Visited Salsa's Cantina while visiting Clovis on the recommendation of our daughter, who is a local. It's in a nice location -- even though nearby parking can sometimes be difficult to find. Service was great. The food was delicious and we took some home to enjoy later. I would have liked my Grilled Chicken Burrito to be a bit more spicy; so I added their wonderful salsa to get some extra flavor. My wife loved her Steak Fajitas. read more

Server was really nice, so this 3 stars is all because it was great service. Food was a solid 1 star. My cup was nasty and left black stuff on my finger (outside the cup) so i looked inside and it looked very dirty. I rubbed my finger on the inside of the cup and it was slimy. That is disgusting and unsanitary. It really makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is. The food was OK, but the pico de gallo had a strong alcohol taste to it. It was fermented, straight up, tasted like it had champagne in it. The cheese and the quesadilla tasted a bit off too. From working in food service it almost seems like they left some of the food out overnight, and still used it to cook with. My enchilada was good and so was the beans and rice. Guest 2: My food was decent the salsas taco plate. It came with beans and rice the rice wasn't orange. Im not sire what kind of rice I was eating. The waitress/waiter were attentive and respectful. Personally I loved chips and salsa till the 2nd bowl and it tasted like alcohol. The most strangest thing for me was this random chip in my food its in the photos. read more

We had lunch at Salsa's Cantina on Friday. It was one of the best meals we've ever had. The salsa and chips were so fresh and delicious. We ordered chili relleno with shrimp and mahi and shrimp tacos. The flavors were outstanding. The service was excellent. We even brought home some of their tamales. We highly recommend visiting the Salsas Cantina the next time you want a great Mexican meal. read more

We used to love this place, but that has changed. This was our first trip back in nearly a year, and we were very disappointed. The service was terrible. Our server greeted us after 10 minutes with, "Are you guys ready to order?" And that was about the last time we saw her. She didn't even check on us after the busser delivered our food. I would have sent my plate back, as the steak in my tacos were excessively salty and the lemon wedged into my food still had the sticker on it (see the attached image). This was gross. Clearly not washing their lemons. The 2 star rather than the 1 is based on the bus-girl. She was great. My kids' nachos turned out well. Those were the only two highlights. read more

Salsa's Grill Is in Old Towne Clovis , the funny thing is it's Right next door to Bobby Salazar's on Clovis Ave. Salsa's Grill Is THE BEST, most authentic home cooked Mexican Food in the Fresno area!. Leticia Mendoza uses her Grandmother's mouth watering recipes. The best way to describe it is it's authentic, delicious, comforting and It's healthy for you too... they don't use lard. Try their handmade Gordita tortillas (thicker) and so tasty. They have corn and the standard flat flour tortillas too. Their Chili Rellenos are amazing , they several to choose from ... one filled with Shrimp and one with Shredded Beef mixed with Pecans and raisins. Her Chili Verde will make you want to scrape the plate. Honestly everything I've ever ordered has been delicious. Wow! What a mess. What has happened to this place?!? Bad management for sure. Seems like the owner has checked out and turned it over to her daughter who has no business sense. We were seated at 5:30 pm on a busy Friday night and waited well over an hour for our food. Got told over and over again the food was coming by the owners daughter and not once did she offer us a discount or comp a meal for the excessive wait. I don't need to be told the kitchen is backed up....I'm living it!! A 2 hour dinner at a Mexican restaurant?!? Here's a tip...do better and step up and treat your customers better. We deserve better service and a professional manager if you want us to come back. Just ask your mom. She had it figured out. read more

This is a place epitomizes mediocrity. We overall had a good meal, but nothing worthy of the 4 stars this establishment normally boasts. We were warned before being seated that it was a busy night but the service was still on point. Still there were a number of red flags: Great homemade salsa, terrible bland guacamole. Surprisingly amazing refried beans, no seasoning on the grilled meats. The gorditas were excellent, the tortilla chips were over fried. The interior design is somewhere between a sports bar and motel conference hall; wide open space without being inviting. My chili relleno was missing most of the golden batter crust; maybe fell off in the fryer and they plated anyway, then tried to cover it up with more salsa. The 'salsa's margarita' was particularly bad though; 0/5 stars. I think they used roses syrup instead of fresh lime juice so it tasted more like a bad daiquiri on the rocks than a margarita. The salt rim was dyed puke neon green too and tasted awful. One sip was enough and it wasn't touched the rest of the meal. We didn't want to send it back because of how busy they were, but that's no excuse to make a margarita with these ingredients. read more

