When I want a burrito bowl, I go to Salsarita's. Their bowl is good size( usually that is 2 meals for me), reasonably priced, lots of things to choose from. I usually order take out and the staff is always friendly. Parking is easy either in front of the store or on the side. The only thing is the floor in the store always looks dirty, maybe it's due to the color or the material. I do see people cleaning every time I was there. read more

I understand that businesses are still short staffed, but the young guy that took care of me around 7 pm, clearly needs to be further trained on sanitation, and how to properly expedite orders. A customer, such as myself, shouldn't have to tell the person waiting on me, " Do you mind changing your gloves, after he literally just got done sweeping the floor, and was about to start preparing my food. To make matters, even worse, I received half of a full taco salad bowl, that was luke warm. Thank goodness, that I had a coupon for $ 5 off, and my bill came out to $ 6.51; for the service received, the food was only so so. Salsarita's has quickly become our go-to for chain Mexican food. The ingredients feel fresher than places like Moes and chipotle and they do not skimp on the food. I very often can stretch a meal to be two very filling portions. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful while ordering. The first time you go can be pretty intimidating because they don't have the items named in an accessible place so you may fumble a few times on your first few orders. Been aware of this place forever now, but never eaten here because of the bigger named Mexican food joints in the area. That was a grave mistake. Just had the best quesadilla in a long time. Whoever made my chicken quesadilla at 330pm on 8/18/20 made everything to my specifications and beyond. I love my quesadilla a little bit extra crispy and well-browned but that rarely happens and I didn't even have to request it. I asked for an array of sides including lettuce, tomato, onions, sour cream, beans, and pico and it was all given in copious amounts. Will be returning for sure. Place is very clean and they have a bar area which is unique compared to your Chipotle and Moe's and very similar pricing. I def like their style over the other two. read more

I would like to know what ancestor I pissed off to get such disrespectful food. Ordered from this Salsarita location, and based on the quality and care of the food, I know not to go back. Either someone was pissed to be working, or there were some unruly spirits in the mix. I ordered three tacos for my kiddos, and to my surprise, one of them was empty, because rhe contents were thrown in the box like a burrito bowl. I had to laugh, because no even Taco Bell would dare to do something like this -- and that's saying something. I ordered a bowl with *no* cheese. I know I did, because when I look back on the order, *no* cheese is clearly written. Yet, my bowl had what? A heaping amount of cheese. Salsaritas is my absolute favorite of all taco chains! Their medium salsa I crave all the time. I also am addicted to the seasoning they put on their chips. I oscillate between the two taco combo and the nachos especially if it's nacho Wednesday because they are huge and only $8. I typically get their shrimp, it's delicious and I'm so glad we have a chain that actually has a seafood option. Tip for nachos, get the queso and salsa on the side so the nachos don't get too soggy. Their queso is also so good. I've been to this Salsarita's location a few times and my most recent experience compelled this review. I was starving after work, so I decided to grab something to-go on the way home. I wanted to stray away from Moe's or Chipotle since those two places are my go-to. I now remember why they are. The place is pretty clean and the food tastes good, so nothing wrong in that department in my opinion. I do like how their chips have some seasoning, but they are paper thin! I would use the chips for my own creation of nachos and the chips crumbled into tiny pieces. I don't go to Salsarita's that often to remember what's on their menu. The person preparing my food looked like a student who was on winter break, which is fine, but the vibe I got from her rubbed me the wrong way. She made me feel like I had to rush when I was the only one in line. For the amount of food, I always felt like Salsarita's was on the more expensive side compared to Chipotle or Moe's. I guess the one thing Salsarita's has to offer is that they have bar seating. One thing that really bothered me was how my quesadilla was cut up. I know at Moe's they will cut them in triangles, but my girl cut the sides in triangles, then the middle in thin rectangles. I thought to myself, "this can't be how it's supposed to be shaped, everything's going to fall out." But I thought I could avoid a mess, but I failed and everything fell out. Kind of sad when I want to enjoy my food and it just all falls out. I don't know if I would come back to Salsarita's. It seems like to need to re-train their staff because the food and service were not cutting it for me. I would not want anyone else to have the same experience that I did. read more

