Advice to those that visit this establishment, go after 5 pm. They do not have a lunch menu, so you have to order from their regular dinner menu, BUT pasta dishes before 5 pm do not include salad or garlic knots----SAME PRICE, just no knots or salad. I asked if the price was lowered because that wasn't included like on weekends and in the evening and was told NO. Doesn't make sense that you are charged the same amount and get less before 5 pm. The food is ok, but now with this ridiculous pricing I will be taking my business elsewhere. Hasta la vista SAL. Ordered: Small order of calamari---nothing memorable--overly fried and bland. Eggplant rollatine with ziti----good for Paulding County. Baked ziti with sausage---sausage was brought out in a separate plate---slivered sausage----I was not happy!!!! My boyfriend and I went in to eat and once we were done we went to pay but once they saw we were paying with one of their giftcards they refused to let us pay with it. They accused us of forging it and after my father came in and talked to them they finally took it and their excuse for accusing us is it's because we're "young". The pizza is very good. We have ordered from here twice. I recommend the cheese pizza. The slices are extra big with the perfect amount of sauce and perfectly seasoned. Tonight we tried the garlic knots and we were unfortunately disappointed. I called and talked to manager Sam and he assured me that it would be taken care of. They were honestly unedible. I believe the dough was past it's prime. We definitely plan on ordering again, next time we will just stick to pizza. read more

I ordered food here almost every week for the last 6 months or so. It used to be great pizza that would arrive super quick. In the past month the food and service has gone completely downhill. The food ALWAYS arrives late (usually an hour 20 minutes on a random weekday when I am about 4 miles away) when I am given a time of 45 minutes. The food then arrives completely cold, inedible, and is just horrible quality and there is always something left off my order, usually just a side of ranch or a drink so I let this slide a few times. But recently I was given the completely wrong order and these things add up. After waiting again with the food being late on my most recent order, I called and asked them to just make sure if the order was going to take longer to please have the food hot. Of course the food arrived once again cold and inedible. I called and spoke to the manager, Chris, and he agreed to give me a refund after seeing I was spending about $200 a MONTH there. He took my credit card information down and told me to call back to ensure the return went through. I even made sure to ask that the delivery driver still got their tip and to only give me the return for the food. After waiting and receiving no return, I called back and spoke to the owner Sal, who was truly the most dismissive and rudest person I have EVER interacted with in customer service. He refused to acknowledge my complaint(S) or honor the refund, would not let me speak to Chris, and would not explain why when I was GUARANTEED a refund it was now not given. No one even called me to inform me that all of a sudden my refund was not going to happen. I feel completely lied to by the manager Chris, and I was so disrespected by the owner. I am currently disputing the charges with my bank. I truly cannot believe the horrible experience with the food quality and the OWNER refusing to offer any decent customer service, or even any basic human decency to me. I run a small business near this store and was planning on using to them for upcoming events. Now, I will never ever order or dine here again. With terrible food, a horrible owner, and a lying manager, I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

Loved the pizza but the staff and the manager were so rude. I used to go there so much until one day I went in and they would not accept my gift card because they thought it was a fake just because I'm "young and untrustworthy" (19y/o) I had to get my father to come in to settle things and then they finally took my gift card, now every time I go in there they act as if I'm going to rip them off. Made an order for delivery and they apparently delivered to wrong address and then call me almost an hour later to tell me to and get my food from someone I don't know! When they said that I said just give me money back and then got hung up on! Called back and spoke with the so called owner and was like what do you want me to do I said give me back money! Then he said why not go next door and get the food as I know it hot. It has been almost an hour so that was a huge lie! Called before and had a hard time getting anyone on the phone but when i finally did, the pizza was pretty good. However, there have been two separate occasions when I called for over 3 hours... Usually between the hours of 12 noon to 4pm and received No answer after each call rang for a full minute! When I first moved to Dallas, Sals was the place I always ordered from. I don't know if it's under new management, but the kids that seem to run this place have no business running a restaurant. They are rude, can't answer simple questions about the restaurant, and can't get an order right. They also seem to decide on a day to day basis whether they are going to deliver to you. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Capos in Acworth is a longer drive, but the service and food make it worth the drive. read more

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I usually order the same thing from Sal's all the time. My husband gets a Chicken Calzone and I always get the Greek Calzone. Tonight we were contemplating between Calzones or Dominos. So we chose Sal's and I really shouldn't have. So I called and ordered our usual and added spinach to mine. I also wanted wings but the young lady on the phone told me they were out so that was the first disappointment. The food was delivered in like 25 min and it usually takes almost an hour. When I opened the box the Calzones were half the size then usual, they were very small. My husbands was way smaller than mine. He bit into his and the dough was undercooked. My Calzone was missing the onions, olives and peppers and there was barely any spinach inside. I called them 6 times no answer! My husband had to put his in the oven to finish cooking the dough. This is why the food was delivered so fast because they rushed the order!! I don't mind my food taking long, especially if I'm gonna enjoy it. I am very upset and will be calling first thing morning to see how they will accommodate us. So sad because I love the Greek Calzone read more

