The best part of this place is the oysters!! So fresh and insanely delicious. The rest of everything else was subpar. I came here for my birthday dinner and was a disappointed. No complaints to our server but probably to management, but they seemed understaffed for a Saturday night. We got neglected a lot and observed the other tables complaining. $80 for a mid steak is crazy. But shame on me for craving a steak in this casino i guess. Meat was tender but you could taste that it was probably thawing in the fridge for a couple of days. Also disappointed in the lobster roll. Lobster itself was cold which over time made the bread itself cold. Ended up just taking out the sad lobster and eating the roll itself because it was buttered up and fried goood... just cold. This place is definitely a more pricy restaurant than usual. Ordered a dozen oysters, seafood salad, scallop, and mushrooms and turned out to be $120! A dozen oysters are $44, they give you 6 big and 6 small. Raw oysters were the best part ask for Tabasco. The seafood salad was around $35, shrimp was good, however lettuce seemed like the basic kind, not $35 worth. I recommend the pan seared scallop it has a nice buttery taste with some fried arugula. I'll start with our Amazing service from Jennifer. She was so nice, gave Great recommendations and made sure we were well taken care of. For our appetizer, we had the yummy clam chowder and basket of fresh breads. I had the halibut over a bed of spinach and creamy mashed potatoes. The halibut was a good size of fish cooked perfectly. The service is friendly, but we must have gone at a busy time as it took a little while for our drinks and food. The seafood and chips dish was good, but not worth the cost. Four stars for the food Three stars for the service I've been here on two separate occasions and each time the service was just okay. It could been better; this restaurant has potential. It's more so of the waiters/waitresses. The chef and his crew are awesome; they cook delicious meals. The waiters vibes are just off; I felt rushed every time I visited and have to get their attention for stuff. The first visit, it was not busy and the second time we went had a bigger crew with a few customers dining around us. My daughter really love their scallops and Rincon reservation road brewery fish and chips. Grilled scallops had ginger & nori dusted on them with lime aioli, scallions and Aleppo peppers. The Rincon reservation road brewery fish & shrimp were battered; came with hand cut fries and tartar sauce. The battered fish are HUGE!!! it's bigger than our hands, they are so good and crispy, cooked to perfection. Our whole family and friends love the Chef Selection artisan bread with whipped butter. My mother and I really like their homemade bread (it has walnuts in it); limited amounts they make in a day. Booo hooo. We love it that much! We asked for more but they ran out. So far I've had tried their New England clam chowder: it had diced clams, chopped potatoes with fresh herbs. It was good and hearty, great portion. Truffle Mac and cheese was made with house cheese blend, cavatappi pasta and truffle butter. Rated 8 out of 10; it was good. Baby bok choy was covered in mushroom soy butter and red chili flakes: rated 6 out of 10. It was decent. Shrimp fettuccine made with creamy Alfredo sauce and topped with garlic shrimp; it was good but not as good as The Cafe shrimp Alfredo fettuccine. I would rate it 7 out of 10. I also had the surf and turf. I was disappointed with the Angus New York steak (charbroiled 10oz steak with steak butter, smoked bacon Brussels sprouts, cowboy onions and red wine reduction) but the lemon butter lobster tail was delicious. Rated 7 out of 10; beautiful presentation of the surf & turf. The drinks on the first visit were strong, flavorful and good! Second visit: drinks tasted watered down and not so great. Location is great, it's in between the KJ Chinese restaurant and Hell's Kitchen. No bathroom inside the restaurant, you'll have to exit and go to the nearest restroom. The nearest restroom is near the TopGolf bar; to the left when you exit Salt & Fin. Overall hefty price for the service but food is worth it. Had an early dinner here today. Salt & Fin is Harrahs "high end" seafood restaurant with nautical themed decor that took the place of their steakhouse. Booth, table and sushi bar seating was available, and the restaurant was empty. When the server asked if my husband he liked cornbread, he said yes thinking it was complimentary (it ended up being 4 pieces of corn shaped corn bread that was $10). My husband ordered the lobster roll, which came with fries but was able to substitute with a Caesar salad. He was very disappointed, saying it had very little lobster meat and tasted mostly of celery. I opted for the pan seared halibut, which was cooked and seasoned well. Pricing is very expensive, but a plus is that you can use your comp points. read more

