Mexican food has always been one of my favorites. Shredded beef tacos are usually my go-to, unless I'm at a taco truck where I'll usually get asada. The service here was very good, but unfortunately the food missed the mark for me. I've never taken a full bite of a shredded beef taco and gotten almost nothing but fat. My taco was at least 50% fat instead of meat. After that first bite, I couldn't eat any more of it. I was really craving a good taco, so it was definitely disappointing. read more

I received Shrimp & Steak. I had eaten the Shrimp first then noticed it was Steak. When Teresa came to see if everything was okay, I said that I ordered Shrimp and Chicken. She did offer to bring Chicken, but my friend was done with her dinner, and we didn't have time to wait She argued that I ordered steak. I have eaten here many times before. By far the best menudo I've ever had! Toledo's is packed with flavor, the broth is amazing, and the quality is top-notch. If you're looking for authentic, delicious menudo, this is the place. Also side note - as a first time mom I appreciate that the restrooms were clean and had space for a changing table, not all places have that come to find out. Always a good time at toledos! I'm a big fan of the location over on Herndon and Milburn so I had to try this new one out! The service is as great as usual, our waitress was so sweet and the food came out super quick! The salsa is maybe my favorite in the valley and the seasoning on the chips is to die for always! I ordered 1 side tamale and it came smothered in sauce and cheese which I appreciated so much! We came during happy hour which was actually all day because of their new opening and we got 2 frozen margs which were very flavorful for $7 each! As I have posted before toledos was our favorite mexican restaurant, however the past few times the service was very slow. The wait staff were apologizing each time but the food was good. Tonight again very slow, we came at 5 pm again the wait staff kept apologizing for the lengthy delay but tonight the food was not good. We overheard that the kitchen was backed up. The slow service certainly was not the wait staffs fault as they were humping. This has been a steady progression regarding slow service each time. After tonight's poor dinner we will be exploring new alternatives for Mexican food. read more

This place is pretty new with beautiful chandeliers all over. It very nice and clean. We were a party of 10 . When we got situated the chips and salsa came out . They were good . I ordered the Chimichanga and it had chili verde inside but couldn't taste the CV. The beans didn't have a nice flavor either. My meal was not the best with no flavor. My husband had green enchiladas and felt the same. I am not sure if it is that this place is new or what but I do know the Toledo's on Shaw and Clovis is so good all the time. This is the new location on Cedar and Nees. We stopped in on a Sunday for a drink and a quick bite. Their micheladas are really tasty. I had mine with Coors Light, and it was still good. Their chilaquiles were okay. They tasted like they are made with enchilada sauce, which isn't bad, it just wasn't very traditional. The bar and ambiance is very cute. We went in on a rainy night before a dinner rush (4:30pm) . Our waiter was really nice and helpful cause I only wanted to get one single aLa carte item but the don't list them on the menu. I ended up getting a single ground beef taco that came in a crunchy shell for $4 ( I'd say 4/5). My husband got the fish ceviche $14.99 which is his favorite here and the kiddo got the chicken fingers with fries $9.99 which is a great size!! The long await is worth it! So happy Toldedos is on this part of town! I came on a Saturday around 11am with a party of 6. We were greeted at the door and only waited a few minutes before getting seated. Our server Lorena was very attentive. Whatever you order, just know you are getting ALOT of food. I was excited that thwy have finally opened! We came at 3:30 on a Saturday to avoid the rush. We were seated quickly in a half circle booth. It was surprisingly low to the ground and tight for four adults. Ambiance was nice and clean but nothing special except for the 3 chandeliers over a very large table. That table takes up a ton of room, I just don't get that. Service was good but slow. It took a long time to get chips and were asked if we wanted salsa?? Who doesn't want salsa? The chips and salsa were surprising good, but not spicy at all. Getting refills for water and iced tea was very slow for an almost empty restaurant. Food was great for everything we ordered. Shrimp in the fajitas was nicely seasoned I just wish there were more of them. The shredded chicken was the highlight of our food. Beans and rice were excellent, but $2 for a small side of sour creme was ridiculous. The prices were higher than expected. This will have to be a special occasion Mexican restaurant. I was hoping it could be our weekly choice but it is just too expensive. We paid over $100 for the four of us with no alcohol with 3 waters and an iced tea. read more

Very open and airy. We indulged in the lunch special options and Martha our waitress took care of us from start to finish ! Although she forgot our request for additional salsa . First and foremost I would like to say the waiter was great and I do not blame her for anything. - If you come you will have to wait a long time for water, chips , alcohol drinks, and food to come. We literally were served chips and salsa 3x because our food was taking very long. - We were a big party (17 total) . First was told only 3 tabs ?!? But then the waiter said she could do more separate tabs but it would take more time ( understandable). - Once again you will be waiting 20+ minutes for food to come. - My fish ceviche was SALTY. (6:05pm )I had two other people try it for I can make sure it wasn't just my taste buds. I told our waiter and she was kind enough to take it away and ask the kitchen for a new plate. - I WAITED THE WHOLE TIME FOR THIS PLATE. Everyone else ate their food and even cut the cake. I got my plate AT THE END WHEN PAYING FOR THE TAB (7:25ish ). The waiter apologized that it was never brought out to me and had bagged it up and took it off the tab. I took it home and it was a bit better, but realized with this one...the fish itself is salty. - One of the people in our group also got 'raw ' egg /batter Chile Relleno. Described that it was like pudding. - Drinks are not strong. We were excited to come here since we have been passing by many times and always seen the funny signs they had outside. Very disappointed. I even began talking to another customer and she complained to about the wait for food. I think they might be understaffed? Poor management? I went to visit the new location today and just from walking in was blown away.The service was great and everyone was really kind. And yes there was a bit of a wait but they are getting their groove. Please be kind and just order a drink! The hibiscus margarita was delicious. The bar set up is cool. Chips were warm, salsas are nice n spicy. Loved the shrimp cocktail. Noticed there's a nice large dining table able to sit up to 16 guests. Perfect set up for a larger party. Only negative I could find was the hard taco shell. Nice location and the restaurant is spacious. The food is your basic Mexican faire -- good, but nothing outstanding. However, the salsa is some of the best I've had at any Fresno/Clovis area Mexican restaurant. There is a "Margarita of the Month" which I've had a couple of times at the Clovis location and once here at the Cedar/Nees location. It's a discounted margarita which the restaurant makes up for by skimping on the ingredients, especially the tequila -- it's an extremely watered down margarita and has been a huge disappointment each time I've ordered it. I strongly recommend not ordering the margarita special. read more

As the male host walked us to our table he mentioned we had one of the best and friendliest server, Teresa. Our server finally came to take our order. Teresa A rude, unprofessional and confrontational waitress. It took her 12 minutes to get us our drinks ( water cups). When the food arrived the presentation was great and the flavor was as expected.
