    Zucchini-Feta Fritters Pita
    Shreya G.

My go to Greek place! Everything I've gotten here has always been outstanding. My usual order is the spanakopita, which if you haven't had is a must. It's more is a quesadilla type thing as compared to the triangle puffs, but so delicious. I stopped in today for free pita day/ salonikis birthday and got the zucchini feta pita. All I can say is wow- it was so flavorful and fresh with all the vegetables. The sauces were so good too, and every bite was just delicious. It's usually pretty quiet (with the exception of their birthday) and has great seating options. The service is usually very good, and even today was a well oiled machine! I was in and out in 15 minutes! They also package the pitas so well, I carried mine in my tote bag to eat at home (~20 min walk). To my surprise, my pita was fully intact and looked just like it would have if I had eaten it there. Major props to their packing! I love to go here for a snack, but maybe I'll start going for a whole meal!

    Olive oil froyo

This review is for the olive oil sea salt froyo. I just really thought it would taste better and look better for the price point. Otherwise, it seemed like a nice place to get a quick bite.

I ordered the pork shoulder pita pita and the pork tasted old, just terrible, this is the first time I've had issues with the food, very disappointed. Could nor even eat it, literally threw it in the trash on the first bite.

Greek Cesar Salad with crispy chicken
    Simone P.

Happy to say I've discovered my new favorite work lunch spot! The Caesar salad is seriously delicious and the crispy chicken I added is the perfect touch, well seasoned and a great crunchy outside. The Caesar salad doesn't start too far from the tradition but also adds red onion and feta! I've also had the pita and it was very tasty as well. I will be back for sure! The staff is also very nice.

I recently went here for their 10th anniversary, where they were giving out free classic pita bread to anyone who comes in to say "happy birthday" to them. Since I was in the area, I decided to go for this..it was my first time trying their food and I had to admit their portion was huge!! The service was quick and staff was friendly. I ordered the grilled chicken pita and I had to split this up with my partner in order to finish this. The place was a bit small but decent space area for people to sit and enjoy.

I absolutely love Saloniki - you really can't go wrong when you want Greek food in Boston. This was my first time in their Downtown location (I'm a frequent Harvard Square/Fenway/Newbury St flier), and it was great as expected! I ordered the Mt. Olympus salad with a chicken skewer for myself, and my girlfriend ordered the chicken plate with brown rice. We got halloumi share. Everything was delicious though the halloumi was a little hard and sour for our liking (seemed to be lemon juice) - but still great nonetheless. The waters and drinks in the fridge were also warm, so I had to run out to the convenience store for cold waters on a hot Summer day for us, but this wasn't a huge deal. They should definitely put some outdoor seating out, that would make this an A+ in my book.

I would give the chicken souvlaki pita six stars if possible. It is one of the most delicious and satisfying food items of the year. With several locations throughout the city (I've tried three of them), Saloniki is my first choice for quick, satisfying Greek food.

I love the food here as takeout for a casual dinner night! Very flavorful and portion is not bad. Highly recommend it for a relatively healthy dinner and for convenience (multiple locations)

    Mt. Olympus Salad
    Meghan L.

I ordered Mt. Olympus salad which contains lettuce, olives, feta, tomatoes, pepperoncini, capers, cucumbers, red onion and grilled chicken. The chicken was seasoned well. It came with a red wine vinaigrette which tasted similar to Italian dressing, I added tzatziki on the side to dip my chicken in for an extra $1.50. I also added extra 4 oz of chicken for an additional $4.50. thought the salad was fresh but overall tasted like any salad, nothing special. I'll have to come back and try other items.

Premium experience, clean and most importantly good quality food. The service was quick especially for a lunch break.

We ordered two flavors: Olive Oil & Sea Salt and Caramel & Pistachio, both priced at $7. I'll admit, it's a fun concept and a nice addition to the menu. The Olive Oil & Sea Salt was refreshing and had a subtle savory touch that made it different from your typical frozen yogurt. The Caramel & Pistachio was my favorite of the two, with the crunchy pistachios adding a nice texture and the caramel giving it just enough sweetness. That said, I had a hard time justifying the price. While the frozen yogurt tasted good, the serving size was fairly small, and I never really felt like I was getting $7 worth of dessert. It felt more like an Instagram-worthy upsell than something I'd go out of my way to order again. I'm glad I tried it because I was curious after seeing so many posts online, and now I can officially check it off my list. If you're already at Saloniki and want to try something a little different, I'd say it's worth ordering once just for the experience. Overall, I'd give it 3/5 stars. It's refreshing, unique, and a fun twist on frozen yogurt, but I don't think the value matches the price. I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the frozen yogurt again.

It is located in a busy area, which made for a livelier experience. When we arrived, we eyed some outdoor seats, so we rushed inside to order food hoping they'd still be available. I was going to order one of their pre made bowls but I couldn't resist the freedom of building my own. I went with a super green and brown rice base, harissa chicken as my protein, roasted eggplant, harissa, and crazy feta for the sides, with all the toppings, and a garlic sauce. I got a side of harissa pita chips with a green dipping sauce. It is by far one of the best lunches I have had in my life! There's just so many flavors in one bowl, and everything was very fresh. The harissa chicken is very tender and flavorful. I heard that harissa chips are going away....I am willing to sign any campaign to have them stay on the menu permanently. We did end up getting the seats outside but they really do need more chairs. I'm not sure if they get relocated to other places over time, but I think there were 8 tables (2-4 people) and 4 chairs. The prices are good for the quality of food you're getting. Their drinks are unique and good as well. We mixed a couple lemonades together, which enhanced the flavors.

We were seated promptly and the vibes were really great since it was commencement weekend in Boston with several large parties celebrating the occasion. The passion martini was a great way to start the early evening dinner, followed by a dozen of their freshly-shucked oysters. We ordered a few other items: - Crispy Eggplant: definitely the highlight of the meal for us; the tempura-style fried eggplant slices with the creamy, tangy yogurt laced with something sweet (honey?), and then topped with cheese - Fattoush Salad: nice and bright, nothing too spectacular about this, but definitely a nice hit of freshness there - Beef Shish Kebab: the meat was well seasoned, although I would say the portion seemed small for the price. - Manakish: flavorful and hot, and was a great way to soak up any of the remaining sauce and dressing from the other dishes Overall, would definitely come back for the oysters and the eggplant as a light meal with drinks before a larger meal someplace else later in the evening.

I am disappointed, from the very start to the end my experience was quite bad. The kitchen did not allow a bread substitution for the sandwich we ordered, they did not do waffles at this location either, and when we got our food the portion sizes were very small. The salmon was very overpriced for how much they offered; $27 for a piece of salmon only a few inches across was insulting, but apparently that is just how it is served there (picture below, you can see the pieces of broccoli are almost as big as the fish!) The other dish we got was the chicken sandwich, which is cut into two halves. The first half was normal but there was basically no chicken on the second half of the sandwich, it was essentially all bread. We brought it up to a manager and they got us a new piece of chicken, which fit entirely alongside the old piece of chicken on the bun because it was so small. On top of that we had to wait around nearly half an hour after finishing and had to flag down a waiter to get our check and go. The service overall was very slow. I will never come back to this restaurant.
