My girlfriend invited me to try Salsa & Beer for the first time, and honestly, I get why this place is so popular. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt alive. The decor filled with old black and white photos, the energy of the restaurant, and even having two full bars gave the place a fun, authentic vibe that instantly stood out. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. I ordered the carne asada with shrimp, and the flavor was incredible perfectly grilled with that smoky, straight off the grill taste that you hope for but rarely get. My girlfriend ordered the beef taquitos and loved them. We both had margaritas. I went with the classic on the rocks with salt, and she had the strawberry margarita, which was equally great. What really shocked us was how FAST the food came out. I kid you not... warp speed. Usually when food comes out that quick, quality suffers not here. Everything was fresh, hot, flavorful, and plated perfectly. Arrived Saturday around 2:15. And there was a line to get the parking lot ! Say what ???? Well I jumped out and put our name in. I was told 25 mins, went back to the car and we waited about 15 mins and got a spot. No problem. And by then, our table was ready. I have not been back to this location in about 8-9 years. Noticed they have an outside area. Service was very good. We had a group of 5. Got the margarita, blend of mango and peach! On the rocks. Very good. Shrimp fajitas. Big portions, couldn't finish. decided to stop at salsa and beer in Sunday afternoon. Keep in mind parking is crazy previously this location have two parking lots you can use but from the looks of it now one of the lots is shared with the other business . Have to wait approx : 20 min to park in main lot. Husband and I ordered chicken and asada Burrito like always this time both salsas was a bit more spicy than usual . During the restaurant I started to feel nauseous I ate 1/2 my burrito took the rest home . I usually have a high tolerance with spicy salsa . the sour cream helped the spicy flavor tone down a bit for my spouse . When we both arrived home we started to have really bad stomach pain , for my self I threw up arriving home . I'm not sure if it could have been the salsa being spicy or the spices used in the salsa . Will definitely be in a look out next time and notify our servers salsas taste was off .. read more

Its a popular place so parking and even the waiting time is notoriously obnoxious. Large salsa bar with large portions. I did order take out and everyone was friendly and helpful. Its a darker and louder vibe so maybe not the best first date night kinda night. read more

I could not believe how packed this place was. Although it was extremely crowded, the service was fast and efficient and catered to my needs perfectly! Unfortunately I came here after a long road trip and was trying to get in and out as quickly as possible. I would love to come back here and spend some time at the bar and enjoying the crowd! This is a go to place at my work when there's a special occasion and lunch is being bought for us. I remember one time we tried ordering from somewhere new around Christmas, but they were closed, but Salsa & Beer came to the rescue. Not only were they open, but the food was prepared quickly and there was so much of it that we had a proper holiday feast. First of all, the portions by themselves are big, like I always end up taking half of what I ordered home. Secondly, on top of the main dishes, they give us bags and bags of chips and a bunch of extra rolled tortillas wrapped in foil. Lastly, everything just tastes good. I work down the street from here, and I usually visit once a month because coming weekly might break my bank, as it's kinda pricey. Today, I ordered my favorite, a Spicy Green Burrito with chicken to go, and as always, it was delicious. They're always busy, so I recommend calling in your order, and parking can be tough too. The ambiance is always great, with dim lights and good music. The portions here are always large and well worth the price. The simple things that makes you happy. We actually found parking in the lot in the back....lol.... This place regardless whenever you come is alway pretty packed. Saturday early afternoon we stopped by to meet some friends for lunch. Like mentioned we actually got parking in the back which was amazing. Entrees, my usual the Guadalajara fajitas. A combination of steak, chicken and shrimp with grilled veggies and drizzled with the spicy chipotle sauce. That comes with rice and beans and tortillas. It's a must and the portions is pretty big. Good for sharing. Everything comes out piping hot and sizzling. Other dishes had was the steak burrito which is the size of your arm. It's massive and comes with rice and beans as well. A combination plate with enchiladas and taco and the enchiladas plate. Everything pretty much comes with rice and beans. Food is alway excellent. The salsa bar is great with a load of sauces to choose from. Depending on your spice level, there's pretty much a good selection. Chips and dips is bottomless but don't overdo it. Better enjoy your food. Price wise is good. For the amount of food you get, it's worth it. There's a full bar on hand. By the time we left, there was a line both for dining and the parking lot. What a great way to spend my rainy day. Came here for dinner to celebrate my cousins birthday & the food did not disappoint. The bean dip & fresh tortilla chips are an automatic A+. Has a little kick too that I enjoyed. I ordered a raspberry frozen margarita & it was amazing. Strong enough but the tequila wasn't overwhelming & it tasted good as well. I finished it faster than I thought I would. For food I ordered one of the combo plates. It was 2 beef flautas, 2 chicken cream enchiladas, rice, beans & guacamole. Delicious & HUGE portions. Just when we thought we had found the best Mexican food around, we found Salsa & Beer! Now we have officially found the best Mexican food around. The parking lot is a bit tough to maneuver in and out of due to small spaces and a narrow exit, but there is street parking as well. We were greeted and seated quickly to a spacious booth in the back. Our waitress was friendly and arrived with bean dip and chips. There is a salsa bar with a variety of salsas that range from mild to very spicy, all fresh and delicious. We love a good jalapeño margarita and these were top notch and so very delicious! We already want another one. Our lunch was fresh, very flavorful and the serving was more than enough and left us with plenty to take home. Came on a Wednesday and was