First off I am writing this review based on the service I received and not the quality of the food exactly ; Which, to me service is as much of importance as the food itself. The other day I sent my son-in-law to get food I had ordered and what he came back with was a mess. I had ordered chicken fingers for my granddaughter which came with fries and by the time the Styrofoam box with no aluminum protection came home, the heat had burned a giant whole in the top exposing the food to dangerous toxins. I also ordered my daughter the manicotti, which was put in the correct container but had been smashed down by other food and all the cheese was stuck to the top of the lid. The bruschetta had the same fate. This angered me that such neglect had been taken on my order after I had spent $68.00 total on various other's foods there including 2 specialty pizzas and two orders of cannolis to name a few. I called Sal's to talk to the manger who was named Nancy and she quickly went into defense mode until I snapped back and told her about the various dangers of not properly wrapping food in Styrofoam containers. I also mentioned the smashed manicotti and told her how disappointed I was that the service performed by her restaurant had failed me. After much contemplation, she told me that she would give me my money back, so I sent my son-in-law to go back the restaurant for a refund. When my son-in-law arrived she quickly started pointing the finger at him and blaming him for the food arriving to my house in the condition it did. The biggest upset of the night is that she actually blamed him for not going into her kitchen when the food was finished and getting it off the stove. I am NOT joking about that fact at all. My son-in-law quickly said "wait you want me to get the food out of your kitchen and I do not even work here!?" He was the bigger person about the situation and said nothing more and got the refund I deserved. I do not suggest you go here if you do not like being treated as a nobody. They recently had some changes and the food is better. Love the pizza and garlic knots (loaded with lots of garlic), I've had 3 or 4 different subs/heros and they were all excellent. The wings and fries are good too. The calzone was good but I think it would be much better if they brushed it with the butter and garlic like they do the bread knots I haven't had the pasta dishes so I can't rate those. Their waitress is a delight. She's friendly and makes sure your drinks stay filled. Only down side is she's the only waitress so when they are busy people need to be more patient. My first time providing a review but I have to in this case. A total waste of money and time.. I ordered a pepperoni pizza which had very little cheese and sauce. Actually, I dont think it had any sauce. The gyro was very skimpy with little to no lamb. The wings were big but tasteless. Don't waste your time here. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. I make it a point to support small businesses. I think I will pass on Sal's if we are ever in the mood for pizza again. IF we are ever in the mood. The garlic knots were cold, little rocks just tossed on the table. Having multiple teeny boppers come to the table was annoying, Ladies please learn to communicate.Trying to find out if there was MSG in the sauce was a HUGE deal, the "cook" said he was too busy to look on the CANS. Really? I should have left at that point but didn't. 45 minutes we waited for 3 personal sized pizzas. The drinks were packed with ice, and became watery fast, we were not asked if we needed more. The pizza was FAR from great, and my spinach pizza SADLY had frozen spinach on it. Who uses frozen spinach on a hand thrown pizza? My conclusion, while it may be a small business, it's a "box shop". I called this location to place an order for delivery. After placing my order and giving them my address, I realized this location wasn't the one that delivers to my house. They did not inform me of that. I had to call back to tell them. They told me they would refund my card. I then received a call from them telling me they needed my card number. When I called back, a young man spoke with me and honestly didn't seem to understand what he was doing. I had to give him my card number four times, each time he repeated it out loud in front of customers. When he finally got the number right, he ended up charging me again for the same order. He seemed frustrated.. Someone else finally got on the line with me (manager maybe) and took care of it. However, when I asked him when I could expect to see the refund for both charges, he had no idea how to answer that question. I am giving this restaurant one star based on my experience with their customer service. Unfortunately, I can't review their quality of food, as we didn't even get to that point. Seriously...... Took an hour and half to get my order... WAS so excited when it finally showed up. Well that was short lived as my order was ice cold. Called to find out if they could just send me another pizza or something and GUESS WHAT........ Was told by the manager NOPE not gonna happen, either eat it and not worry about calling back or we can call our driver and have him come back and pick up the pizza and we'll give you a refund and NOT to call back. WELL at that point of course why on earth would I order food to not enjoy it? The driver came back I gave him the box with the ice cold pizza in it and he took off. NOW I can only say this... I TRUELY hope the driver does not take the blame on this as he was friendly and easy to deal with.
