Venezuelan option in midtown St. Louis. Plantain girl is super kind. It is easy and works when you want to dine in and hang out but also don't have an extended amount of time. You order at the counter and food comes out soon. They have fresh juice options. An order of Yuca or shoestring fries is a must for the table to pair with your sandwich or bowl. Plenty of sitting and the food is fabulous.

Tried this place Thursday night prior to a show. Didn't even know this place existed but my friend found it! Food was delicious, I ordered a beef empanada, tje pernil bowl and a passion fruit margarita. All the food was delicious! Service was great too! Everyone at the restaurant was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant's decor was cute and homey. It was not a lot of bells and whistles, which was nice! Will def visit again!

Finally made it to Salsa Rosada, which has been on my list since it openedl! I love Mayo Ketchup so had high hopes for Salsa Rosada and it did not disappoint. You order at the counter then take a seat and they bring the food out. I had the vegan chicharron de pollo which is chicken-fried oyster mushroom with rice, beans, and maduros. It was all amazing and the chicharron was like nothing I've had before. I also ordered the guava and cheese tequeño which was to die for. Portion size was great, I had leftovers to take home. The inside can get a bit noisy, but we were able to find a quiet spot.

In town for work and me and couple crew guys came upon Salsa Rosada. First off everyone who worked there was very friendly. And the food was outstanding! I had the shredded flank steak with black beans and rice. So good! If I was here for another day I would for sure go back for the Kan Kan. Amazing spot!

Staff was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Parking was surprisingly easy to find directly in front of the restaurant on a weekday night. They also offer $5 off your order if you need to park in the SLU garage. I love that they offer of mix of dishes from Mayo Ketchup but have also introduced a variety of fun and exciting new items, which of course I had to try! The Bunuelos were a soft, pillowy delight. I could eat these all day! The arepas were packed full while still presented beautifully. Crispy soft goodness! Patacone (Plantain sandwiches) was delicious and a generous portion size as always. Next time I need to try the appetizer sampler platter, it looks to literally be a little bit of everything

First time here. I tried their Venezuelan hotdogs which was beef hotdog loaded with shoestring fries, cabbage, mayo, ketchup. It was interessanté. Coconut Sangria doesn't have any alcohol in it, or maybe there was a hint of it. Yuca fries were good. Service was fast. Overall it is just OK food. Looks like this place is South-North American fusion, not fully authentic. I may come back to try their Empanadas - hopefully they are authentic.

Been to Mayo Ketchup and received an email for a brunch buffet at Salsa Rosada. They had unlimited mimosas but it was the day after Mardi Gras so we weren't drinking. The brunch consisted of foods from 5 different Latin American countries. The food was very good. Lots of dishes we've never tried before. It would've been nice to know what dishes came from what countries. There were hot and cold foods. Juice, fruit and desserts. Lots of vegetarian options. It was all you can eat so $45 a person was fair. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. I definitely want the try Salsa Rosada's regular menu. The reviews are fantastic.

I am so glad this spot has opened in midtown! It's another great spot for me to visit during the work week and it's a short walk from my office which is even better! My friend and I took a walk down there this past Friday and since we got there a little before noon, it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by the woman behind the counter and she offered some recommendations for us. I knew I needed to order a bunch of items so I just started ordering whatever sounded good to me. Once we ordered, we were given a number and then we grabbed a table. While we waited, we grabbed some napkins, silverware and water. A few minutes passed by and one of the cooks came out to drop off some of the items. He joked that we would need a bigger table since we had so much food! He wasn't joking. We really did have just about 1 of everything and it was all so good! I really liked the empanada with cheese, the cheese was gooey and the pastry was so soft flaky. I also really enjoyed the cheese and guava item, anything with guava is something I order so I was glad to see this on their menu. Yuca fries were also a hit with the dipping sauce and not to mention the maduros for a little sweet treat at the end of the meal. This was all so flavorful and fresh. I cannot wait to go back! Mandy was walking around when we were there so we chatted briefly and I thanked her for opening this spot. I really hope it can be successful so that it can stay around for a very long time! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the decor is quite simple and nice. I definitely encourage you to visit soon.

I heard about this new restaurant from the owners of Mayo Ketchup and I was excited for this new venezuelan restaurant to open, especially after they expanded their menu. They now have a wide array of Colombian and Venezuelan dishes. For my first time ordering from the restaurant I did carryout on their website and ordered the steak cachapa and chocolate tres leches. They messed up on the steak cachapa and gave me a cheese cachapa instead. After calling the restaurant and telling them they quickly fixed the issue, so I was glad about that. In the future I think they could add onto the cachapas and include different toppings like some type of sauce and queso fresco, it was good overall but has potential to be even better. I was a little disappointed with their chocolate tres leches. The flavor was good but it didn't contain the milk sauce throughout the entire cake like it should have, only the bottom was moist but the top and middle was not. I will go again and give it another try because I still like the concept of the restaurant and they are still a new restaurant, so I'm sure they're still making improvements and working out the kinks.

I remember the Lomo Saltado being one of their popular dish and it being tender and juicy. This time, it was rough and chewy to the point that it hurt our jaws. I found it odd because the steak that came with the Tallarin Verde was tender and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the Jalea, which came out cold and dry. They decorated the place with Cinco de Mayo and Mother's day feats, which were really cool and pretty! I'd like to give this place another try because there are so many good reviews about this place. Since the Lomo Saltado was disappointing, I plan to try their ceviche and the Aji deGallina next, as those seem to be popular dishes as well. The interior is beautifully decorated, I felt transported to another land. Delicious, authentic food with excellent service. The veggie fajitas were outstanding, loaded with a variety of vegetables and served sizzling hot. We were quite full from appetizers and entrees, but had to try a dessert. I was intrigued by Blue Corn Pudding. It arrived piping hot, very blue almost purple with the consistency of soup, rather than pudding. Heavily laced with cinnamon, tasted somewhat like spiced apples and was super sweet. Tasty, took most of it home to enjoy over ice cream or angel food cake. Will definitely return to try more delicacies.

The spicy chicken isn't overwhelmingly spicy & the steak one had the most amazing savory sauce in it. My friend tried the butternut squash one and said it was really good as well. I asked her about the spices and she told me they import everything - the oregano, paprika, peppers, and even the empanada dough! The restaurant is very clean and has nice cultural decor. A table next to us had a chicken dish of some sort that looked so good - needless to say I'll be back to try that.