We had salsarita's catered to the office today and I did not know what to expect as I have not had it before.. but I am extremely disappointed in this "Mexican food" - It was like a DIY taco bar we had delivered and everything was just SO bland. The tortillas, the ground beef, the chicken, 2 styles of rice, the pico de gallo even the shredded cheese - all had no flavor at all. One star for the "tacos" because they had nicely organized trays for delivery. The other star is for their chips/salsa. These chips are super thin and quite oily, but they have a nice crunch. Only some of the chips have this seasoning on it (tastes like mr noodles mushroom flavor seasoning- aka tons of salt) and sometimes you get a chip with too much and some with not enough so you can't win. In fact, there are so many options that a little more help and guidance from the crew would be welcome. They kind of expect that you are a regular and know what you want. I had beef in my burrito but while looking at the various meat options, it did appear that some were a little dried out from sitting too long. That's place where improvements should be made. I am not doubting that the food is fresh, but no matter how fresh the food is or how many ways your elaborate it, there is still this comment in regard to violations at this location - "Food not protected from contamination or maintained at proper hot holding temperatures." Regardless of how fresh that food comes out, this violation will still be an issue. I am certain you are working on this, however I did not see anything of the sort on my visit. Next, there are at least 3 other competitors within 5 miles that have this particular food focus. All of them are less expensive and all of them are more flavorful but the single thing you did not address in your comment and what might be the most important, is the customer service. Your employees were perceived to be miserable and annoyed and I was not the only patron to notice. Let's level set here....most people, including myself, would pay $20 for good flavored food and excellent demeanor. Your number one issue is your customer facing employees - not necessarily the price but more on that later. Their unpleasant demeanor may not be their fault and there should be serious consideration in this part of your operation. Their displeasure could pertain to your staffing model, the workload, the structure of operations, how management treats them, your hiring practices, Is there adequate time off? Do you show your employees how much you value them, have an award system based on positive feedback? etc.. In this market and your physical location, you should have zero reason to get anything less than a 4 star rating. I drive by several times per day based on my location and even during lunch there is empty seats. Is the store too big, resulting in a higher cost driver? Are you nickle and diming for every single item so that your competition can simply eat the $.02 actual cost of those extra things and include those options in the tacos, to steal your business? Although Yelp can be overly critical, there is some truth to what is being said and if your took it seriously, there would be some evident changes. It is unlikely that Salsarita's will take a dive based on any of my feedback and maybe the 10 people who read my review but if you were serious about making things better, then consider some of these things you're are getting feedback on and actually following through. read more

Terrible. Soda machine was out of almost everything and they had no idea. Service was slow. Huge line and one person working. Food was not very flavorful and the burrito fell apart after two bites. Save yourself the trouble and choose another place to do business. There was a response from someone (I assume someone from that franchise) to my review. If you take the time to read the rest of the reviews from this location it seems that I am not alone in my feelings. This is a direct reflection of the management of the location. Workers are only as good as their supervisor. I suspect nothing will change until there is new management. That still doesn't help the fact that to food is bland and the restaurant had obviously not been shut down correctly the night before. They were scrambling to serve people the second they opened. This is my first review ever. I'm a busy person and you can bet this place is not worth Spending your hard earned money here if I actually took the time to write all this. Salsarita's used to be one of my favorite fast-casual Mexican restaurants in the Williamsville area but I've found that this restaurant has been on a slow downhill slide for me the past several months. Starting with the positive, I think their queso and chips are still some of the best at this type of restaurant. Always fresh with good seasoning on the chips, they're one of the reasons I keep coming back. Their $6 daily lunch deals are hard to beat, my particular favorite is the $6 taco salad on Fridays in a taco shell bowl. They have an awesome and wide variety of toppings compared to Chipotle but maybe not as robust as Qdoba. The service is typically friendly and quick, which makes the experience pleasant. Then there are the other things that are a drag (for me). As of late, I find their food pretty bland, enough so that cilantro and jalapeño doesn't help enough. The thing that really gets me is that, particularly during the most recent experience in there, everything was sticky. Floors, tables, whatever. I thought I was going to walk out of my shoe. That stuff grosses me out and I, unfortunately, won't be rushing back. Clean up and bring some flavor, and I'll revisit this rating! read more

