Owner was contacted and stated that he doesnt have time to jump through hoops for me. At this point all I wanted was my money and original parts back, but recieve nothing but attitude from the owner. I have shared my story around the Mendota and Earlville areas and was very surprised to learn how many people have had similar experiences with getting attitude from the owner and him telling them that he is busy and will contact them back but he never does!! How this place can stay in business is beyond me!! I will be contacting him for the last time today and if he refuses my money and keeps my original parts I will go straight to the attorneys office. Pretty bad to have to take someone to small claims court over such a low-dollar item, but someone has to prove a point to this guy!!

Upon arrival and test drive, we discovered that not only was there a vibration in the steering, the reverse camera that was listed as a feature on the vehicle was not functional. Not only did Schimmer not offer to deduct the cost of the repair of the camera from the selling price, they refused to do so even after I offered to still buy the car - minus the cost of the camera. We drove 500 miles round trip in the rain for nothing. Needless to say, it was not a Happy New Year. Thanks for nothing, Schimmer. You guys suck!

My family has bought cars from Schimmers for years, however, with the most resent run in with their…read moreservicing department, my family will take our business elsewhere. They had my car for numerous days, set unrealistic expectations, missed a huge issue, my check engine light came in the day after it was serviced on a long trip. After telling them about the issue they missed, they were going to "make it right" and they have stopped returning our phone calls. They have now missed out on an entire family taking our business there for the next 30 years or so. If you're local go somewhere else, dealing with there servicing department alone is not worth it.
