After our attorney contacted the owner of Gerald Hyundai, we were suddenly told that an allegedly independent outside technician inspected our vehicle and determined that it now needs another new transmission. This makes no sense. Our vehicle had already spent 10 months at the dealership, and we only had it back for one day after they claimed the transmission had been replaced. Now we're being told it needs yet another transmission? It raises serious questions about what was actually done to the vehicle. Our experience has been extremely frustrating from start to finish. We received inconsistent information, poor communication, and no confidence that our vehicle was safe to drive. The most concerning part was when General Manager Mike Chino told my husband he could not state that the vehicle was safe. Looking back, that statement speaks for itself. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Gerald Hyundai's sales or service departments. If you're considering buying a vehicle or having yours serviced there, I would strongly encourage you to do your research before making that decision.

Kraig was good to tell me them over the phone the day before, but it sounded like he said it was a PCM, when in fact, it was a BCM. Wish he would've been more clear, but not a big deal. When we were walking out there, we noticed the right rear tire was flat, even though my car was towed there & was a-ok at that point. Kraig stated it must be a slow leak; wasn't like that a couple of days ago. This was a Tuesday, yet they're closed on weekends (??). In checking out the tire, he then said it was getting low in 3 hrs. Be that as it may, When I picked up the car after it was done, immediately I saw big white scratches on my rear bumper that was not there before. Went in to inform Kraig & while we were looking at it, I then noticed a smaller mark on the front bumper, which was completely repainted just a few months beforehand & was also fine when it was towed there! He tried to downplay it & said he'd get ahold of the owner. In the meantime, I received photos from the tow truck company proving it was fine upon arrival there, yet Kraig said the owner was only willing to pay for the back bumper! Thankfully I disputed the charges with the AMEX (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), so then he caved in & paid for both bumpers. I later found out they will actually use a quad runner ATV to push in and out cars if necessary!! The tire was suspicious since it happened well into their possession, but I let it go since I wanted nothing else than to move on & put this behind us. If all this wasn't enough, they didn't even have the courtesy to use a paper floor mat, so my car was rather filthy especially on the driver side. Unless you want your car treated like this folks, there are places very close by (Ewerts Automotive, Art's automotive) that treat their customer's cars with more respect & are much more reasonable. Low integrity automotive charges approx $185/hr, which is comparable to dealers!!

Integrity asked us to bring it in immediately. Upon inspection, the car had blown a gasket. Integrity is fixing this for us for free today. After all that we've been through this week with my daughter being in a car accident and the secondary emergency for a pre-existing condition, I cannot emphasize what a blessing this is. Mentally, financially, and so on. Stuck in a hard place not knowing if i wanted to pursue this platform anymore i reached out to teter. We chatted, set a game plan within my budget, and he delivered!!! He made the whole situation easy, made deadlines, kept me up to date (rare in the business) answered all my dumb questions and got me back on the road timely. He is the new standard in the Subaru community that is building a reputation fast. He has motors going all across the country, big named shops he's building motors for them. Also after a year Teter came to my house to view the health of the motor on his own time, gave it a blessing and said "send it" haha. I have full confidence in this motor, build quality, and reliability, and for the unfortunate event I push it to far I know he will back his product and get me back on the road. He has had nothing but issues with the truck since day 1 of bringing it home and continues to have problems. We were told when we purchased the vehicle that if he ever needed parts for the vehicle, he could buy them from this place at cost. When he did need parts, he tried calling and was told they never sold him this vehicle. Fast forward 9 months later on March 28, 2026. We went back (hesitantly) to purchase a vehicle for our son. The truck we purchased for him seemed to be in great condition for a 2016 and figured since it was 6 years newer than the car we bought for our nephew, we may have better luck this time around. Jokes on me... You know what they say, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". I should have listened to my instincts. Within HOURS of bringing the truck home, the check engine light came on and had multiple codes relating to battery issues, transmission issues, etc. I spoke with Nick's wife on 4/13/26 relaying the information we found out and was told she would get back to me. She never did. Instead, she spoke with my husband and told him she would send him the information we could send the photos of the codes to so she can look into it. He never got that information either. Now, as of 4/23/26, I had to call them for an update on the codes I verbally told Nick's wife about on the phone on 4/13/26. Nick said he was waiting for my husband to get back to him and never heard from him. I explained the conversation my husband told me and he said he never said that to my husband and provided me with an email to send the photos of the codes to. This call was initiated due to the alternator going out on this truck already. I understand there will always be a risk with purchasing a used vehicle, but not this many issues within a month of purchase, more or less hours. I will be emailing Nick the photos but am not hopeful for a resolution based off other reviews regarding this company. I have a feeling this place is clearing codes in order to scam people into buying a vehicle from them and then acting like they didn't know anything about it when mentioned to them. Update as of 5/14/26; when we purchased my son's vehicle, we mentioned 2 repairs that needed to be done. The first one was the motor for the seat didn't work and the second was a backup sensor that needed to be repaired. To this day, the sensor has yet to be replaced or even looked at due to the fact that they apparently don't have a service technician available on Saturdays, which happens to be the only time my husband and I are off work to take this in. I picked up the motor for the seat yesterday and upon pickup, I was told by their mechanic the motor that was given to me was pulled off another Ford. They couldn't even be bothered to order a new part for the vehicle they sold us even though we were told a new motor would be ordered and we had to wait for the part to come in and then to top it off, when I expressed concerns to Nick's wife about the vehicle since the day purchased, she claimed she had no idea and wasn't aware of the issues even though she is the person I originally mentioned them to. Furthermore, with the concerns relating to the bad alternator; we had this rebuilt by a local company and upon their inspection we were told "whoever rebuilt the alternator last time did a sloppy job. A screw from the internal voltage regulator was lodged into the stator which is what caused all the problems". How a faulty alternator was not caught by their mechanic when inspecting the vehicle prior to selling is beyond me. These people are lazy scam artists! I said it before and I will say it again, buyers beware!!! Avoid this place at all costs!!!