The 5 stars is for the food alone. Everything else is horrible. You are better off getting your food to go, because the inside of this place is dirty. Every time I go, whether they are busy or not, usually all the tables are dirty, never anywhere wo sit without having to clean off a table yourself. Ok, I really don't know why I went in there today. I am eating Paleo and as I got in my car to find something that would fit my plan, I found myself driving down main street. I guess I thought I should give it another shot. I mean I have a frequent eater card there any I continue to see my friends check in there on Facebook, so I gave into laziness and went. There's a choice of burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and taco salads. All come with a choice of ground beef, grilled chicken, grilled steak, pork, or veggies as fillings. And they will also put in a choice of rice or beans(black or pinto). The toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, shredded cheese, salsa, jalapeños, and cilantro) are all nice and fresh. There's an additional charge though for guacamole or sour cream. And tortilla chips are also available, but also for an up charge. My ground beef tacos tasted pretty good, but the beef was cold. And they were very small for the price..... Not much bigger than those at "Mighty Taco"......And "Mighty's" come out hot..... and for half the price. I would have to say that "Moe's" up the street is a better choice. Same menu items.... Same toppings.... But the meat is hot and the tortilla chips are free. read more

I came here for lunch yesterday and it was just okay. I haven't been to a Salsarita's in years. I was really craving Chipotle, but there aren't any near my office. When I walked in at 12:15 ish, there were only 2 other people in line ahead of me. I must have came at the right time because by the time I got my food and sat down, the line was out the door. I ordered the 2 tacos, nachos, salsa, and a drink combo. It came to over $8 and I thought that was expensive. The tacos were pretty good. I got 1 chicken and 1 ground beef. The chicken was burnt and had that charred taste to it (you all know what I'm talking about) but I thought it was still better than the ground beef. The ground beef was flavorless. The best thing was the chips and the soda machine. Eh, maybe I'll be back on a lunch again. I would get something different though. read more

There is a full bar that is separate from the tables and restaurant, and they have very good margarita specials (and the margaritas are really good too!) Even though tex-mex is one of my favorite cuisines, I had never been to Salsarita's until today. The space itself is nice, seems pretty clean. The bar is odd though. It's like a real bar. For fast casual tex mex? Kind of looks like wasted space. Anyway, today's lunch special was $6 nachos. Sold. I love their super thin and crispy chips. They are so good! Some seem to have a seasoning salt on them too... Yum! I added chicken, queso, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream, cilantro, and lettuce. HUGE FAN. I opted out of adding beans and rice (rice on tortilla chips?? No.) and these nachos were damn good. I would get that again any time! I have ordered from Burrito Bay several times before and comparatively, I like the taste of the food at Salsarita's better. I happened to come here for lunch with my boyfriend and his coworkers the day after having lunch with a friend at Qdoba and so I got a little side by side comparison action. I think I sort of blew the scientific viability of the experiment, however, by ordering something different at each place. In any case, I got a small burrito with chicken as the protein and it was solidly "okay". Nothing exciting. I actually got up and got some hot sauce, which I don't usually do, because I found the flavors to be pretty bland. It was filling, which was nice considering that I got the small size. A highlight, however, was when I tried my boyfriend's chips and queso. I am pretty picky about queso and typically won't order it myself, but this stuff is great. I also loved the seasoning on the chips. I'm glad I didn't get my own order because I definitely would have eaten too much. Something I mentioned also in my Qdoba review is that I will probably remain pretty loyal to Chipotle until other fast-casual Mexican places start offering a vegetarian protein option like Chipotle's sofritas (which I am in love with). read more
