The way this chain works is: pick out your format (e.g burrito, a bowl, nachos, etc), then choose a meat. Then lettuce, veggies, salsa, etc can be added. Guacamole and a few other items are extra. You have only yourself to blame if you don't like what you get! I somehow got the impression that the owners were actually the front lind workers: friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Yum, Salsarita's is my favorite of the fast casual Mexican chains. Better than Qdoba, and WAY better than Chipotle. Their chips are the highlight- I don't know what they season them with, but they're incredible! Drinks are self-serve, so free refills, which is good. Horrible! This place was good a few years ago but not anymore. And they are very stingy with the quantity they add to your order. Had I not asked for "extra" lettuce or tomatoes, my burrito would've been the size of a taquito. The server gave my husband 2 scoops of rice and me only one and I'm not sure why. I asked for more shredded lettuce because I didn't think the five slivers (yes five, I counted) was sufficient. I came in and was immediately greeted by a smiling face. He made my food up quickly, a bowl with no meat and some toppings, and gave me what I wanted and it was yummy. The only two smalls complaints I have is that the queso was not very warm. I got the combo with chips and a drink and wanted some queso and it was room temperature within a minute of me having it, which tells me it wasn't hot in the first place. Secondly, I wish their pico's veggies (specifically the jalapeño and red onion) were diced smaller, I don't like chunk upon chunk of jalapeño and red onion in my mouth all at once. My first horrible interaction was when I placed a mobile order to be ready at least 30 minutes out. When I went to pick it up on my 30 minute lunch it hadn't even been started yet. There was a line of people and she said that I had to wait until she helped those in line. A second time, I ordered online, it again wasn't ready and I was huffed and puffed at for expecting it to be ready. I completed an online order on Monday. They re-opened that day. The order was not ready when I arrived. There were about 8 people in the restaurant all waiting for their orders, and some placing orders. The female owner came out, from the back, and saw how many people were in the restaurant, but did NOT ask any to wait outside due to the executive order. They were also not wearing facemasks to cover their mouths and noses. There were literally wearing them like necklaces around their necks. I have never had an issue with a rude staff member at this location (Brighton), just as an fyi. I used to come in at least twice a week because I'm addicted to the summer season salad w/ the pineapple salsa. So good! I love the chicken at Salsaritas compared to Qdoba and Chipotle, and I'm always in and out with almost never an issue. My only complaint is that recently they have changed the corn salsa recipe to some creamy based thing and they say it's now a seasonal salsa...no thanks. Also, the portion sizes are smaller on the salads (not w/ the taco shell bowl) yet the prices remain the same. I won't be in nearly as much just because it's too expensive and the value isn't there, but it is really good (imo) and the staff is nice (even though it changes too much). read more

Salsarita's is my favorite quick service Mexican food restaurant. They have more fresh toppings than anywhere else and more colorful options too. I enjoy having plentiful colors in my food rather than the bland beige colors offered by some other places. We dine at Salsarita's frequently for lunch since our office is nearby, and we always find that the staff is quite friendly and helpful. I enjoy seeing the owner on site to address any concerns that might come up and making sure that the restaurant is clean and the quality is top-notch. read more

Nice, clean, bright and colorful when you walk in. The menu is simple and straightforward. I got a Taco Salad with pulled pork and anything you want for toppings including a good flavored sour cream in a shell. Everything I had was very fresh. It was really good food and everyone else had nothing but positive comments on the food. Man I love me some Salsaritas. I recently discovered their carry out option. You can get tacos with all the fixin's for 4, 8, or 12 people. They put the toppings in separate containers so it will keep for a day or two if you don't finish it. The toppings are the best part, cuz you get to pick from grilled veggies, corn and beans, fresh tomatoes, beef, chicken, pork, onions, jalapenos, cheese, caso, and a whole bunch more. Everything is extremely fresh. I just wish it was easier to get to, cuz I don't shop at the Roundabout Mall very often read more

I picked up a large catering order on Saturday and it was great! I had called the week before to touch base with staff and then placed my order online. It was simple and easy to do. Everything was ready when we arrived, staff (a gentleman) was super helpful and kind on the phone and in store, everything was exactly as ordered. I always worry when I order catering that we'll run out of food but we had more than enough and guests were able to take some food home. Meh. I wanted to like this place, my friend says it's better than my usual quick go-to burrito place. The first problem is that Salsarita's is expensive! I got a small burrito bowl, added queso to it, and it ended up being $9! I have food allergies so I'm limited as to what kind of salsa I can have (only the corn salsa) and I was given maybe a tablespoon full. And that's probably being generous. When I asked for more, the girl working rolled her eyes. I'm sorry if you're having a bad day or hate your job but I didn't realize I was making an unrealistic request. My other gripe is that the items are sitting in some sort of water, so when I get my food everything's in at least 1/4 inch of this liquid. It was completely unappetizing. I ended up pouring it out to try to salvage my meal, which was completely lackluster. The chicken had good flavor, but the beans were obviously straight from a can. Nothing had any seasoning or flavor other than the chicken, which seems so odd. Sorry Salsarita's, I'm sticking with other options. It's not me, it's totally you. read more

This is my husband's absolute favorite place to go. He suggests it every time I don't feel like cooking. He will not go to qdoba or chipotle, so I don't even try. It's bright, colorful and the music isn't overly loud. The booths aren't super comfortable, but the tables/chairs are a little better. When I first started eating here, I wasn't eating meat - this place is great if you are vegetarian. They have black beans, refried beans and fajita veggies that you can get instead of meat. I will say that when I started eating the meat, I was less than thrilled. It seemed like it had been sitting there a while and was a little dry or had that nasty crust on it from sitting. I usually just don't get meat or I get the chicken, which seems to move the quickest. My husband likes the steak, I haven't tried that. The chips at Salsarita's are to die for. I always get them with queso. I also love that they have bottled hot sauce for you to try. Found my new favorite sauce here. The service is always good - the people are kind and friendly. Seems like they are training a lot, which can be annoying because all the new people do things a little bit differently. For example, they all seem to have a different definition of 'a few onions'. We placed a large order for work and they messed up our order (gave us double guac instead of double queso).