The food is great. I have been a customer since the founder would come into my office selling burritos. I have always enjoyed Salsa's. However a few days ago I walked in and sat at the bar, informing the bartender I wanted to order to go. She acknowledged this, and I thought she would finish making a drink she was working on and either take my order or ask someone to. Then she ignored me and it was clear she wasn't making a drink. Then someone came over to clean the bar after a party that had left. I told him I wanted to order to go. The bartender just told him to clean around me but still did nothing to accomplish ordering to go. I stood up so he could clean then another wait staff person walked by and just glared at me. I do not know why the bartender treated me so badly, and I had the sense she was deliberately disrespecting me. After what felt like a bit too long to be "allowed" to place an order and the definite bad vibes I concluded the staff were insisting on providing a disrespectful experience and decided to leave. A few moments ago I considered ordering from Salsa's again, but my experience was so bad I decided not to. Something is amiss. As I read the other negative reviews it is clear that this once great restaurant had developed a culture of disrespect, apparently with a narcissist leading the circus in Leticia's absence. read more

We love Salsa's! We always change up our orders and nothing has disappointed. The meat is flavorful. My husband doesn't usually eat Mexican rice but he enjoys it here. The refried beans are delicious. I don't really know how to describe it but the refried beans aren't as heavy as other restaurants that leave me feeling gross and overly full. Am I crazy? IDK & IDC. The blended margs are bomb. And the fancy margarita is smooth. The service is always friendly and fast. The chips are warm and the perfect thickness. Salsa is a little chunky for me, but I'm really picky about my salsa. I would definitely recommend Salsa's! read more

Six of us arrived for breakfast at 10:30am. Their Facebook page listed as now open for breakfast. Their webpage showed open for breakfast. We arrived and the doors were locked, no lights on and no one to be seen. No sign on the door indicating a closure. This will be my last time going to Salsa's. read more

I had the pleasure to try lunch at Salsas and loved what I ordered. I ordered the Chille Relleno Mango dish and added Monterey Jack to the dish. It was tasty and unique. I would try it again. My Husband ordered the Carnitas Chimichanga. He liked it. He did think the meat was on the sweater side. read more

We went there for appetizers and drinks and stayed for salsa dancing. For $10 you can dance to great music and people who know how to salsa this was a Friday night and I guess they do this every Friday. Tons of fun and tons of people, I highly recommend it. read more

This location has always been a local go-to sit-down Mexican restaurant I frequent when in town for years. I always enjoy the chips & salsa. We arrived relatively late on a Tuesday (7:30PM) and it was not busy at all. The servers were all attentive and checked up on us frequently. The food was delicious as always. I generally do not deviate from my two tacos + beans and rice, and this time was no different. I hope to continue visiting this establishment for years to come. Thanks as always! read more

Just had the waitress bring us another persons order of guacamole. I started to eat it when she came back and took it stating it was for another person. She then gave it to another table after I ate out of it. They are NASTY. Went there about 5 years ago and watch them reuse chips figure they have changed nope. read more

It is Monday morning of Thanksgiving week. We had not tried the breakfast as of yet so we came to try it. We have always loved Salsas. I'll start by saying our server Anthony was outstanding!! Thank you Anthony. The food was delicious. We had French toast and machaca with homemade tortillas. They were out of pancake batter so no pancakes or Belgian waffles. It was nice to see Christmas decorations up and Christmas music was playing. We thoroughly enjoyed it. read more

They are open during COVID. They put the menus under the glass at the tables. We went here cause we really wanted Mexican food but Bobby Salazar's was closed. I'm glad we decided to try this place. I ordered the empanadas, which I never had before. The waiter was really nice an answered all my questions cause of course something new you're always hesitant to try. It came with two including rice and beans. The rice was kinda plain for Mexican rice. But the empanadas were flaky and delicious. We also got the spicy shrimp plate. Too spicy for me but my bf loved it. We will return again. read more

