I have gone back a couple times recently and the experience was better. Not perfect, but better. Had the mussels as an appetizer, not bad, but not wow either. Shrimp Parm was my main meal and it was good. Best part of the meal was the cannoli. Would like to have it with an espresso or cappuccino, but they only have coffee. Service was slow, especially when it came time to pay the bill. Waited and waited for them to settle the check. On a side note, they were changing out their tables and it was very noisy during the lunch hour. It's going to take awhile for this restaurant to get its act together. When I walked in for lunch, I was definitely surprised by the size of the restaurant. They can definitely accommodate all party sizes. I decided to try their chicken parm with a side of sautéed spinach. They were both really good. Also, while you're waiting for your food, they give you complementary fresh garlic bread, which was also very good. Since the food was so good. I wanted to give their soup of the day a try, pasta fagioli, so I ordered that for takeout (I'm sure it will be great). My waitress, Maggie, was excellent as well! read more

Another great meal at LoRusso's Italian Restaurant! Ordered bone in wings. They were 100% chicken with no coating.Delicious! Next was their amazing pizza. Best in the valley. Had the Mozarella salad with tuna ,vegetables and fruit. Very tasty. For the finally I had the Tartufo which is awesome. Claire did a great job as our server. The most intrinsic value that money cannot buy is the warmth and caring of the owners.They make you feel like family! The secret is out. The restaurant is FABULOUS! Brand new to the Easton food scene is LoRusso's Italian restaurant on Van Buren Rd. Our food was authentically Italian and just delicious From start to finish The service was like a breath of fresh air, we were treated like family, like we really mattered and the place was packed. The staff works HARD. Second servings of bread were brought without question. Drinks refilled before they were even finished. Thank you Charlotte. What great family owned operated edition to our local food scene. We had an 85th birthday party there for 11 people and we started out with the fresh garlic bread and which is the best bread I've ever eaten! The appetizers are amazing calamari, stuffed mushrooms with crab , and some amazing soups! The meals are gigantic and be careful not too eat too many appetizers before your dinner comes because you won't be able to finish it! The staff and the owner go above and beyond there! Make a reservation as they are packed on a Saturday night. With good reason. The food is phenomenal. Very reminiscent of our trip to Italy. Not just American Italian pasta and sauce. There were very few people there at the time we were (a random Wednesday early evening) but it was incredibly loud. There was 1 large party, maybe 8 or 10 adults and they were having a good time, they weren't being overly noisy at all but the room is very echoing. The first 2 visits were fantastic. Servers were attentive, good came out promptly, and was hot and tasty. Not sure what happened when we went back with friends. We sat for 15+ minutes and no one waited on us, no water, just menues. We watched tables seated after us getting their appetizers or salads. Finally went to the hostess stand and asked if we had a server. Eventually we were given water and our orders were taken. But we felt forgotten for the rest of the evening. My boyfriend and I came out for Valentine's Day. The parking lot is insane it's like a whole loop and barely any spaces. Secondly the food was not my favorite for sure. The bread came soaked in oil and garlic. They also were spicy for some reason. I ordered a shrimp scampi and he ordered spaghetti meatball. The shrimp was mushy still had tail on, the sauce was very sour and sopping wet. His spaghetti had way too many tomatoes and he complained about the blandness of it. We've been twice and both times were OUTSTANDING! The owners are hands on and provide superior customer service which many restaurants are lacking. My wife and I decided to try this new Italian restaurant (BYOB) that opened 10 days ago. We could not be more pleased about the experience. The menu is very inclusive with pasta dishes including seafood, chicken, eggplant etc [restaurant looking to hire a pizza chef]. The restaurant also offers a variety of cheese stacks and wings. The owners and servers were very cordial. My preference is to rate a restaurant based upon their eggplant parmigiana. It was spectacular. My wife had chicken francase which was equally good. Finally, the Lehigh Valley has an Italian restaurant that matches the quality of A Taste of Italy in Hellertown. The main room is spacious and clean in all respects. We stopped at LoRussos today for lunch. I asked if we could order from the Dinner menu and was informed that only the Lunch menu was available, so we ordered off of their Lunch menu. We asked if salads were included with the meal and were informed that they were not. We ordered Calamari, Lasagna, and a Chicken with Pasta. About 5 or so minutes later we were informed by our server that she was in error and salads were indeed included with lunch on weekends, we both included salads at that point. This was the third time we dined here, the first two times our food was excellent, this visit the chicken and pasta were way over cooked, the lasagna tasted mediocre, the calamari was very good . Now for the fun part, on our check she charged us the prices from the Dinner menu when we were previously informed that the Dinner menu was not available. When brought to their attention they refused to budge claiming since we had the salads they had to charge Dinner menu prices. The server CLEARLY said they were included with lunch on weekends. We paid the bill and left clearly feeling like we were ripped off. Needless to say we will not be returning which is too bad because we dine out several times a week and had high hopes that there would be a good Italian restaurant close to us.