still lively and busy. First time coming and the bean dip blew me away!! Probably the best bean dip I've ever had it was flavorful and spicy. If you read my reviews you'll know I don't go handing out 5 stars all willy nilly, however I have never had a bad experience here. The service is great and the food is always fast. They have several locations but this is the only one I've been to. There's multiple TVs near the bar areas, usually playing sports. Never heard any music jn there nor is it really loud. It's a little dark and divey on the inside, with lots of smoke from all the sizzling fajita plates being brought to tables. Items I personally recommend: The taquitos: they're not dry liked you'd get at most places, great flavor (I like to get mine with a side of the cream sauce which is similar to queso) The carnitas: HUGE portion, well seasoned and juicy Burritos: they're gigantic Bean dip: this automatically comes to the table with warm chips. It's thick, well seasoned and has a little spice. It's the same dip that comes on the plate with rice. The margaritas: I prefer mine in the rocks with no salt. You don't need more than 2 cuz those babies will sneak up on you You'll always leave with leftovers. Come before dark to avoid the line for parking, the line gets long because the lot is small so you may be waiting a bit for parking. If you're not alone, go get your name on the list first while waiting for parking. If you want to avoid waiting or issues with parking go closer to closing. It will be quiet and quick. A long time ago we tried this place and it was really good, but we forgot where it was. Fortunately we found it again this week and the food is still amazing. We love love love the beans they serve with the chips at the beginning of the meal. The portions are ginormous and the quality is mom approved. Salsa & Beer is one of my favorite Mexican food spots. They have a couple locations in the valley. This location is always very busy, typically have to wait to find a parking spot, but it goes pretty fast and even though they are super busy, they get you seated pretty fast normally as the place is really big with indoor seating as well as a large patio area. This location also has two bars you can grab drinks at while waiting, nice to be able to relax with a cold beer while waiting and catch the game or just hang with friends or family. The salsa here is excellent, my favorite is the Orange Habanero salsa, can't get enough of it, nice heat, but also tastes so good. They serve you unlimited chips and salsa and bean dip, can't fill up on just those while waiting for your food. Speaking of the food, they are very generous with the portions her, so come hungry and you will probably have plenty to take home as well. Pro tip: make sure you bring cash, otherwise they charge you a fee to use a credit card, I think it is 3.5%, could be more these days, but save the extra money and pay cash. You can't go wrong with anything here, have gotten so many things and loved them. Tonight we ordered steak fajitas, asada burrito, asada burrito molcajete burrito steak and shrimp tacos. Everything was amazing and we have food for a couple more days I'm sure. A family of 4 will cost over $100, if you get drinks, could be well past. Which "Good" falls right between ... Parking sucked. Sucks. If you know the location, if it's busy, the private lot in back gets so backed up that traffic backs up onto Sherman. I witnessed this coming and going. I parked down at the Home Depot and walked over. And prayed that the group of homeless didn't mess with my car. They didn't. Service was great. I mentioned that I tried to share my thoughts of this place a few times - that's because I was here on Cinco de Mayo with friends. So, know it was packed and there definitely was a wait to get seated. Yet, the team took care of the party like rockstars. No issues with any orders as we were watching a game as well so we lingered. But we kept ordering yet nothing was botched and drinks were refilled without even having to ask. And the food was good. See pics. Served fresh and hot. I say it was good but not mind blowing. Starting from the ambiance, very chill place . Makes you feel like you're eating in someone's home in Mexico. The staff is friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Now the food, I've eaten in A LOT of Mexican Restaurants and it's hard to find a place that has food that stands out but this place did it for me. Maybe it's the specific dish I got but I hadn't had an enchilada this good in a long time. I don't live near this area so I can't say I'll be coming often but will definitely be back when I can. The meat was soft and the sauce was perfect. The serving portions are also very big so the price you pay is not bad when you see the amount of food they give. The Guadalajara fajitas have almost doubled in price, which honestly makes me wonder if that's why it wasn't as busy as it normally would be on a Friday during lunch hour. Also weird that the menus have holes on the prices? So I didn't realize the fajitas doubled until they brought the check. We noticed they forgot to include the steak in our fajitas, but the waitress fixed it once we pointed it out. Service overall felt a bit distant though. She didn't check in with us very often. Visited this past Thursday, upon arrival, the ambiance here is a busy pace, loud, tv displays surrounding the bar areas, it's pretty dimmed inside decorated internally with a ranch-style vibe. We decided to sit by the bar as it was extremely packed and waiting for a table was not going to happen as more and more people kept coming in through the door. Lucky us, we opted to sit at one of their two bars, that's right, they have two bars inside split in the middle, I think this is very unique. The benefits of sitting by the bar are obtaining quicker service and getting your drinks out faster. They also serve bean dip with chips while you decide to eat there or not. We decided to share a plate and went with the beef flautas, it was a huge portion served with a generous side of rice and beans. The flautas were long and thick and stuffed well. The rice and beans were delicious as well. I'd give it a 5/5. This was more than enough to satisfy our hungry bellies. We happened to be in the neighborhood today so decided to stop by. We will not be coming back. 1. High prices 2. Slow service 3. Low quality ingredients 4. Loud and smokey It took 40 mins for our 2 plates to be delivered The portions were generous and the rice and beans good,but the prices have almost doubled. $25 for enchilada plate $30 for fajita plate.