I immediately wanted to leave after tasting the salsa. While it has heat, it was flavorless and bland. My husband already put in his order for a beer so we stayed. We shared the empanadas plate. The empanada (steak and cheese) was really good, but everything else was forgettable. They didn't have mojitos so I ordered a margarita. It tasted like it had no alcohol (coming from someone who rarely drinks). I had to ask if it was a virgin because I couldn't find the tequila. The waitress commented that she muddled the orange and maybe that's why. The impression we got was that they feel that they don't really need to try due to their location. The location guarantees traffic. But the food lacked luster. The menu prices where a little steep for what tasted like unoriginal Mexican food. read more

Always great ambiance. Been here multiple times. This time food was disappointing. Ordered a cup of pisole. The broth lacked flavor and there was not very much hominy or pork. Chile verde was very plain, as if it came out of a jar. I have had great food here before but tonight's visit was a disappointment. Went in recently for a party with 10 friends (5 couples) at 1 table. Each couple had separate bills and 20% gratuity was added to each. I'm absolutely fine with that. My problem is, when I closed out my bill we still were hanging out at the table so I asked the waitress if I can buy a round for my friends. She took our order and when I got my bill (just for 6 drinks) I noticed 20% gratuity on the DRINKS!!! Never have I ever seen a 20% mandatory tip on a round of drinks. So I could've walked up to the bar, ordered my drinks, and have the waitress bring them to my table and I would be perfectly fine. It's not like I wouldn't tip, but when you're so greedy I find it hard to tip. Ohh I gave it 2 stars because I was planning on coming back here to try their rellenos but I'll pass. Check your bill closely. read more

I have been to this establishment twice. The first time was just for drinks...which were very tasty. I decided to come try them for breakfast and it was DELICIOUS! I ordered the huevo is rancheros and they did not disappoint. I might even go out on a limb and say they are the best I've ever had! I gobbled them up so fast I couldn't take a picture. I have only been here once before lunch and am regretting it. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife had the Chile Relleno with portobello mushrooms that was very good. I had the two item combo with a chile verde burrito and ground beef taco. The lightness, yet crispiness of the taco shell was the best I had ever had and their homemade flour tortillas are out of this world. read more

When the owner's daughter responds back to your review. Very professional. Falsely defending her wrongful actions. Ondrea was rude and belittled a fellow coworker/ server that my husband and I witnessed in front of a party of 8. Her customer service is poor. Daughter is representing Leticia's restaurant/ business poorly. My family and I have been long term customers of Salsa's for years. There's a lot of other Mexican restaurants in town that we will be trying. read more

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten at. As a San Diego resident, that's saying a lot. The biggest stand outs are the level of custom service and the freshness of their food. Fresh chips, salsa, tortillas, rice. It makes a big difference in the flavor profile of each dish that just makes your mouth go "mmmm." Fresh tortillas can be a lost art that most restaurants are willing to put the work in for. The homemade corn tortillas here are the best I've EVER eaten. We ended up getting multiple orders for our table because of how scrumptious they were. We didn't have the margaritas but the table next to us had several rounds so they either just wanted to get drunk or they were delicious or maybe both. The next time we roll around I think tacos would be up for tasting. read more

I visit Salsa's once or twice a week when staying at the hotel across the street. I absolutely love the staff, they are always attentive & professional. The hostess knows where I prefer to sit & the waitress (Bri) is always incredibly attentive and kind! I highly recommend this restaurant. P.S. the Cadillac Margarita is awesome read more

We sat in the backyard area, that offers plenty of seating, a few TVs, and a ordering window so you don't need to head to the inside bar to order more drinks. The out area has smoking and non-smoking sections and is dog friendly, but they must be leashed. For food, we went the tri-tip BBQ pizza and a soft pretzel. The pizza was delicious and the perfect size for two people. Huge chunks of tri-tip, spicy BBQ sauce, and very cheesy. I asked for jalapenos on the side for an extra kick of heat. Right now is the perfect time to hit up this place since the weather has been so beautiful. Make sure to check their Instagram page for live music and keep supporting local!

I have tried just about 80% of the menu and it just about hits the spot every-time. The drinks from C&W are made right here in the Central Valley and are very creative on top of tasting great. The staff is always super nice, they have a line system, so you're not flagging the bartenders down, they have board games to play and special events like Karaoke in addition to the local food trucks right beside the C&W building. During the hotter month, they make some of their best handcrafted drinks as slushies, if you ever get the chance to try them, ...jump on it. Parking is a bit nutty due to the placement of the building, but I pinky promise it's worth it. They are family friendly, and I always see little one's chit chatting with their family.

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.
