It's been 4 years since my last visit to Salsa's. After an early morning hike with my dog I was hungry for a breakfast burrito. I ordered my burrito with bacon. This beast is huge. It had tater tots, eggs, cheese and beans. I helped myself to their salsa bar and got some of the hot sauce. This had a nice little kick of heat and the flavor was good. This was my first time eating one of their breakfast burritos and it was delicious. The bacon was of good quality and the crispy tots and their delicious refried beans made this an excellent choice for breakfast.

Good food! The prices might look a bit high, but the food is really good. Especially in a tourist place like Mammoth. I had the Quesabirrias and they were pretty good. I also tried a carne asada taco but do prefer the quesabirria for its nice flavor and the size compared to the tacos. We sat outside under the shade, and it was enjoyable. My family agreed the food was good as well. Only downside is the soda fountain, that does make sodas taste a bit watered down. But nice either way.

The alpine mountain country of Mammoth Lakes and Mexican cuisine isn't something that easily rolls off your tongue, and in fact, it's almost an awkward mismatch. But, who cares? On an overnight stop at Mammoth Lakes, I found this gem of a place in town. I wasn't that hungry, but I just needed to top off my tank and I ordered the fish taco here. Man, that hit the spot, it was delicious. My only criticism of this place is that the fish content was stingy. Given that, I ordered another taco, this time carnitas and that was also delicious. Again, their portions are small, but maybe because I am out of San Francisco where Mexican joints are plentiful, perhaps my expectations are different? Bottom line is, the food was excellent even if it lacks in generosity.

We came here three times during the week we were in Mammoth. The fish taco is still awesome but we also love the barria tacos. Now the fish taco has some competition when we visit. We'll each have to get fish tacos and the other burria tacos we can share. So good!

Worth a stop for a delicious, refreshing michelada! Don't skip on this! While charging our EV we decided to try a local spot. No regrets!

Was looking for a place to eat near the superchargers and found this place. Friendly staff and good amount of seating inside. Food came out fairly quick. The horchata tasted a bit watered down. The carne asada fries and had a good flavor and was tender but not a fan of the fries they used. The carnitas burrito tasted mostly like beans every bite. The ratio was off and had too much beans. Decent salsa here. Not a bad place to stop if you're around the area and is craving some Mexican food.

Solid taqueria in Mammoth for Mexican food after a day on the slopes. Came here since it was a short walk from the supercharger. Really enjoyed the grilled flavor in the carne asada. I got the carne asada fries but thought that I would've enjoyed the nachos a bit better. The cheese wasn't really melted. I also got a carnitas burrito -- thought the flavor was good but a bit heavy on the beans. Carnitas flavor was delightful. Food comes out pretty fast and the staff is super nice! There are also a bunch of tables inside and they are pretty clean.

Service was friendly by all staff members. Ordered a tripa taco and menudo bowl which comes with tortilla and a small drink. I don't order menudo too often but it was good but no oregano on the side. Tacos were big to the price matches. We had the carne asada fries and that was good. They are the FIRST place I've been to that uses the not-so-typical battered fries similar to Rally's which I thought was great. I wish more places did that. The self serve salsa bar was good (warning the red hot sauces have some heat to them if you're not used to it). Will come back if in town.

Not the best customer service, alright food. Ordered the asada fries with no sour cream due to being allergic; then the correct asada fries with no sour cream were put on the table madly with no friendly gesture .

Delicious and quick. It's rare to have an entire family agree on good food and also have only a 10 min stop for lunch!

My boyfriend said it tasted like chlorinated pool water. Honestly, that felt generous. I took two sips and immediately understood why plants die when you overwater them. If someone told me this was recycled toilet water with a splash of citrus, I'd have no evidence to dispute it. The service was fast though, so points for that. The guacamole was this restaurant's saving grace. It was fresh, delicious, and briefly convinced me the rest of the meal might turn around. It did not. We ordered the Baja ceviche and I have questions. Specifically: why was it marinating in what tasted like an entire bottle of Clamato? The seafood never stood a chance. Every bite tasted like I accidentally drank the bottom of a Bloody Mary. I ordered the chicken taco plain and it still showed up with enough diced onion to ward off vampires for the next decade. The overall flavor profile felt very "Mexican food designed by committee." It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't something I'd order again. My boyfriend ordered the carnitas and actually liked them, so credit where credit is due. The garlic shrimp was the clear winner of the table by a mile. Honestly, if you come here, order the garlic shrimp, order the guac, and call it a day. For the love of all things holy, stay away from the Blanca Paloma.

It's not just a few bottles on display, it's a full collection that gives the whole place energy. You can tell they take tequila seriously, and if you're into it even a little, you'll appreciate what they've built here. The food is solid across the board. Mexican with a bit of a modern twist, good portions, good flavor, and consistent. It's the kind of place you can go after a long day in Mammoth and know you're going to leave satisfied. The atmosphere is what really ties it together. Lively, warm, and has that mountain town vibe without feeling touristy. The fireplace, the bar, the setup, it all works. Service has always been on point too. Friendly, attentive, and they keep things moving without rushing you. Between the tequila selection, great cocktails, good food, and overall vibe, this is one of those spots you make a point to come back to every time you're in Mammoth. Definitely worth it.

You get a a choice of side fries, soup or salad and I was craving tomato soup due to the chilly weather, but I don't recommend this at all. I expected a creamy tomato soup, but this tomato soup just had a strange flavor and left a bad taste in my mouth. My boyfriend got the chicken pesto sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were AMAZING and my favorite thing there, but the sandwich was okay. The bread they used was kinda stale and it was falling apart as you eat it. As for the sandwich itself, it was decent. It was quite pricey for what it was and everything was a little dry. I do appreciate the cucumbers being added for veggies tho. Overall, this place has some items that were good and some that were just alright. The service is very kind and welcoming however!

Largest unsavory complaint is that I (and the rest of my family of 3) were incredibly sick within 30 minutes of eating here. We are San Diegan's so we have a strong Mexican food tolerance. We ate nowhere else this day so we are positive something was amiss with the food, or salsas. We ordered chicken Taquitos, Chicken quesadilla and the Chili Relleno and guacamole, and chips and salsa. NOTE: The only reason I ordered the relleno is because the "printed menu" says that it's stuffed with Manchego cheese, which is sheep's milk cheese. But it came out with cow's milk cheese. Heavily egg-battered so it was just bleh. Lastly, the food was way too expensive for the low quality.

Luckily it came with beans and rice (both of which were decent) and that helped chase the dryness of the chicken. The service I received that day was decent, my waitress was kind and smiled often. Red flag though: Total came out to be 20.50. They billed my credit card $32.50. I'm not sure if they do this often because this is a tourist area, but if I were you I'd double check my credit card payments after dining here to make sure they don't charge you extra. I called to resolve the issue, and they refunded me the $12, but something still feels very shady. Anyways, I would come back again to give it another shot because there's not much else in the area, but if I had time, I'd just go down to Mammoth city and get food/groceries there.
