groupon plus the extra $100 she is now demanding) at full price upscale salons, she flat out told me that if I didn't like it to trade in my Groupon and go elsewhere. I have NEVER encountered someone so unprofessional, rude and condescending in my life. I contacted Groupon and told them she is obviously attempting a 'bait and switch' scheme by selling Groupons and then telling people that call for an appointment they will actually be paying an additional $100 - SIGHT UNSEEN- no matter what length or thickness of hair you have (or in my case, don't have). I not only received a full refund from Groupon, they told me they have had multiple other complaints regarding this merchant for the same reason, and will be removing her from their website. I got a Groupon for a haircut & balayage with Chera, and two weeks later I am still stopping in the mirror to get a second look. This is the best cut and color I have EVER gotten. Not only was the salon and experience itself relaxing and enjoyable -- Chera completely transformed my hair. She got rid of all my lank, dead ends to get natural, flowing volume and layers. She gave me gorgeous, natural-looking balayage that really gives my hair depth and compliments my skintone and eyes. I've gotten so many compliments, and I haven't loved my hair this much in years. I went in for a balayage and what I got is certainly NOT a balayage. I am a brunette and now have blonde streaks all over my hair. When Chera was done I told her she did highlights instead of a balayage and she responded "No, it's blended. Maybe it's because of the way the hair is parted" (???) Chera is the best!! I came to her with a chunky balayage I wasn't super happy with and completely fried hair. I knew I wanted it to look more natural but I couldn't decide if I wanted it to be light for summer or brown for graduation pictures and Chera was able to give me the best of both worlds!! She fixed my highlights and toned them to the most gorgeous shade of brown but made sure that as they faded for the summer the highlights would still look natural. I had a cut and style and had my hair cut by someone else a couple months ago and she ruined my hair, but Kassie fixed it and made it beautiful again. She did layers and framed my face and gave it volume and my hair feels amazing again. Then she did my moms long blonde hair, she did partial highlights and cut and style and it looks amazing.
