Horrible!!!! I was waaaayyyyyyy overcharged! In fact, we asked for pedicure. They hurried us over to a chair and filled it right after another customer left (without sanitizing) and we sat forever in cold water. We were then charged $85 for 2... Yes 2 pedicures!!! After reading numerous reviews on google and yelp I see this is a very common complaint they have. It's stealing in my opinion. And when I questioned them on it, they said we got a SPA pedicure when we clearly stated BASIC pedicure but held my debit card hostage and refused to adjust the amount. NOT a good way to do business. I usually go to another salon in Bellingham, but I found myself in Ferndale and decided to give this place a chance. My daughter and I were seated in the chair, we waited 25 mins until we were served, our foot bath water was barely warm at that point. The only "massage" during the whole process was during the exfoliation, which was rough gritty and painful. She then used a kitchen grater on my feet, again quickly and roughly. She actually took a chunk out of the side of my foot. I yelped and pulled my foot back, she said sorry and stuck my foot back in the water. I could feel it bleeding, she continued "grating" and went back to the spot she just injured!! I told her that it hurt and she stopped. She cut my toenails very short. She then put something on my cut,it stung and burned badly. I asked her if it was alcohol, she said no it was something to stop the bleeding. She painted my nails alright I guess... I paid my bill, and they didn't offer any sort of discount for cutting me. I have read horror stories of people getting MRSA from nail salons. I felt completely cheated paying for a service that is supposed to be pleasant and relaxing, but was anything but. Stay away from this salon. read more

First off, the guy told me pick my color and have a seat- didn't tell me the about my 20minute wait time. The gal that did my toes didn't speak hardly any English, didn't have any customer service skills at all. The "massage" was just her lightly applying lotion...she didn't tell me about the .50 cent extra fee for using a debit card. She didn't have my legs at the right angle so my feet kept sliding, and my back hurt. Their pedicure chairs are cheap. They used a NUTMEG GRATER on my feet! It was the worst pedicure I've ever had. I took my daughter in for a color change on her hands and toes. They didn't apply any basecoat or topcoat. Polish came off in one piece the same day. Don't waste your money! Also I had previously had a gel manicure there that didn't last as long as previous job manicures from other salons. read more

I brought my daughter here so we could have manicures together. Both of the technicians that took care of my daughter and I argued with us about what we wanted and they also nickel and dime you and don't have one inclusive price and it's very confusing. My daughter's technician was actually rude. The man running the place was very nice but the prices are very confusing. I won't be coming back. read more

I got my nails painted and I did not enjoy how it looked so I asked them if they would repaint them FREE OF CHARGE and they said yes then refused that upon payment, not to mention it took 4 hours for them or just paint my fingers and toes. Pedicure was awesome! They have the big comfy massage chairs and foot spa, the place is very clean and the ladies are very nice. I would definitely recommend them for a great pedicure. But I got a manicure as well, which was by far not the best I've had overall. Also, I had to pay an extra $5 for a french manicure, which isn't abnormal, but the polish they used was rather low quality and began to chip off within hours. Never had that happen before with a professional french manicure. They usually last at least a couple of days. That was incredibly disappointing and a waste of money. If you want a good pedicure, go here. But not for a manicure. read more

I have gone here several times now, 5 maybe, and every time I have got a chair right away. I always get a pedicure and they even do Shellacking for pedicures if you ask. $35. They are very nice, detailed and seem very clean. I like that it doesn't smell like harsh chemicals when you go in there, like Nail Tech in the mall does. I have always been pleased. I have noticed that they don't necessarily honor your appointment if you make one since they don't turn away walk-ins. I like to get there right as they open and haven't had issues. read more

Tommy and the rest of the gang at Saloni are the best! I have been going here since 2009 and they take excellent care of me. I walk in and they greet me by name, they know exactly what I'm there for without having to say anything. I have never had a single issue. If something isn't right, I tell them and they fix it right then and there. I've been to a number of places around Bellingham, Ferndale and Blaine for my nails and waxing and have never had better service. I found Saloni and I don't go anywhere else. I've had nails for over 17 years, and Tommy is the best. read more

Just so everyone knows, stay away from this place.... My mom went to get a pedicure here and now has a infection on her toe, after a trip to the doctors office she has been put on antibiotics. It's gross to even think about but I had to say something after I read the reviews on this place and how they don't clean the bowl in between customers. I have also had personal issues with them saying they can get me in for a manicure and 45 minutes later I am still waiting to be seated. How hard is it to clean the bowl between customers? This salon is great! It is clean and the environment is relaxing. The nail technicians do wonderful pedicures and the nail art is amazing!

I had come in to get gel nails as I do every two weeks. In the past I went to a different nail salon but my whole family came here to get our nails done. I went with one of the new chrome colours they had and it started chipping the night I got them done. The manicure I had was also awful and they only used lotion on one of my hands? When I went back in to get them redone they bruised the underneath of my nail because of the pressure they were applying to chip the rest of the product off. After I had gotten them redone, they did the exact same thing and started to crack over the entirety of my nails. So I went back in for a third time and politely asked for a refund. The manager outrightly refused and offered to redo my nails a third time, but because of how rough they were with me I did not want them to do my nails again. He also told me that I was the only person to ever have a problem and that I was too rough with my nails when the black gel underneath was fine, only the top chrome part is what kept chipping and cracking off. So, I nicely declined and asked for my refund a second time. The manager finally called the owner because apparently he couldn't refund it himself. The owner agreed to only refund 25$ when I paid 40$. I will never ever go back. Absolutely awful customer service and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. read more

I'm a regular customer, love this place and the people. Called and made an appointment ahead of time knowing this place is always busy. Arrived 5 mins early, and noticed someone was in my chair. My nail technician ask me if I have time to wait? In my mind I was like hell no!! There is a reason why I called and make an appointment because I don't have time to wait! So I left. It's just so sad that this is one of my favorite places but the only downside to it is all the walk ins and wait time.. You can see that there would be people siting and soaking their feet in the tub waiting to be worked on. They need to focus on their customers one at a time instead of saying yes to everybody who walks in. read more

They did a great job on my nails. I've been twice the first time it was busy and I had to wait 20 mins but they had me sit at a table while waiting then did a great job. The second time it was not as busy just waited 5 min and again they did a great job on my nails. It's worth the wait if you have the time. It's hard to find a place that does a good job every time.