I was excited to get out and enjoy an evening at salt & fin. The pictures online had sold me. When I arrived there was nobody at the bar so I proceeded to seat myself. I was promptly approached and asked if I had checked in at the front desk. I said no sorry I was not aware we needed to check in. I went to the desk and was told there was a wait list and they had no idea when we could be seated. Remember there is nobody sitting at the bar currently. I proceed to walk around the casino and return and still the bar is not occupied so we waited. They seated us about 5 min later. We then sat there and the cooks behind the bar were less than friendly and when asked a question they made you feel like you were bothering them. The fish was overpriced and mediocre. The service was top notch - very attentive, efficient, and friendly. The food was so tasty, especially the Marsala chicken and freshly baked bread. The one disappointment was my husband's lobster tail that accompanied his perfectly cooked filet mignon. The lobster tail was not a real lobster tail, which was how it was written in the menu. We would have been happy to pay the market rate for a real lobster tail. My husband described the so-called lobster tail as being the size of a medium-sized shrimp. And he said he was being generous with his description. Other than that one disappointment, everything else was wonderful. The freshly baked bread was a standout. I think it was the best bread I've ever eaten. The bread basket is not complimentary, but it's worth it to pay for it. There was sourdough bread , cranberry walnut bread, and a flatbread with everything bagel seasoning. We came in at 9 pm for dinner and unfortunately the service was very slow. 20 minutes for a cocktail was disappointing. The sushi chef was backed up and they said it would take over 35 minutes for a sushi roll so I decided to order something else. Ceasar salad was pretty good but a bit salty. Chicken Maderia was also good but salty. My husband and daughter sent back their lobster rolls due to the overwhelming amount of dill and chewy lobster meat. Finally, we ordered gelato and it was soooooo salty! The pistachio gelato and salted caramel gelato was not edible..... like spit it out not edible. I left thinking are they known for salty dishes and hence their name? I won't be back anytime soon. One thing to note is that our waitress was very nice and apologetic. read more

The hubby and I came in for dinner last Friday night (5/10/24) before going to a show at Harrah's. We were greeted and seated promptly by a very friendly hostess. Our server was over super fast to take our cocktail orders, and tell us the specials for the day. We looked over the menu and they have a nice wide selection of seafood and a few steaks for the "land lovers". I ordered a half dozen oysters on the half shell and the miso cod. The hubby ordered the clam appetizer and the mahi-mahi special. Our apps were out super fast, and they were delicious! I love oysters, and these were fresh and sweet and just perfect. When our mains arrived the hubby's mahi looked amazing... Mine on the other hand was a bit odd. As I said above I ordered the miso grilled cod. There was no actual miso on the cod (miso is a very thick paste with the consistency of peanut butter so it's hard to miss). It was delicious, so I didn't send it back, but I definitely missed the miso. As well the plate presentation was like some nouvelle cuisine nightmare from 1988. The cod and sides of spinach and diced mushroom pieces were stacked all the way on the left side of an enormous plate (and the portion was a bit small), the 5 TINY TINY yuzu aioli dots were arranged all the way on the right side of the plate, and there was this giant chasm of white between the two. Seriously, you could have practically driven an 18 wheeler down the middle of this big plate! It leaves the diner with the impression of there being very little actual food on their plate. The hubby's mahi however was perfect. A nice big piece of fish on a regular sized plate. So I think maybe my cod dish was a fluke, but I'd also never again order it, or recommend it to anyone who eats there. So in a nutshell: great service, great drinks, good food-just don't order the cod. read more

Onto the food; I had a lobster roll that was served with a generous amount of lobster, perfectly seasoned fries and a drink that was well balanced (spirit to mixer ratio).
