Chad is a hair magician, I am so thrilled about my haircut! This is my first time getting my locks cut by him and I'm so glad I came here. I finally took the plunge today and got an A-line bob cut. So far, this is the shortest I've ever cut my hair. Although an A-line bob hairstyle seems like a simple cut, not all stylist can cut it with such finesse and precision. I love that I can swish my hair whichever which way and it still falls into place perfectly. Not too short not too long, not too layered, just right. Overall I had a great experience. Love this place! I checked it out when a friend told me about Chad after I raved about her gorgeous hair. Been going here for 7 years now to see Chad for cut, color, and amazing blowout. I got my mom and friends hooked, too. Service is wonderful; I especially enjoy being greeted with espresso for those early morning appointments. Products are fantastic. Chad's using INOA haircolor which has beautiful rich colors, no ammonia, no odor, and looks great for weeks. Free WiFi! Ambience is upbeat, cutting edge, and friendly. You know how some salons can make you feel like you aren't hot enough to leave your hair on their floor? You don't get that feeling walking into Salon Passione, even when you know you're overdue for the service. And, after spending time in Chad's hands, I always walk out feeling like I'm so hot no other salon would be good enough for ME. He has a great eye and talent for style and color. With previous hairdressers, I'd stress over how my hair was cut or colored and never feel satisfied. With Chad, I can let him call the shots and he always delivers a fresh, fashion forward look that gets me lots of compliments. Regarding the folks who didn't have a great experience here, I'd say give it one more chance. It doesn't sound like they had the good fortune of seeing Chad, who is the mainstay of the salon. Found a groupon for this place and headed over to get my damaged poor hair cut and treated. There is limited parking in the back, and the lot is a little bit tricky to find. The service was professional, and the inside was modern and clean. My stylist was really nice and because I had little preference for how my hair was cut, just made some executive decisions for me - which I appreciated! Hair is feeing great and healthy now! One little draw back is she that I got a deep moisture treatment as a part of the groupon deal too, but my hair just felt like it was regularly conditioned. I gave Marina a pretty good challenge: fix my messed up haircut without knowing me and my thin/straight meets thicker/curly combination hair. She did a fantastic job, checked in with me through the whole process to make sure that I was happy with it, and was incredibly professional when she could have said "What the heck happened to your hair?!" I think I just found my new stylist! While I didn't know anyone, it appeared that most of the clients were regulars. More importantly, every client was walking out with great cuts and beautiful color. The salon is bigger than I expected. Best salon in the SGV, I've been a client for 8 years now. To get this quality cut and color elsewhere would usually be through the roof, but Chad and Grazia are very fairly priced. If you know exactly what you want, they will listen and you will walk out very happy and with your wallet in much better shape than it would be for the same cut and color anywhere else. Many stylists can do this, but don't know enough about the actual science behind what they are doing (or just don't care) and will ruin your hair. Chad knows how to get what you want and maintain the health of your hair, and if what your asking is impossible without ruining your hair, he will tell you so and protect you from making a mistake. If you need some help deciding what you want, Chad is EXCELLENT and knowing what would look good on you and presents very good options and ideas. When I moved from Pasadena to West LA I still hauled an hour each way for cut and color. I tried finding someone closer because driving 40 miles round trip in LA is a bitch and I have zero free time, but nobody else can get the color the way I like it. I highly, highly recommend trying this salon. I've been to many salons in across the major US cities and this is my favorite one. Being in the beauty industry myself, I'm a very picky person when it comes to my hair and he is the only person that I trust 100%. Every time I get my hair colored by him I get so many compliments on how amazing the color looks. The salon is very clean and hip and there's always great music playing in the background. Not only does he really take into mind the shape of your face and coloring of your skin, he also allows for some playfulness as well. His cuts are so good they last a very long time too.
