When I went in for my cut recently, I gave the receptionist my debit card and they charged me a 3% fee, as if it were a credut card. I told her it was not legal to charge a fee on a debit card and she said their new machine had no way to input my pin number. I contacted my stylist and told her. Her response was that she contact the card machine manufacturer and she said there was no way to fix it. Please do not get sucked into this! My bank even said I should contest it. read more

I made an appointment for my husband for a haircut. They scheduled him with Katherine. My husband came back home and he was butchered. I guess Katherine trained while shaving sheep. He doesn't have a complicated haircut, just a clean nice men's haircut. That woman shaved his head and gave him the worst haircut I have seen in 15 years that I have been with him. If you don't like your job then don't do it! Period. You have no right to "train" on people's heads let alone charge for it. You should not be a hairdresser. If you want a less than inferior haircut, Salon Picasso is your place. read more

When I first came in, it was only because my stylist at another salon was never available and was always moving my appts, otherwise I was happy with my hair so I was really nervous about starting over with someone to evaluate my current hair color / highlights, likes and dislikes but I picked Donna based on other reviews and haven't regretted it. On 9/7/12, I went to an appointment with Leslie for a trim of split ends and light layering. My hair is virtually all one length and as long as my butt. My hair also expresses my Middle Eastern identity and is extremely important to my self esteem. I emailed pictures of Kim Kardashian to Leslie the night before as well as brought them into the salon to show her exactly what I wanted. Leslie asked me how much I wanted taken off and I said 4 inches -- then showed her with my fingers. She said no problem. Minutes later, she combed my wet hair behind me and started cutting. She never asked to cut off any more of the 4 inches agreed upon nor asked about any deviation to the agreed upon cut. I cherish my long hair and it's taken me almost 6 years to grow it. It has some dryness and split ends but I was only looking to take off the worst offenders at the bottom. I saw no hair that fell, it all fell behind me. Leslie then goes to layer my hair. Now I've layered my own hair at times. It's beauty school 101. But to Leslie it meant grabbing my hair at chin length then cutting horizontally in at least 6 inches!!! She then did it to the other side (as I looked in horror) and then she gave up, calling in another stylist - Donna - for help. Donna chastised her for what she did, telling her you don't cut across for layers. Donna showed her the right way to angle the scissors and attempted to fix the butchering Leslie did with little success. Donna told Leslie what she did was "extreme" and Leslie smugly replied "well extreme is my style". I was incredulous!!! My hair was then pulled from the back to my front where I got my first look at my 4 inch trim. My hair was GONE!!! Leslie chopped off almost 2 feet of hair!!!! Never said a word, NOTHING. I was horrified, in shock, shaking. I couldn't process this disfigurement and I was late picking my child up at her school for a dr. appointment. Leslie said "I know it's shorter than you wanted but at least it looks healthy." Stunned, stunned. I paid Leslie the 20 dollars that was agreed upon, ran out of the salon, and collapsed in tears in my car. I called my friend and was absolutely distraught as I described my hair assault. Got my kid, canceled the appointment, went home and violently vomited. This is not a livable hairstyle for me. My self esteem has been destroyed. I went in to Salon Picasso with Cher hair and left with a badly cut short soccer mom hairdo. It will take almost 5 YEARS to regrow what I lost. In order to fix my hair I need extensions. I need as permanent a solution as I can get. I researched them for my needs and made a consultation for the following day. I called the salon prior, spoke to Shelly the owner, and told her what happened. She seemed horrified as well, told me she'd talk to Leslie, and to call me that same day after I got my quote. I called, left my number, was promised a callback that never came. The next day I call the cops. A cop comes to my house, is shocked himself, and advices me what to do. He tells me to bring the estimate to the salon. If they don't cooperate, ask for their names so I can take it to court. Yesterday I get there and walked into a hostile environment. "Concerned" Shelly was now rude and defensive. I calmly explained what happened and was met with zero sympathy. She told me to get some clip on extensions, that she would pay nothing to fix my hair, and felt since Leslie was in training (not revealed to me) she was not liable for anything Leslie does in her shop. Even after I told her of my mental distress, my nearly 10lb weight loss in 5 days , Shelly was stone-faced. Then, bizarrely she decides to insult and criticize my bad "dye job". What does her opinion of my hair color have anything to do with the damage Leslie did?? I politely asked for her name and the other stylist's name and she REFUSED. So I told her I was going to call the police and calmy left the salon without another word. I never once raised my voice or got aggressive with her even though she was aggressive towards me. While outside by my car on the phone with the police, Shelly called the cops on me for trespassing and harassment. Three cruisers arrived. All of the cops were on my side as I showed them pictures! They gave me Shelly's info and what I needed to subpoena them with. This is definitely going to court. Unbelievably Leslie still works there!! I can't imagine any business owner being abusive to a customer that was butchered by an employee. No sympathy, nothing. Meanwhile I'm having to seek medical attention for the mental and emotional distress of my disfigurement as well as not being able to eat for now, 6 days. This was not a bad haircut -- it was a violent assault on my hair with scissors. I'm shocked a salon with such a good reputation would risk a lawsuit over a rogue stylist. There is no excuse for what was done to me at this salon. I am forced to give 1 star by yelp. Deserve 0. read more

Was not pleased with the cut and color. The stylist really pushed for all-over highlights, so I went with it. I asked for natural, but ended up with chunky streaks. It didn't look awful, but wasn't worth the $150. Will not be going back. read more

Donna has colored and cut my hair three times in the past months. She listens to my description of how I want my hair cut, helps me decide on a particular style by looking at photos, then goes to work doing a great job. She is very knowledgeable about color and hair products. My hair is not the easiest to work with so it is good to have a stylist that you can have confidence in her experience and abilities. The interior of the salon has recently been remodeled and has a very nice atmosphere. read more
