Well, first off let me say I take responsibility for not doing all my homework before scheduling an appointment to find the right stylist for the job ahead...Background...it has been 3 years since I have gone to a salon because I am always fearful I will not end up with the results I was hoping for and my hair would be damaged. That being said I have 3 year old dimensional highlights and 3 years of virgin hair. So, I make an appointment for 11:30 on a Saturday and arrive 10 minutes early, I am seated right away and proceed to share the photo of what I wanted my hair to look like (see photo). It was identified as balayage and the stylist proceeded to get to work. My confidence level in my stylist proceeded to diminish as I watched them process my hair. An hour + later, the first process was finished, it was time to tone the highlights (although, I thought I was getting a balayage), the toner was left on for 20 minutes, rinsed and the result was shocking, what little blonde I had left on the ends when I walked in was now gone and the panic was starting to set in... there was then a consultation among stylists to figure out how to proceed and correct, more product was applied to my hair and I started to worry what condition my hair would be in by the time this was all finished...after more rinsing and checking it was time to comb and blow dry, this was torturous, I have a tender scalp, but with 2 stylists simultaneously pulling at the knots that were put in my hair while shampooing my scalp was screaming...by 7 pm I was still no where near the style I had hoped to obtain that day. I was mortified, I paid ($175) and tipped, for the "effort" of trying to correct but I didn't see a whole lot of difference from the time they rinsed the first time, (see photo). I left in shock, they said they would call in a few days to see how I was feeling about my hair, they did, I did not answer, my feelings have gotten worse. I washed my hair yesterday and immediately knew something was wrong as my hair swelled up to 10x in volume and felt very mushy and it was damn near impossible to comb through (IT TOOK ME 2 HOURS WITH A HEAVY CONDITIONER IN!). I ran to the store to buy anything I could to try and repair my hair, and that was my day yesterday. I have no intentions on giving Salón Teez anymore more money to try and "correct" my hair. I regret having to write a negative review, but they said they would try and correct it while I was there and did not, but stated I could always come back to correct it also, but that didn't make sense to me... lesson I learned "Know what you want before you go and do your research to find the right stylist". This experience just added to my existing fear, resistance and hesitation, but like I said, I am partially to blame. read more

However, the management has some serious issues. I should have known better when I called to make an appointment and the stylist was available the same day, with several available appointment times. I'm visiting from out of town and desperately needed a cut and foil. I can't remember the name of the girl (she couldn't have been more than 19) but her communication was very good as she asked a lot of questions. I was interested in foiling low lights to add depth to my over processed/bleached hair. However, the more we talked, it became apparent that she was new and not extremly experienced.. The owner kept looking over at us as I became more and more hesitant to have her foil my hair. I decided to forgo the color and to just have her cut my hair. Well... she took an hour and a half to cut and style my hair! (I guess, everyone is new at one time or another) I can't imagine how long she would have taken to foil it! So here is where my two star review comes in. When I went to pay, I was shocked to be charged EIGHTY dollars!!! This seems exorbenant for a new stylist!! I certainly would expect to pay a lot for a Master Designer...heck...I believe the owner only charges $20 more...and I would have been happy to pay the extra money! Talk about sticker shock! As far as the her cut goes; it was fine, but to be honest, I probably could have saved the money (and time) and just went to Super Cuts. I realize that this review sounds harsh. The fact is that if I were charged an amount that aligned with the amount of experience she appeared to have...say, $40 or so, I'd still stand by my comments. However, a lesser charge would have felt justified and I wouldn't have felt like I've been ripped off! When I made the appointment, I made the mistake of only focusing on the price of the foil and unfortunately, not the price for a haircut. Based on the reviews, I assumed that I would be in the hands of a very seasoned stylist. Again, she was VERY sweet and I have no doubt that she will excell as a stylist, and eventually, $80 for a cut will be justified. Full disclosure, I am a former hairstylist so I understand the ins and outs running a salon and the apprentiship process. I also understand that even the most seasoned hairstylist can find haircolor difficult, not to mention the amount of experience and practice it takes to become an expert. With that in mind, I really think that the owners need to reevaluate their pricing to reflect the level of experience. Particularly, for a newer, less experienced stylist! read more

I found Salon Tease through Yelp and my hair was desperate for a little TLC (split ends & dark roots). I called to book an appointment and the receptionist was really nice and got me an appointment on the day & time I wanted-Score! Casi was my hair stylist and she is super sweet! I felt bad that she had to "tame my hair", as it's really intense for a lot of people, but she did a great job! I told her exactly what I wanted and she delivered. The blonde highlights look fabulous and she got rid of all my split ends with the shortest trim possible--I really like my hair long. She was very attentive and professional and it was a very pleasant experience overall. The only suggestion I have would be if they could have bottled water and/or diet coke for customers to sip on. I absolutely love this place! I have never been in a friendlier salon and I am from TN, so I know friendly. From the ultra-sweet David at the front desk to the assistants, Roxanne and Linda everyone was so attentive! Daniel was delightful and very concerned that I was happy with my color. He even dried a small section of my hair and took me out into the sunlight, so that I could see its true color. I have never had anyone do that! He was just as concerned with getting my cut exactly right. Salon Tease is the top salon in town! David and Daniel started this up only a year or two ago and have built up a great business. I'm a wedding photographer in town, and everyone I know in the wedding business recommends Salon Tease. We know the customer service is as good as it gets. Being on time is so important and these guys and their staff are always spot on! David and Daniel spend a lot of time and energy training their staff so they can do beautiful hair and makeup on anyone. I traveled from Cincinnati, Ohio to Naples, Florida for a nice vacation. I didn't get a chance to get my hair done before I left, so I looked up some local salons. Salon Tease already had so many positive reviews so I took a chance. I'm so glad I did! My stylist was THE MASTER stylist, Sir Daniel. He gave me a cut and color with a gloss finish. I have never had my hair looking so good! It looked naturally sun kissed and was so soft and smooth! The salon was busy right off the bat on a Tuesday. Many, if not all, the clients I saw were happily returning customers. Even though it was busy, the staff worked together like a well-oiled machine helping whenever they had a spare moment so all clients were well taken care of.
