    California burrito

Love love LOVE this hidden gem. Went on a snowboard trip to mammoth and stopped by this little supermarket my friends recommended. Found out they sold Mexican food and it did not disappoint. Ordered a carne asada burrito and oh mannn it slapped. The fries were crispy, and the burrito was juicy. 10/10. It did take a while to come out since there were a lot of people but well worth the wait. The cashier was super nice, workers gave extra sauce for the wait, and loved the vibe of the supermarket. Great ambiance all around. I'll def be coming back!

Decent food, not the best, but not the worst. Burrito was messy, flavor was ok. Not too many shrimp in the burrito. Fish taco was tasty but very messy; toppings fell out. If you haven't been here before, you order in the front and pick up in the back. Service was pleasant.

Great little spot that doubles as a grocery store and food counter. They sell elote and breakfast burritos, and the burritos are huge. Perfect if you're gonna go snowboarding and need something filling with a lot of calories. I'm usually not a fan of fries in breakfast burritos, but this one worked better than expected. If I want potatoes in my burrito, I'd prefer hashbrowns. It's worth noting that the fries were more like starchy wedges. Also, the elote was good, though not my favorite. Service: Friendly Food/Drinks: Massive breakfast burritos, fries are wedge-style and filling, elote was solid but not standout Ambiance: Small, casual market vibe 7/10 Big, filling food that's great calories for the slopes

What a hidden gem in Mammoth! We got a really great breakfast burrito on a rainy day and it's so unassuming. You walk in and it just looks like a small little market at first, then you walk further and there's the kitchen, then you turn the corner and there's a small room you can actually eat in! So cute and quaint. I'm definitely coming back. The service was nice as well. No complaints!

Came here on Sunday morning before leaving Mammoth. When you walk in it just seems like a market but it has a menu and everything! I got the ham n cheese with egg croissant and it was HUGE. It super filling and tasted great. They give a lot of sides like there was guac, salad and peppers as well. There is small sitting corner in the back inside next to where the kitchen is. Food came out pretty fast too!

A favorite spot for some no frills Mexican food! We loved the carne asada fries and the carne asada tacos! Consistency is a bit off, today's trip the asada and fries were extraa crispy, so it didn't seem as fresh as visits prior. Def a place to stop by on a trip to Mammoth!

The Latin market is a little neighborhood market with a kitchen in the back. Found it on Yelp and it got good reviews so off I went! Ordered at the register up front and took the ticket to the kitchen. I took my burrito back to the condo me as nicely surprised that it had some really delicious red and green salsas, some pintos and a roasted pepper. All were a nice add on to the burrito. It was stuffed with eggs, potatoes, beans, and cheese. It was so good it didn't last very long and it was so good. Worth the work to find them and go there. Give them a try!

Got to try this again, and wow. Just amazing. I forgot to snap a photo last time, but I have to show ya'll the money shot this time around. Their burrito is out of this world. The sauce is also faaaantastic.

Legit tacos, but the sope was a bit firm for my liking. A charred jalepeño and some complimentary beans were bonuses!

The place is a dive, but legit Mexican draws a crowd: locals, tourists, the UPS guy, PCT through hikers. All the tacos we got (asada, fish, carnitas) were stellar and came with a charred jalepeño and a small side of beans. The sope was a bit firm for my liking, but that's my only gripe. A new favorite in the Eastern Sierras!

Burritos were amazing 10/10 with great salsa! They come with grilled onions and beans on the side. So good, felt like I was at my mom's house!

A hole in the wall and a local's staple! I come here for the food specifically, but sometimes will find an item or two in the store to purchase as well. I've tried a lot of different dishes here, both breakfast and regular meals, and they have all hit the spot without making a dent in the wallet. My favorites still have to be their tacos! The process is: you order and pay with the cashier in the front (where the menu is also located), take the ticket to the back of house and give it to the kitchen staff, then wait for your name to be called when the food is ready. There are also desserts and drinks by the front that you can purchase in addition to your food. They have a lot of different sauces available for you to add onto your food. They sometimes provide free chips! The latest time it was a bowl full of hot Cheetos and spicy chips; my favorites. The market itself is small with friendly staff.

Gomez's was too busy so we made the mistake of going to Roberto's. Average food. Even worse…read moreservice.. We had a group of 11 people, 3 families. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly empty. Around 5:30. That should have been a clue.... When we requested them to put tables together they were so rude and acted like we were severely inconveniencing them. We're out to dinner with friends on vacation so excuse us for wanting to all sit together in your empty restaurant! When it was time to order I nicely asked if it was easier for the server to divide the checks by our 3 families as we ordered or wait until they brought us the bill. Server says neither could be done. Their "system" wouldn't allow it. It would be impossible.. So I said that was odd because I eat out at least 3 or 4 times a week and usually it's not a problem.. So I offer what I thought was a reasonable solution ... They seemed so put out that they had to put together 3 small tables for our group so I suggested entering the order as 3 separate tables .. Nope! Couldn't be done. Food wouldn't come out at the same time. I said we didn't mind that. I even pulled our table a little away from the other 2 and said ... Ok, now we're our own table.. Nope! Couldn't be done.. best they could do is put everything on one check and we'd have to figure out how to divide it up ourselves and they could run separate cards. Now here's the thing if you're reading this thinking I'm just whining and being unreasonable.... I'm giving them my business.. it ended up being over $300 of business for them. I own my own business so I know the value of customer service. If I make a reasonable request for something that is done all the time at other places and they flatly refuse and do that with attitude,,, that is a horrible customer service. They do realize they're in a service industry, right??. When they tell me that my request isn't possible thats a lie because I do it all the time. What they are really saying is that they don't WANT to do it or are refusing to try to figure out a way to accommodate our request. Normally I tell the server that if they can't figure out a way to fulfill my simple request and we have to do it ourselves I'll just deduct some from their tip since I have to do their job and it seems they don't want to be inconvenienced. But since we were a larger group they automatically hit us with a service charge. So instead, next time we'll take our large group to Gomez's which I hear is better and hope the servers are more friendly and more accommodating.

This is unsafe and unacceptable, especially for children's food. The steak was ordered medium well, but was served well done -- completely overcooked. The chimichurri sauce was also misleading: instead of the classic green sauce, a red mixture was served that had nothing to do with it. The coleslaw was simply awful.
