I provided a picture of myself from when I had gotten my hair done for a previous wedding as an example of what I wanted (smooth, neat curls). I tried to smooth it out on my own and then asked for a touch up before they left, but she reverted it back to how she had originally styled it. The curls were not uniform at all, going every direction and frizzy. After the wedding I reached out to Lynda to say I was not satisfied with the styling (which was $125, not including tip). I was met with immediate defensiveness and even gaslighting from Lynda - saying it was because of the weather and she thought I looked great (did not go outside before taking photos). Lynda does not offer refunds, only a complimentary free styling. As I'm not local and was not happy with the services, that was of little value.

In total she did 5 hairstyles and 4 girls for makeup. We tweaked a few things from my trial and ended up with exactly what I was looking for - a winter mermaid bride. My bridal party also looked stunning and we all photographed so well! Ashleigh is a true artist and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her whether it's for your every day hair appointment (cut, color, etc) or for your wedding day. By the time the ceremony came our hair looked awful, we ended up taking it down for the reception. The makeup was so subtle that I wish I'd done it myself. Also they make it seem like lashes are included in the price and then charge extra for barely noticeable lashes that were falling off within the hour. They were also not a pleasant presence in the bridal suite, they seemed quite miserable. For such an important day, I would recommend splurging to hire professionals.

When I arrived I found her space so neat and beautifully decorated! It was very cozy. She took the time to ask me how comfortable I was with makeup (I never wear ANY on a normal day), what I envisioned for my hair, if there was a theme to the wedding and so much more. Basically she really wanted to connect with me and figure out what I truly wanted. I loved that! She started the process and walked me through everything she was doing, making sure I was comfortable and happy. At the end of my appointment I was so pleased with her work! She is so talented!
