Good concept, the toppings were fresh and the staff were professional. I like the choices or beverages. The dining area was sparse and needed some attention. If the meat fillings weren't cold it would have been a very good meal, at least Taco Bell's "food" is hot when served. If I'm in the area I will try it one more time, I hope there is improvement. read more

This is more of American style Mexican food. It's convenient and satisfying but nothing fancy or out of the ordinary here. It reminds me of a Qdoba. Prices are reasonable and food portions are decent. They have a few types of meats. To drink they have Jarritos, Mexican Cola, Aguas Frescas and a soda machine. They have rice bowls, salad bowls, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos. We had a rice bowl and 2 taco kids meal. Everything was fresh and adequate tasting. The employees were very attentive. Not much to add in regards to ambience, just a regular fast food table seating. I didn't notice any decor. read more

Pulled up to this spot since I was across the street getting Cookie Crmbl. When I walked in, the seating reminded me of one of those highway rest stops. I ordered two tacos to go. You go along the bar to customize your taco with toppings, to your liking. I was a bit disappointed they use flour soft shell and not corn but decided to try it anyway. TL;DR - worth a repeat visit. Ordered the Mexicali Blue burrito, with the side of chips and salsa. The burrito was pretty good. Above mix of their rice, green chili salsa, beans, cheese and chicken. Rice has a nice, earthy flavor. Was surprised it tasted good. Also wasn't too salty. Chicken was ok, not super flavorful, and it maybe could have had a little bit more chicken. They def added in a bit of rice so it passed the weight test... but i did like the rice.... The chips and salsa on the side...meh..the salsa has zero taste to it. Like some canned tomatoes puréed mainly. It is a definetly better than Moe's was... Moe's was way too salty and generally their food got worse over time. Compared to Senior Salsa..? I think it's a step below. SS has much better flavor overall. But the wait there can be long... For a chain it's OK, and fine for a quick fix of Mexican in northern remotes of Fairfield should you be too lazy to drive into town. read more

I really was not impressed with this place. Came in for lunch on a Saturday at 1pm. I ordered a bowl with lettuce, brown rice, chicken breast and black beans. Really not very flavorful. My son ordered a bowl with rice and chicken as well and they maybe put 1/2 a cup of Mexican rice in the bottom. It was $9+ for such a small amount of food. The women behind the counter couldn't hear what I was ordering and rushed us through the line even though it wasn't busy and we weren't done adding toppings. I wouldn't come back as señor Salsa on the other side of town is much better! read more

This is a decent option for quick take out with some healthier choices. I wish they provided the nutritional information on their website because it is a chain. I will stick with Senor Salsa (love their salsa bar with so many options and fresher ingredients), but if you are on black rock, this is an okay spot. read more

The food is fantastic! I ordered a bowl with brown rice, black beans, bacon, grilled chicken, queso, mild salsa, jalapeños, and chipotle aioli. It comes with free chips and salsa. The rice was cooked to perfection and the beans had a wonderful flavor. The bacon with the chicken and queso was a great combo! The mild salsa matched with the jalapeños and finished with the Chipotle aioli really brought all the flavors together. I tried the Organic sweet tea and mixed it with the lemonade and it was a perfect fit with the meal! I'll be back for sure! Gotta try the taco bowl next time, the looked delish! read more

I'll give this place two stars for the look and atmosphere; that is all if your looking for a upscale chipotle you have found your SPOT! Service is like any other teenager atmosphere; when prompted by the app that my order was ready for pickup I was not even greeted with a hello just a look of why are you here on a Sunday afternoon. When given my name of order the young lady was more occupied with tipping out her co worker then informing me that my order wasn't even started! So I witness her quickly with no care to the order which she end up messing up and of course I wasn't going to drive back to deal with the matter cause honestly what would that resolve? Just put the order together in such a rush with the place being completely empty I might add that it's no wonder she couldn't care less. Then I ask on a nice manner " Is the order even ready " again with the look of disgust she looks and says " No " honestly for the price I'm better off making my own burrito and taco at home. I was so excited for this place to open and it was disappointing to say the least. They are suuuuuper stingy with ingredients. I got nachos and they put a scant single spoon of queso and when I asked if that's really all that came on nachos a manager came by and was like, "YES, only ONE" and held her finger up at me. And when putting meat on the two dishes I ordered they were using the tongs like tweezers to get teeny tiny amounts of meat. And the chips were like Russian roulette, some were floppy and undercooked and some were good. I'm super bummed since there aren't any other options like that nearby. The flavor of the achiote pork is good and something different from what competitors offer, but it's not enough to get me to come back given all the other problems and the general aggravation of feeling like you didn't get much for your money. read more

I love this company and I've tried their New Haven location and West Hartford hundreds of times since I live in that area. Tonight I tried the Fairfield location since I was in town and I am beyond disappointed. I bought two chicken bowls and the portions are nothing compared to New Haven and West Hartford. The guy put a sprinkle of cheese so I asked for a bit more and he charged me for extra even though I didn't say extra. I'm beyond disappointed and will not be returning to this location. Time to go buy more food since it took me literally 5 bites to eat the bowl. read more
